I came here to celebrate my birthday. The original plan was to come by myself but I decided to bring my daughter along. Having visited some years ago I already knew I loved it but I didn't expect my 14 year old daughter to enjoy it as much as she did. I assumed she'd appreciate a place with more action like a busy hotel, I was wrong. I had activities planned for us and she didn't even want to leave! My daughter isn't one to talk much and we got to talk a lot. Lots of magical bonding moments here. Last night before bed she came to my room and said "mom thanks for bringing me here" and gave me a hug. Made me tear up when I thought about it this morning. Best birthday gift ever! Melanie, the owner, is amazing. I probably annoyed her with all of my questions and requests but she was so patient and graceful. The home is clean, beautiful, peaceful. Too much to write. You have to experience it for yourself. If you're looking for a quiet getaway, you can't get any better than this.

The house is beautiful and the lake out back was serene. Melanie is amazing. She had a chef and massages available. She goes out of her way to accommodate. You will not be disappointed. Melanie, you rock!!!

Tranquility is what to expect at the Villa at Waters Edge. It's off the beaten path on Lake Wylie. There's a little cove in the rear of the Villa. I sat on the veranda with a cup of coffee watching boats and a family of deer pasted by.

Just outside of Charlotte, with shops not far away! It's in a cove off the lake which makes you feel like you're in the country. Lovely place!

The owner, Melanie, is such a nice and professional lady. She goes out of her way to help you with water, or brochure - or touring around the area for sights to see. I noticed how nice it that she also always answers the phone pronto to help you! Thank you!

I love the Villa, especially it's gourmet kitchen. The lake is serene and the fire pit out back gives an elegant ambiance. I'll continue to visit as often as I can.

This is a great place to stay and Melanie was a great host. Beautiful place!!

The Villa By The Lake in Belmont, NC., is beautiful and well kept. If you are looking for a place to have peace, quiet and get off the grid, then this is the place to come. Just AWESOME! Melanie is attentive, and insures your privacy....we will be back.
