We arrived around 8 pm and although check in time on booking confirmation showed 3pm- 11pm, no one was available to let us in. It seemed weird because lights were completely out, gate was locked and they didn't pick up their phone either. We called them several times but no luck. In the end , we had to do booking somewhere else. . After returning from my trip, I again tried Calling the hotel but they did not pick up even during the daytime. I raised a complaint through booking.com but they also failed to reach the hotel. After a while I gave up trying to get my refund. What a terrible experience!

Don't believe the glowing reviews on this one. The place has definitely seen better days. On the good side, the beds were comfortable, it was quiet, and the breakfast was ok. Beyond that, the carpeting was at best - tired. It was ancient, drab, and felt so gritty. Everything needed a fresh coat of paint. We were looking for charm, we got a German cockroach on our desk. It isn't close to city center either. So don't fall for that. Definitely keep looking.

We booked and stayed in a "family room". The room we received worked well- it was spacious and suited our needs. However, it was nothing like what is shown on the website. The suite was located in the basement with its own entrance and was sparsely and minimally decorated. The bathroom was dated and very small. But there were two fairly large bedrooms so we had quite a bit more room than expected. Because we didn't spend much time at the hotel, it didn't bother us too much but otherwise it would have been disappointing. Breakfast was fine- nothing special. Other than going upstairs to have breakfast, it felt more like renting a basic apartment in the city.

A reasonable distance from city center and appropriately priced. Some staff spoke English. Unable to check in early, they kindly took our bags so we could explore the city. Simple basic accommodation.

I can say enough about the staff. Friendly, helpful, and welcoming. A/C would be nice, so windows don't have to be open, hearing all the city noises. Beautiful building located on a side street. 25 min walk to the old Town.

I am visiting from New York area for the first time to Munich, but I feel very very pleased by this property! Having everything that I need, but nothing extra and located very conveniently I also appreciated the woman working behind the reception desk – so polite so helpful. I don’t often leave reviews but I wanted to express my appreciation.

We arrived at the hotel room and found the television not working, the bed pillows beyond wornout and only light curtains unsuitable for a bedroom in our opinion. The only available member of staff didn't know where to find extra pillows and had no idea how to fix the broken TV. The hotel manager was unavailable. We checked out that same day and found us another hotel in Munich.

Nettes Hotel in guter Lage!

Quite possibly the worst hotel I've stayed at in Germany. Beds were unbelievably used with mattresses that haven't been changed in decades. The smallest bathroom possible - my knees touched the wall in front of me while sitting. Breakfast service was the absolute worst. This place needs a full renovation.

The hotel is beautiful, the staff very helpful, and the rooms adequate, the breakfast excellent. The showers are tiny.

Hotel staff are friendly but having come here several times over the last few years I feel the quality is slipping. Fridge wasn't emptied from the previous guests, large cockroach and spider in the room, broken curtain, toilet takes a really long time to refill (a problem when you have a family), cleaner came into our room unexpectedly, parts of breakfast runs out quickly if you don't get there early. A truck came at midnight to load dirty laundry. Depending on the room the mattresses are firm or worn out. Nothing the hotel can change, but I also feel like the area isn't as quiet anymore. None of these things are deal breakers for me but it's also not a cheap hotel.

Beautiful Hotel the center of Munich. We found the hotel clean and quiet. All staff were friendly. The breakfast is outstanding. The buffet has many selections. Highly recommended.

Rooms are great, much better than one would expect looking at the dated website. The gentleman that runs the front counter in the morning always makes sure you have the tips you need on where to eat and what to see before you leave. The breakfast is traditional German, much better than what I've come to expect from free hotel breakfast in America.

We had a wonderful time at Hotel Uhland. The staff went out of their way to help us, whether it was Nate the night manager explaining how best to see the city in the short amount of time we had, or the receptionist going out of her way to get us coffee to-go cups for our morning walk. We had a family room, and it was spacious and comfortable. The hotel itself is in a quiet neighborhood, and the lovely bird songs woke us up happily in the morning. The view out our side window was very pretty. The included breakfast was delicious and satisfying. It had a variety of meats, cheeses, fruit, yoghurt, eggs and delicious fresh bread. The hotel even had a bottle of Champaign for guests in honor of its 62 birthday. We really enjoyed our stay, and will return if we travel to Munich again.

I really liked this quaint old hotel. You must turn in your key every time you leave the hotel and pick it back up when you return. This was kind of annoying, but also somewhat nice. For one, it fostered conversation with the front desk receptionists who were knowledgeable about the area and willing to help improve my German language skills. It was also nice to not have to worry about the key when out and about. The front desk is occupied 24/7, so it isn't a big deal if you come back late after a couple liters of beer. The rooms all seemed to be different, which added to the hotel's character. The shower in my room was very small but other rooms had normal sized showers. The breakfast was also nice.

Stayed here way back in ‘92 and it was wonderful. Great location, clean and updated rooms and quaint feel. I’m sure it has only gotten better as the years have gone by and I can not wait to return once the pandemic has passed and safe travels are once again possible.
