Blaydon Shopping Centre

Shopping center

👍👍 My regular shopping done here. Unfortunately. My favourite small shops have actually all gone. Only B+M left. Forgot Boyes The shop that has everything. And Iceland, and Superdrug, and Home Bargains, and Greggs, and + plenty charity shops. Oh And... a Lloyds Bank. Not many of them left open. People often mention shops, shopping, shop, centre, Morrisons, Bargains, good, parking, Home, local,

Starting to go down hill very badly. Loved this place but shops are shutting down. Charity shops are few and far between. Used to have a poundland or pound zone now its shut. Rather go to consett there's more shops there than blaydon.

There are some good services here (opticians, supermarket, library etc) but cayn't help feeling it's a bit dead on its feet.

A love. A little shopping complex. Definitely full of locals, listening to some of the conversations, I guess it's where a lot of people get out and socialise as well as shop. I think you'll find everyone you need here from groceries. Furniture, flooring charity shops b&m bargains Morrisons

It's not the most scenic, but it's handy and you can get most things you need easily quickly and cheaply with easy parking. Better than getting sucked into the madness of the metrocentre

Cheap and cheerful shopping centre. Got what we went for and extras. Been before and will be back again.

Always covered in pigeons and their poop, so seats are pretty much unusable. Stairs are pretty dangerous, would recommend using the lift even though it smells. Most of the parking is covered by Euro park, this means if you park upstairs, especially, and are not using Morrisons then they might catch you and charge you! Pretty sure they'll soon be using wardens or cameras. Fair selection of shops ; B&M, Home Bargains, Charity shops, Opticians, Superdrug, Library, Boots, Lloyd's bank, Costa, McDonalds, Subway, Domino's etc.

Just at the heart of Blaydon, the Blaydon shopping centre comprises of the very popular UK brands on households, daily groceries and banks. Lloyd's bank, B&M, Greggs, Morrisons, Boyd's, Home Bargains, Iceland, Subway, CT furnitures is just a few of the shops that you can find in Blaydon. Blaydon shopping centre is very accessible to Swalwell Gateshead and Winlaton.

WARNING. BEWARE MORRISONS CAR PARK. 3 HRS AND 5 MINUTES AND I WAS FINED £100. SPENT LOTS OVER THE YEARS IN THEIR SHOP, BUT NEVER AGAIN!

Despite the strange entrance and exits for the cars, it has a good variety of stores and handy for shopping.

Good range of shops, clean tidy. What else do you want from a shopping centre.

  • 2/5 Chris M. 2 years ago on Google
Pigeons everywhere. Messy. Just run down in general. Only saving grace is the morrisons

  • 3/5 Steve L. 2 years ago on Google
Blaydon is a decent enough shopping centre, with a range of shops, including a McDonald's, Costa, Boyes, B&M Bargains and Home Bargains and a large Morrisons. The smaller shops include charity shops (one of which sells furniture), a Tanning salon, a housewares shop and a Lloyds Bank. Not the greatest range of shops (it is a small shopping centre) but it's decent enough, is right next to the bus station, and has a large car park. Good for stopping off at and spending an hour, but I wouldn't go out of your way to there.

This is a local local shopping centre and fills this role well, with Morrison's, Iceland, Home Bargains, B&M Bargains as well as cafes and a few local shops. For the weekly shop it ticks the boxes but for a casual trip out may be lacking.

A good selection of big and small businesses working well together to make a good offering for shopping in one place. Among the smaller shops it has a High Street feel to it and included seating for taking a break. Plenty of buses stop in the bus station and there is free car parking on site.

OK little shopping centre with some good cheap shops, b&m's and home bargains as well as a morrisons on site.

Nice, clean, and room for more places to open. Some facilities need updating to help disabled and elderly customers. Public seating need repair and replacements. (Marked down as one seat was dangerous.)

I visited here to get a charge on my EV but it was in use. Easy to get to, plenty of parking spaces. Well laid out. Plenty of choice.

Variety of shops and stores to browse, well worth a morning visit. Fast food outlets also on site with a drive through McDonald’s.

This place is an absolute GEM. It's got a fantastic range of shops and it's well presented. We travel from Jarrow to shop there.

A cheerful little shopping centre. Has a Morrisons, Iceland, Greggs, B&M, Home Bargains and many other shops people are likely to need along with services such as a Boots pharmacy and barber shop. It's clean and there is a lot of space, some places to sit and plenty of rubbish bins. It has a charming feel to it, the architecture and layout reminds me of a 60's shopping centre whilst remaining modern at the same time.

I do like shopping there but not as many shops as you would think of. Popular clothes shops like primary or select... they aren't there but apart from that, it's a lovely little place to go for a nice change.

It's not as depressing as it may first appear. OK, most of the independent shops have disappeared, but at least there are chain stores in their place and they're open.

It's canny for meeting up before gigs at the Sage, and it's near the Microbus. Not too expensive, but has a queer smell. OK choice of beers and liquor, beer well kept. Clientelle seem a mix, without knackers. Barman OK but a bit abrupt. It is Gateshead (where I live).

  • 2/5 AMCE C. 1 year ago on Google
Decent few shops there and free parking. Has a great Superdrug, Boots for prescriptions, Home Bargains, B&M, Costa, Morrisons. So in theory it would be perfect to pop in, get your shopping and leave. But be warned, in a 20 metre walk, you'll be accosted by the religious people with their pamphlets, a car recovery person trying to sell you their car recovery services, the local smackrat pretending he's homeless and begging for money (he's well known and he's not homeless, he's a known petty criminal), two super enthusiastic - and not in a good way - guys trying to get you to switch to their energy company, a big issue seller and a busker. All in the space of 20 metres. And apart from the busker they go for it on the harassment scale when you walk past them. It's makes for a really uncomfortable experience when all I want is a coffee from Greggs and to pick up a few essentials in the precinct. Whoever runs Blaydon Shopping Centre needs to sort this out.

Only gave one star due to absolute disgraceful bad bussiness , do not go here to shop , as they are not trustworthy, say you can have something and then sell it and not even let you know, please stay away from this place , Paul Dodds you are disgraceful , text your customers back instead of ignoring them 😡😡😡😡😡

It is handy for locals but a limited amount of shops the veg shop is excellent and there is a bm plus morridons and others the mcuds then home a nice am or pm out

Slightly out dated, alot of shops closed. However if your special needs child loves watching pigeons flock outside of Greggs... so u can charge through them as he laughs uncontrollably... Blaydon Shopping Centre "...Near McDonald's and there's a 'subway'"

  • 5/5 ISO 1 year ago on Google
