I was there for the freedom convoy this weekend and I just wanted to say the hotel staff were absolutely amazing!! Also, the most comfortable bed and pillows I have ever had in a hotel….like seriously that mattress, amazing! Large rooms, I did not spend much time in hotel as I was out shouting for freedom but you guys were amazing!!

I stayed one night at the Sheraton Ottawa. I enjoyed my stay and will return. This property has a full kitchen and bar; with happy hour, dinner specials, and buffet breakfast. The lounge was also accessible on 18. The service was great and the rooms were better than average.

I recently stayed at the Sheraton in Ottawa and had a reasonably comfortable experience. The hotel, while not extravagant, has a welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel at ease. What stands out most, however, is the quality of service provided by the staff, especially Pamela. The rooms are standard but clean, offering the basic amenities necessary for a short stay. While the facilities and offerings are somewhat basic compared to higher-end hotels, the warm demeanor of the staff compensates significantly for this. Pamela, in particular, was a delight. She was professional, always smiling, and ready to assist with any concerns that came up during my stay. Her willingness to go above and beyond turned what could have been a very ordinary stay into a much more pleasant experience. Her approach to customer service truly made all the difference.

We had a great experience from the check in to the check out. Pam greeted us at the front desk with a smile and a warm welcome and when I told her we were staying in the hotel to celebrate my wife's birthday, she rushed off and brought back two incredibly delicious cupcakes with a happy birthday message. It was very thoughtful and it made for a great experience. The room, the restaurant and everything else was perfect.

We had a really fantastic stay here. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Only valet parking is available which is annoying, but you pay per night so you can stay all day the day you leave. The room was spacious and clean. They had soap in dispensing containers in the room which we really liked because it's more eco friendly that way. Great location too, just a short walk from the O-train.

The Sheraton Ottawa Hotel is a conveniently located establishment right in the heart of Ottawa, making it an ideal choice for both tourists and business travelers. Its central location is undoubtedly one of its standout features, as it allows easy access to the city's main attractions and government buildings. The availability of valet services is a practical perk, especially in a busy city center where parking can be a challenge. It adds a layer of convenience for guests arriving by car. The hotel offers a comfortable and functional experience, making it suitable for a short tourist visit or a business trip. The rooms are clean and well-maintained, providing a good night's sleep. However, it's important to note that the accommodations are not overly luxurious or extravagant, but they serve their purpose well. One thing to be aware of is that breakfast is not included in the standard room rate. While this can be a downside for those looking for a seamless morning start, it does provide the flexibility to explore the various dining options Ottawa has to offer. In summary, the Sheraton Ottawa Hotel is a practical choice for travelers who value a central location and the convenience of valet services. It's well-suited for both leisure and business trips, offering comfortable accommodations that may lack extravagance but provide the essentials for a pleasant stay in the city. Whether you're exploring Ottawa's attractions or attending business meetings, the Sheraton Ottawa Hotel can be a reliable base for your visit.

First, I would like to thank Pam from front desk for making our stay extra special. She went above and beyond for us. It was my wife’s birthday and with her help I was able to make my wife’s night. Pam is an extraordinary person with such a kind heart. I look forward to many stays here in the future thanks to her great hospitality. The hotel in general is one of the best in the Ottawa area that we have ever stayed in. Surprised this isn’t a 5 star hotel yet. Under a 10 minute walk to Parliament, 20 minutes to Byward and a few minutes away from the National Arts Centre; you cannot ask for a better location with such great walkabiltiy. The rooms were spectacularly spotless. Very well kept. Fresh linen and overall a great aura. Loved having an adjustable thermostat, many hotels have removed this feature unfortunately but here we were able to set our “comfort” temperature and enjoy the coziness our room had to offer. Breakfast was well above average for a hotel included fare. Omelette station, fresh pastries and fruit and the coffee was fantastic. Excellent way to start off your day. Lastly, I’d like to compliment the valet parking this hotel has. Very affordable rates and the valet staff are very courteous. Wish I can give you guys a hundred stars with this review!!! Till next time Sheraton Ottawa!

I had always stayed at Sheraton Hotels long ago, but they are in real need of upgrading and renovating their hotels since staying at this latest one this week. I feel thier rooms, and facilities are stuck in the 1960s and 70's.

Nice hotel, helpful staff. Breakfast buffet was very nice with a good selection of options. Menu items were good too. Room was clean and prepared nicely. Parking garage was under construction but the valet service was still available; great service by the valets.

Amazing front desk experience. The folks at the bar are super friendly too. The one thing that keeps me from giving a 5 star review was the noisy construction in the hotel basement, which I could hear from the 7th floor. Aside from that, it was A1.

It's an old hotel, and lots of things that need an upgrade. But it's a great location, and part of the Marriott family

Don't forget to use HoteITully.ᴄᴏm when booking a hotel. This site will compare thousands of booking web sites and typically will have rates much cheaper compared to others! Thank me later on! This hotel is one of the best in the area. I've been staying here for a very long time. If you stay for a few days you definitely won't be disappointed. Treated both me and my dog like welcome guests. Rooms were excellently sound proofed, we didn't hear anyone all night. Bed was extra comfy. Front desk was helpful with all our questions.

Rooms were a decent size and complimentary water was made available. The ability to control the thermostat was great. Did not fulfil our request for adjoining rooms despite us being willing to move to any floor but we made due. The bathtub was slow to drain so you had to stand in dirty water while you showered. The staff were kind and informative. Walking distance from the market and tons of restaurants.

chose this venue for a concert. horrible service. on the hottest day of the year you would think they would have prepared the ac to be working. when asked for a fan because room was so hot they bring a blanket. then only after reserving the room AND paying 30$ per person for a breakfast they advise the pool is closed - again hottest day of year. on top of all this they still charged us 30$ each for parking did not offer anything for any inconvenience and staff was terribly rude. best part, no where to get food nearby after 10pm unless you uber and with traffic during an event downtown would have waited over an hour. terrible.

Recently, I used Airbnb mainly, and after a long time, I used the Sheraton Ottawa Hotel of Marriot. The location was great, the parking was convenient, and the breakfast was delicious. Of course, the rooms were clean and the staff were very friendly.

It's a nice hotel with a great location. They were under some remodeling and hence the pool was closed. However, the service was good and the premises were clean and everyone was super friendly.

Good location. Hotel is a little dated in decor and convenances. Had to pay $25/ day for parking at hotel. Location allows you to eat at a choice of restaurants. Construction downtown makes getting around a little difficult even if walking.

Great hotel, clean, well priced and we'll located. It's not the Ritz, but you know that. Does the job well and you can park on the street for free on the weekend. No need to valet :)

Decent hotel - room was clean and comfortable. Perhaps a little dated, but overall it did what it needed to do (supply sleeping quarters) Meeting room floor was decently laid out. Neighbourhood is safe and clean, although it's a business district, so super dead outside business hours.

Standard hotel, rooms need update and get rid of this old brown carpet. The space between the bedroom door and the hallway should be fixed, too much light was coming from under the door, which is disturbing for people who like dark rooms to sleep ( I put towel to cover it). Location is amazing though!

Very presentable hotel. The reception part of the lobby is not big, however as you walk towards the bar it gets bigger. The rooms are spacious. Cleanliness 3/5 Friendliness of staff 5/5 Water pressure 4/5 Towels 3/5 Toiletries 4/5 Breakfast didn't get House keeping: only 1 night Safe in room Yes The building itself is dated; needs refurbishment. The hotel is in the downtown area, within walking distance of bars restaurants and shops.

Fantastic location. Rooms are old and basic. Service… depends who you get. Either amazingly friendly or a very grumpy old man (I bet if they read this they’ll know exactly who this person is!). There was free coffee in the mornings in the lobby which was a nice touch. Gym had new equipment which was great. Didn’t try the pool as it was out of order or under reservation. Overall a good place with room for improvement.

Perfect walkable location. Rooms are in need of upgrades (but that's true for lot of these older downtown hotels)

Staff was amazing. They are very friendly and helpful. Valet workers are also so nice. I was surprised with how awesome the service was. Did I mention their service?

Excellent service! The front desk and all concierge employees were extremely kind, helpful, and polite, especially Todd Cousins. Our stay is scheduled in September but I already feel very comforted before our stay. I am really looking forward to staying at the Sheraton Ottawa Hotel! - Joelle C.L. Mak

Great location, spacious rooms, fine dining and bar, swimming pool and gym! A great hotel for any occasion. Just minutes from Parliament hill and the Ottawa River. You can walk, bike or jog right by the water.

this is the worst hotel I have visited in my whole life. the coffee maker gives water instead of coffee, no pool or restaurant and the service is very cold I'm surprised it looks like a 2 star hotel not sheraton

Dim lighting, tough sheets. Limited TV functionality and (very few mind you) all available pay per view moves were horrible.

Very very nice staff who pointed out that street parking was free on Saturdays. Excellent clean room. Good rate through Hotwire.

I have only positive praise and kudos for the Sheraton. Even with challenging situations in Ottawa they are there as a business and are not caving to government pressure. Offering help and support to Canadians. Thank you! Keep up the awesome work! Will stay there anytime!

Room is kinda outdated. It has everything necessary, but the bathroom is very disappointing and old, and very yellow-ish brown. Old looking. But everything is functional. Its 2 blocks from parliament hill, and it's not a far 25 minute walk to head to ByWard.

Hotel is good. Reservation service terrible. Very unhappy that it took that long, which was the better part of an hour to book a room. They tried to tell me they didnt know what CAA was and trying to explain to them what is was, was infuriating. I complained and offered nothing to compensate. I had to suggest they comp my valet parking. Frankly they should have comped the breakfast. I would never stay there again due to the rig AMA roo i had to go through

I went for a NYE event in the Rideau Room. Absolutely AMAZING on all levels. The food and drinks offered were out of this world divine. The chef made EVERYTHING beyond scrumptious and the presentation of every dish was stunning. The staff was courteous, kind, friendly, welcoming, helpful and all seemed to really enjoy their job and wanted to be there. Makes a HUGE difference as a customer for sure. Will most definitely attend more events here.

Large rooms. Clean. Valet service for parking was annoying because it took forever to bring up our car. We stayed here for my son's baseball tourney so everyone wad leaving and coming ath the same times. They were not prepared for that.

  • 5/5 Jas S. 1 year ago on Google
Service, location, and staff are great. The only issue I have is that parking is valet only. I really don't like other people being in our car. Great hotel otherwise! I highly recommend this place. Prices are reasonable too!

Amazing, beautiful hotel with nice, big rooms. Very comfortable beds and friendly staff. Only 2 minor complaints are that Valet parking staff are SUPER friendly but location of it makes it inconvenient and causes a lot of traffic. 2nd minor complaint is that, although breakfast spread was amazing and once again, great staff, it wasn't included so ends up getting quite expensive. Then again, we should've checked the details of our reservation and act accordingly. At that price, I would've just grabbed a breakfast somewhere else. Other than that, I highly recommend a stay here and I thank all the staff for a wonderful stay.

Great location. Friendly staff. Rooms are average. Probably one of the best locations for the price point. Lots of nice paths to walk around and just steps to the subway. E charging is available at the lot across the street.

Had a important business meeting Thursday morning, so we decided to drive up to Ottawa Wednesday. We checked in at front desk the lady working was friendly and very professional. As well as the door greeter. Even though I was dressed like a homeless person lol my suite was in my luggage. We grabed our bags and our truck was taken by valet. Pros:Room was spacious and newly renovated. Bed super comfy , salt water pool, good breakfast variety. Soup had nice smell, comfy house coat. Valet parking Cons:View was terrible facing a government building and ally way, toilet was small and very uncomfortable. Toilet paper roll was installed in weird place hard to twist and grab. Breakfast was not included had to pay.

I travel to Ottawa quite a bit for work and I always stay at the Sheraton. This hotel seems to have the comfiest beds and the service is always excellent. The bar lounge is being renovated so it was a bit hectic and loud in the lobby, and bar service was a little bit slower than normal. The staff are very helpful though and I enjoy staying here.

The Sheraton Ottawa (Albert St) is centrally located in the downtown core, an easy walk to the market, canal, Parliament Hill and more. It is also 1 block from the nearest LRT station. The hotel is clean and well managed, with a good restaurant and bar on the ground floor as well as very good catering for large events. They have a penthouse meeting room that is very comfortable and well appointed. Service here is always professional, courteous and quick - we go here regularly for large national meetings of our volunteer organization. Recommended!
