Made a pit stop by coming from Greenville,TX and decided to check out the nice view. The sun and water was beautiful.

Make sure you have a floater on your fishing pole. Your hook can easily get stuck in some areas. ,👎 No swimming areas.👎 Could be dangerous for toddlers since there is no fence from the sidewalk and the water. 👎 Good place for fishing. But haven't caught any after being there for a while. 👍 I didn't see any restroom around. 👎 Has a beautiful view of the sunset. Good for picnic. Nice trail.👍👍 Great place for couples and kids to walk around and fish. 👍 The wood on the fishing dock is in good condition but may need to be updated.👍👎 Parking is ok. Did not see a parking lot so you have to park near the street. 👍👎 Total overall: Good place to go.

This park was a big part of my childhood. Usually there isn't that much trash, if any, it's very walkable, provides a nice view of the water, and there is a pier. Many stop by to bike and walk along the path near the water. There are trees for shade too and lots of open space between the water and the road for a picnic on the grass. There are also picnic tables, trash cans, and tiny grills around the area too. Sometimes you might catch a glimpse of some wildlife, such as herons and ducks.

My 15 year old son and I tried fishing here but we kept getting stuck in the mud. It actually broke his brand new rod. It was really pretty at 7am but I don't recommend for fishing.

Such a beautiful & scenic area to spend some quiet time. Clean, but not a lot of seating or parking. Take some chairs or a blanket to enjoy. The bugs were a bit annoying, but were expected, so go prepared.

Quick Overview: This park is dedicated green space and a walking trail right on the shore of Lake Ray Hubbard. There is no playground, but if your kids need a change of scenery the view of the water and PGB Turnpike bridge up close is fun. The paved walking trail is only about .5 miles, but there are a few docks along the way to stop and see the water. Be warned that there is no fence along the water line, so if you have runners or dare devils this is not the park for them! RATINGS: Poor, Okay, Good, Great Toddler (12 Months -2 years) Young Kids (3-4 Years) Older Kids (5-7 Years) Toddlers: Okay Young Kids: Good Older Kids: Great Overall Cleanliness: poor (not well kept) Bathroom: Yes (portable) Shade: Okay Pavilion: Yes (multiple) Picnic Tables: Yes Benches: Yes Splash Pad: No Walking Trail: YES Location: 4099 Zion Road Garland, TX 75043 Parking Information: There are multiple places to park, but I recommend the lot on the southwest corner of the walking trail. The other option is by the Chaha boat dock.

My son and I spend a lot of time fishing here. It is usually pretty clean but there are people that don't feel they need to clean up after themselves. The day after Easter was especially bad. There were crushed plastic eggs, plastic grass, food containers, discarded toys, etc. all over. The park crews do their best and are constantly out there cleaning up and maintaining the landscape. There was a homeless camp behind the park, but it was recently removed by the police and cleanup crew. There is always a mix of different types of people out there, but we have never encountered anyone out to harm people. The wildlife is very curious about people, and we have encountered many different species on trips. There are squirrels, blue heron, turtles, ducks, snakes, and many different types of other birds. The one thing that bothers me is the restroom situation. There are 3 portables at the main parking lot by the boat ramp, but no others in the rest of the park. It can be a long walk if you are utilizing the eastern majority of the park. Overall we really enjoy the place and have created a lot of good fishing memories here.

Very little shade available by ramps. No picnic area near ramps. No bathrooms. Ramps were slippery. A lot of flys that bite. Lame had trees growing in middle of lake. Won't come back.

Nice place to enjoy an afternoon or evening. The boat ramp gets busy and there is limited parking at times. This holiday weekend we saw many damaged boats from the choppy water at the ramp from jet skis riding too close and even witnessed someone hit the dock with their ski.

I love it here! It's on my rather long list of peaceful places in the Dallas/Ft Worth area. There are near by restrooms you can use if you have to go... Y'all come on out and check it out!

A little sketchy. I will visit again since it's free. Full access to the lake with a great view, but it seems like it's a frequent area for homeless people.
