Nice stop to enjoy a view of the lake, the stone works on the revetment offer up a what I would say as the best photogenic backdrop for photography (in terms of accessibility). Obviously the Walleye Monument is the key attraction for photo opportunity. Though google has in listed as a “Giant Sauger”, it is in fact a “Giant Walleye”, as seen on the transparent tip on tail fin which distinguishes a walleye from a Sauger species.

Beautiful spot! You can see forever across the lake here. The walleye has a great story with it about Paul Bunyan. We also walked down the dock just to see it. Very nice place for a quick stop.

Great little rest stop on Mille Lacs lake across 169 from local businesses. Only a few benches, no tables, but still a good place to eat the fast food your kids were asking for. Convenient spot to rest the dogs on a long trip too. The beach can be accessed by walking either way along the grass. No rest rooms here but gas stations nearby.

Worthwhile photo opportunity and 180 degree views of Lake Mille Lacs from the walkway along the rock wall. There is a small shed with local travel brochures (though not a large variety of them - mainly just one booklet). Plenty of parking spaces and the fiberglass 15-foot Walleye fish statue is pretty cool to see up close too.

My family stops and gets a picture with this big fish every time we visit. Great family tradition. Really nice view of the water too

We always stop here anytime we pass through Garrison. The location has changed a bit through the years, but it's still a great photo opportunity. Can you really go wrong with a giant walleye? The lake view from here is pretty perfect too.

👍👍 Such a fun place to explore! The nature center is very informative and interactive. The trails are well maintained and the views are awe inspiring. Our kids loved the outdoor classroom, the bird viewing blinds, and the replica Native American huts. On one of our trails they even found a cool vine to...
