VERY SAD. We checked in after driving more than ten hours. We get to our room and there is only one bed and a couch with a bed. Called down and office said that we did not request two beds. So they gave us this one. Called another hotel in Gatesville and they had a room with two beds so we booked it. Told the office at Holiday Inn Express that we would be checking out and all of a sudden they had a room with two queen beds. Well too bad Holiday Inn. The floor was sticky , the curtains were falling off and the ottoman was stained.. We have stayed at this place a number of times and never had this problem.

I have stayed here numerous times and never had an issue until tonight. Booked a double room 4 months in advance. After driving almost 12 hours we get to the hotel around 8:30pm. Tired and ready to relax, we check in, gather all our stuff but when we get to the room, there’s a couch and a queen bed? Hmm, I booked a double room meaning two beds. Went down to the front desk and the employee said that is a double room- a queen and a pull out. I didn’t want a pull out, I wanted two queen beds. She said she didn’t have any other rooms and there was nothing to do. After about 30 min I just couldn’t take it anymore. I booked 2 beds and I wanted 2 beds. Not a pull out. Called over to another hotel in town and they had two queen beds for the time we needed and I booked it. When I explained the situation to the front office employee of the Holiday Inn she said “ok.” Went up to our room to grab our things and leave when the phone rings and the front office employee conveniently found a double room for us. When asked how this room “just came up” she said she wasn’t thinking of this room at the time. Kind of ridiculous. Make sure you specify what kind of room you will need before you get there. Oh did I mention, the floors were sticky, the curtains were falling off and the carpet and furniture had horrible stains. I’m not expecting a 5 star hotel in little Gatesville but I do expect a decent place to stay that isn’t dirty and has enough beds for everyone. Very disappointed with this experience.

Stayed here 5 nights, one our first night our keys weren't working so we went down twice to get them re done and when we went up the 3rd time it still didn't work but my daughter just opened the door to let us in, the next morning we went to breakfast to come back to our keys not working agian, only to find out the door was messed up they had to call the maintenance guy which took about 30 mins because it was a sunday and he doesn't work weekends,he finally got it opened after 3 hours, everything was in our room so my husband and i and our 3 girls couldn't do anything except sit out in the hallway and wait. We did ask to change rooms when they finally got it opened just in case so we didn't have to deal with that agian. They didn't have anymore of the the king suites available so we moved to 2 queens and a sofa bed, still roomy enough. The staff was very friendly and got us anything we needed, extra blanket, towels, pool towels (they're very very dmall tho) great location right across walmart so if you need anything. Only downside was we accidentally left our 4 year olds blanket on the bed, we went back the next day, called everyday for 3 days and went back 2 days later and they still hadn't found it, so either someone took it or threw it out. But great staff, good breakfast everyday.. would definitely stay here agian on our next visit to Fort hood.

The front desk guy had the dirtiest finger nails as he handed me a towel, to replace the towel that had a dirty finger print on it already when I got to my room. It clearly said no glass bottles by the pool and sure enough people had glass bottles everywhere. The halls smelled like a backed up Septic line. And the room smelled like mildew.

Upon arrival and parking we heard loud music blasting through the air. We stopped unsure whether to stop for the night. It turns out the music was coming from the front door speakers of the hotel. I asked desk clerk to put us on the other end of hotel, tired and didn't want to hear the noise. Upon entering our room we were surprised to find bathroom door locked and inaccessible. I had to go to the front desk to get bathroom door unlocked. Wouldn't recommend this hotel.

Wonderful stay!!! Staff were great! Breakfast was very good! Very neat clean property. Everything was spot on!! But honestly...I'm obsessed with the mattresses and pillows!!! Best 3 nights sleep I've had in years!! Oh my goodness, didn't even know good sleep could still happen!

The lady whom greeted me was very polite. I found black hairs on the walls of the shower. The trim that separates the tile from carpet in the entrance of the room was ripped up. I cut my foot on this loose metal piece. The love seat/sofa that I had in my suite was so nasty, I would not sit on it. (Huge stains) Dirty elevator floors.(hu ge stains) The second day I was there no one cleaned my room. When I got back to room at 5pm, I called the front desk and they put me on hold for 5 minutes. I hung the phone up. A couple of minutes later, they returned my call and informed me that there was no one to clean my room. I have pictures of the metal piece, elevators and the love seat/sofa. I am inclined to let everyone else see these online to insure no one else has a disappointing stay. The reason I stayed there was because it was my birthday and I was visiting family. Next time I will stay at the worst hotel in town, because it can't be as bad a a $185 per night suite at Holiday Inn. On top of that, I got the suite to spoil myself a little for my birthday which was 9/11. Very sad

Sleep was impossible due to excessive noise, water pressure was in the shower was near to none, went down to first floor for a soda and was told it was going to be added to my billing which was higher than it was when I stayed here the month before which was $120. 00 back then. I fell in the bathroom due to slippery floor and the tub was almost impossible to get out off soap depending was very difficult to use. the television sounds were rattlely and difficult to understand even when turning it to different stations so I didn't watch much TV I will not stay here again an don't recommend it to anyone

Always a good stay! The young man at the front desk was very nice. He made check in very easy for us. I didn't get his name. It was on 08/22/22 about 7pm. Thank you sir.

If I could give this stay an extra five stars I would. Lucas went above and beyond in helping us get situated after a very long trip. Amazing customer service! Also the room was beautiful and the breakfast was phenomenal. Thank you for such a great stay.

Nice and quiet stay in a clean and maintained environment. The staff were very hospitable. Especially Mrs. Samantha. She was friendly and made sure everything was in order.
