Can't say I have stayed at a Motel 6 in awhile. We originally chose to stay at this Motel 6 due to the cost, the positive reviews and the fact that they are pet friendly. They have a separate area for pets to relieve themselves. The location was not off a busy road, so nice and quiet. There is a Greek restaurant across the street (Showmats) that was close and pretty good. Absolutely would eat there again. The woman at the motel that checked me in was helpful and pleasant. Our room was clean, didn't have any funny smells. Again, nice and quiet. Glad we stayed here and would do it again.

PROS: NO BUGS. Overall clean. Has 2 washers & 2 dryers ($2 each load). Showerhead wasn't covered in corrosion or pink mold. CONS: Doesn't offer discounted weekly rate; only to companies. No tissues in the room. Laundry only takes quarters. After they charged my debit card upon checking in for my second stay here the woman told me that Housekeeping must enter the room every 2 days, & that if they discover my pet unattended they would require me to leave without a refund... This is a MOTEL 6! People stay here with their pets when they have nowhere else to stay because it's supposed to be PET FRIENDLY! So, to play it safe I had the nuisance of having to take my cat with me everywhere I went during the day which defeats the purpose of staying at a Motel 6 with a pet. Then when I requested a Late Check-Out the same woman said that there'd be a fee.... Again, SINCE WHEN?! I nipped that right in the bud immediately of how I've lived homeless in m/hotels for almost 2 years now in numerous Motel 6s & other franchises & NEVER have been charged a fee to check-out late. Then she said there'd be no charge. Later, I inquired of another staff member on the topic who clarified that any Late Check-Out later than noon (which is not what I requested) has a fee attached to it. That one woman at the front desk just ruined my warm fuzzy feeling about this particular Motel 6. If I can avoid staying here in the future, I will. I might've stayed here longer, given more of my business but, not when I have to drag my cat out with me just to go eat or run an errand. Absolutely ridiculous!

Okay, the room I was in was older in decor and style but in good condition and very very clean! The clerk was friendly & knowledgeable.

After my 1st (unfortunately negative and worst) experience at Motel 6 in Washington DC in May 2022 I was a bit concerned if I should book at Motel 6 again (roaches, strong smell of smoke - even though it was declared as a non-smoking room, burnt smoke stains on the bed sheets, weed crackers around the building). But Motel 6 in Gastonia, NC was a POSITIVE SURPRISE and I had a VERY GOOD EXPERIENCE during my 2-night stay: + employees are super friendly and helpful + room was clean + everything was functioning well and in good condition + no roaches + no smell of smoke + the building from the outside looks beautiful + enough parking space + quiet environment + I spontaneously decided to stay a night longer and extending the booking of my stay was possible without any problems I have nothing negative to say, everything from beginning to end was good. If I'm ever in this area again, I'll definately book here again. Thank you! :)

I had a Great experience here at Motel 6 the Staff was very Friendly I didn't have one complaint bout anything I also got to meet a few nice people there as well. I love the rooms it's very quiet there not a whole lot of traffic coming thru. I would mos def come and visit again if they will let me lol 🤣 just kidding overall it was a Great Experience

Rooms were clean. If two beds are in the room PLEASE put a extra room of tissue paper in the bathroom. Four people were in the room.

Nice and friendly staff. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay.

Awesome receptionist very friendly easy check-in process. They don’t serve coffee/tea at night and unfortunately AC had a bothering smell couldn’t use it.
