Great food! Finally I found a authentic Chinese restaurant in Munich! Well, I’ve never been in China but at least on the menu, there are many foods I’ve never seen before in the other Chinese restaurant and the menu is not the kind of „pork sweet and sauer“, pork red curry, chicken sweet and sauer, chicken red curry etc. 😉 As we were there, 70% of the guests are Chinese/Asian . The small negative point is that it has an atmosphere like an „Imbiss „. The food are served real quick, included the complimentary sweet and fruits. So it’s a place, you will get a good food but not a kind of restaurant that is cozy. It’s a kind of eat and go. If this is not a problem for you, the restaurant is highly recommendable! 😄

Price is a little bit higher than I expected (maybe I do not know average price here because I am not from Munich) but it pays off. Flavors are really authentic and tastes are good enough. I highly recommend what I ate. Please refer to the pictures below. The reason why they win 5 stars is that one wateriest served a dish with fruits for free with stunning smile. I were deeply touched her kind offer. Please, give it a try without hesitation if you wanna enjoy authentic Chinese foods.

The place was super packed on a Wednesday evening, tells you a lot how popular the place is. We ordered deep fried pigs intestine, it may sound weird, but it was absolutely delicious. Well seasoned and peppery, there was no gaminess to it at all. For appertizers, we ordered sliced pork belly with raw garlic and sichuan peppercorn sauce. The pork slices were tender and the sauce was well balanced. Really addictive!

Authentic chinese, good portions but it did not satisfy my chinese craving as it was not spicy but more sweet. Dumplings were good. Service staff don’t speak good german pr english and are always in a hurry. Small restaurant so reservations recommended.

The most authentic Chinese food flavor. The food tasted amazing, the portions were huge! And they offer sweets at the end. You can ask for takeaway boxes too. The atmosphere was great and I enjoyed the time there

I, a 100% original Chinese, have brought so many non-Chinese friends to this restaurant and recommended them that this is my favorite Chinese restaurant in Munich. Not only for its delicious and authentic Chinese food but also for the fast and nice services. Recently I got super sick and was looking for some rice to make a porridge. I told the staff there and he gave me one healthy dish for free for helping me restore the energy. I was once again amazed by how nice they are and will forever remember the kindness they sent to me 🙏❤️

One of the few places where the food tastes like in China. The place is always full, so reservation is recommended. The portion size is very big and good value for money. If you can eat spicy food, then definitely go there.

The beef and fried mala chicken is so good🥹 And i love that we can ask for free rice refills here. I was visiting munich and my sister brought me here on the last day of my visit. It’s really unfortunate I can’t taste these delicacies anymore now that I’m back home.. now I’m craving it again after writing this review😭

Yanyou - Munich. A delightful little restaurant with such authentic Chinese fare. We were amazed at how packed the restaurant was, with customers, considering it was midweek. We were served by a gracious and lively young man. The food was just incredibly delicious. Authentic Chinese fare. We enjoyed the chicken with chillies, the pork sweet and sour. And so many other dishes. It is wise that you book a table in advance to ensure you get a seat.

Super authentic Chinese food! One of the best I’ve ever tried! The staff were so friendly and the service was amazing even though the restaurant was very crowded. It tastes as good as home, or even better! 10/10 would eat here again.

Everything worked out perfectly. I didn't have to wait at all the food was delivered fast and the prices were absolutely affordable. It was kinda shocking to see they have a lot of options for vegetarian and we ended up ordering almost everything they had on menu and it all tasted absolutely delicious. Would definitely recommend it.

Authentic and flavorful Chinese cooking! Yan You has a great selection of traditional Chinese dishes. The fragrant eggplant as well as the fried tofu dishes were especially delicious. Further, the service is very friendly and the price-quality ratio is good. Definitely recommend coming here!

Came here on a Sunday evening and the place was absolutely buzzin'! We came a bit before dinner peak and got a seat but otherwise I recommend getting a reservation. Onto the food: got their daily special of some kind of zucchini with meat(佛手瓜炒肉), then a Sichuan cold chicken with peanut sauce (棒棒鸡) and a spicy broth beef (水煮牛肉). The first two were good, surprisingly so! The spicy broth beef was a bit bland but we took it home as take out, and it tasted 10x better the next day after marinating some. Overall tasty experience will come again. One of the best in Chinese food in Munich.

I came to this place many times overall I think food really authentic and good! Service is quick! Cooking very quick! But I still not very used to Asian cooking add a lot sugar. I can say this restaurant added less sugar than many other place in Germany.

always love eating here! Our favourite chinese restaurant in München since coming here 3 years ago. Have tried other restaurants, but the food and service are not as good as here. The foods are ALWAYS delicious, always the same quality. The service is top!! fast and very friendly (even if it's crowded). Always leaving me with happy mood after eating. Also we always get bonus like sesame balls each time we eat here.

I love this place. The dishes are great, service is ok. It's a small but warm place. Sit outside if you can find table. Duck and chicken are my favorite. Plus order king shrimps!

Came very early - luckily the place filled up very quickly, lots of Asian guests. Great service and even better food. Authentic food (not the usual German Chinese restaurant), including more exotic ingredients like duck blood, intestines, feet, …

Excellent variety of Chinese food and very tasty. I went twice. Besides, they have sometimes rounds of a dessert. It is highly advisable to do a reservation, the place is full all the time, and sometimes there can be even a queue (with such a good food, self-explained). I also saw that is possible to order to pick up. And last but not least, if there are 2 chillies, it will be really spicy (a friend underestimated the indication and then realized about it 😅).

I don’t like it that much anymore, the quality is getting bad. Double check with the waiter while making the order, the pictures on the menu are different with the realistic which is very upset. And as a Chinese restaurants, they don’t even serve the homemade dumplings, only the freeze dumplings from supermarket :( But they serve the food very fast, if you are in a hurry, then good for you:) Make a reservation for dinner. This one is getting more and more popular, when we were done, the queue was super long.

The staffs were so friendly, free dessert service, the boss gave us discount lol omg I couldn’t ask for more in Munich. Must try the pork intestine(豬大腸), very original taste, almost made me cried of joy lol you all need to know that this part is really hard to clean and handle, they did it very well. Better make a table reservation, this is a popular restaurant. I can eat at this place everyday no kidding! They have real Chinese food not German Chinese food!!

People say this is one of the best and most authentic chinese restaurant there is in Munich. I agree with these people as the food is very much authentic with reasonable price considering this is Munich we are talking about. We ordered sweet and sour pork, fried noodles, and the steamed fish with green tea as our drink (The plain rice is free, just ask for it). The fried noodle was your typical fried noodle. I would love my sweet and sour pork with a bit more freshness but it was still very good. The fish is probably the highlight of the dinner, it was just amazing! I recommend you to try their steamed fish. There were two things that flagged me when dining here and it all has to do with services. The first thing was that, I ate here during chinese new year’s eve and was just eating with one of my friend so it was just the two of us. We were placed in a small table just enough for two people, we ate as soon as most of our food arrived and this was fine until they asked us to move to another table because they wanted to connect our table with the tables beside our table because there was a reservation for 13 people and they needed an extra table (mind you I also reserved a table already before hand). So we had to move all of our things and food in the middle of us eating which was quite uncomfortable for us. The second thing is about our steamed fish. It took a while for our steamed fish to come out and I asked about how much longer should we wait for it to come out. The waitress said something like “We are busy in the kitchen, just eat first what is already on the table and if it comes out too late you can just take the fish to eat at home”. This was somewhat weird for us… we wanted to eat in the restaurant, that is why we reserved a table and the waitress is asking us to just take it home? Although… yes we ended up getting our steamed fish to eat in the restaurant after asking for it a couple more times. But yes, that was my experience dining in Yan You, I would say it was great overall and worth to try when you are looking for a chinese restaurant to eat in Munich!

Visited there twice- but only because of the pork intestines! Had sooo much expectations the first time cuz i heard so many good thing about this place but the service and the atmosphere was really just “ugh”. Service can be up and down- some are super nice and friendly but one main lady (?) was super grumpy, looking annoyed by something, nor attentive. The dishes were also up and down. Some were really good but some were really just ugh. The sad and the good thing is that yanyou is one of the only places that sells this pork intestines and they make it so good here. Overall summary: i would not dine-in anymore but will only do take-outs.

The food here was delicious! If you are nearby, definitely make this a dinner stop. Huge servings, with heaps of flavours and incredible options. Love the visual menu. Staff were attentive, and although it was busy, they made sure that everyone was checked on and happy with their meals. Tables rotate quickly, and everyone was seated in a timely manner. We had the: Pak Choi Poached sliced beef in hot chilli oil Dumpling-dumpling The good duck Tom Yum Friend rice The Good Duck was a standout and a favourite from the list. Would recommend! ** this was sooo much more food for two people than anticipated and they offer take away containers if you need! Which is great!

We come from Singapore and saw the good reviews and yes this restaurant serves authentic & real affordable Chinese Hangzhou food with great service that is flexible enough to adjust the spiciness level. We were engaged in a conversation real quickly with the pretty lady boss. This the only restaurant here that serves pig intestines. We takeaway dumplings and beef noodles as well. Must Order the 水煮鱼& 猪耳朵!! This is a great home restaurant not to be missed.

A very delicious Chinese restaurant with authentic flavors. We (6 people) went there on Saturday evening and everything was very chaotic. We had called a week beforehand and reserved a table for six, but they said they didn't have a reservation for us (they might've misspelled my name on their reservation book). We ended up being squeezed in in a table of 4 next to a group of Chinese people. The server mixed up our and their orders several times and they sometimes brought food that we didn't order either. It would've been a very wonderful experience if only the staff didn't seat us at a very small table and simply said "Nein" when we asked if we could be moved to a bigger one. There was barely enough space for our food and drinks on the table.

Best meal we ever had during our trip in Munich. Service was top notch. The quality of dishes were extremely delicious. We ordered around 5 dishes. Very recommend. Will come back to eat here soon if we came to visit Munich again. And if you are a fan of chilli oil. They made their own. And it's the best chilli oil we ever had.

The food is quite okay, authentic but not the best Chinese food u can get in Munich. 👍It's strength is rather that food is served really fast and in big portions. 👎 A drawback is that the tables are so close to each other that u hear more from the convocations nextdoor than ur partner sitting across the table. Not a place for eating and talking.

The dishes tasted amazing and reasonably priced. The portion of the dishes were relatively bigger compared to some other more expensive Chinese restaurants in Munich. We visited this restaurant on a busy Friday evening, it was full-house but the food was served very fast after we placed our order, almost close to no-waiting time. The staff were very efficient and polite. The restaurant is however a little small and the tables were arranged too close to each other. Nonetheless, the overall experience was still a pretty good one. Will definitely visit again.

Amazing experience! My friend took me here since her Chinese friends are always going here. We went on Saturday at the lunchtime, so it was a bit busy. The service was however, super nice, and the food arrived quickly. Mapo tofu was absolutely the best thing I've eaten recently. The portion was quite big, and flavor was SO GOOD. I can't wait to go back and eat it again. 10/10
