Diebstahl im Zimmer!/ Thefts in the room I lived in NYX Munich from 16.04 till 22.04, room 520 (within a group, attending BAU2023). Had golden earrings which were stolen on 20.04 (I kept them in small box, which was hidden in my toiletry bag, hidden among pants!, closed). It's the only memento of my father, who died 24 years ago! So earrings are of great worth!!! Claimed this horrible incident to police, they made a protocol, got filenumber. The most horrible thing is that nobody from staff wasn't feeling sorry for this incident, all I heard was "we are sorry" - they even didn't try to make anything to find the theft among cleaning service (logically, who else had an access to the room and could do it). Treating me like I'm lying (especially Asian reception girl who was presenting during writing a protocol with police - you should see her face). I found opinions on Booking - 22.04 another theft of golden earrings, in December 2022 - airpods stolen. This hotel evidently has a problem with staff but do nothing. I'll write negative opinion everywhere I can.

لا تحجزووون عندهم!!This was the worst most unpleasant experience I had with a hotel!! 26-30 June 1- CHECK IN- we we’re running a bit late for check in as we were coming from another city & tried to call hotel & communicate with no response. When we arrived after a long day, the rudest night shift guy at the counter told as that our booking is cancelled and the amount was deducted from our account. We tried to tell him that no one was answering our calls but he showed no respect and understanding. We requested them for a refund and they promised it (we did not get until today!!) 2- SERVICE- The skinny tall guy from night shift had a disgusting attitude the whole stay and was very rude, most of his replies were “this is not my job”&”I don’t know” 3-HYGIENE-we were welcomed by insects in the rooms. The bathroom was full of dust, disgusting, and smelled like sewage the whole stay. 4-Parking- always full Overall I am 100% not coming back to this hotel or any of its chains, as I do not see any initiative from the management + I do not see potential in a management that agrees to employ such people for customer service and leave them to act as they wish.

Very comfortable room for one person business trip. 【Room】⭐⭐⭐⭐ It would be even better if the bed sheet is covering twin beds over as one queen size. No international TV channels are available. But wide open windows and the room size are nice. 【Restaurant】⭐⭐⭐ Many kinds of burgers are available. Drinks are reasonable, 🍺 beer, 🍷 wine and cocktail 🍸🍹. 【Fitness & Sauna】⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Small GYM and Sauna are here. Traditional dry Sauna with Self-Rollie is for about 3 persons max, which is for both men and women together.

Extreme situation with the heating. I had a room with non-working air conditioning. It was cold as 0°C outside, and it wasn't warm in the room. I had to sleep two nights in cold temperatures where every breath was freezing. Of course I told the reception about that problem, they said they would provide me with a mobile heater, but they forgot about it. At late evening, they said there was too little personal to provide me with one right now. So I had to sleep again in the cold. No offer was given to change the room. At night 3, I finally got one, but it was small and couldn't heat up the entire room, but better than nothing. My biggest issue with that was the risk of getting sick on a work trip. I got no compensation for the cold room in winter. If you book, keep in mind that inconveniences, like a non working heating system in your room, are your fault and not the hotels!

Do NOT stay here. I came back early from Oktoberfest (around 1700) and was resting on the bed. The door opened (without any knocking), so I thought my friends had returned. NO. It was a hotel employee who walked further into the room and saw me, and was just as shocked as I was. He then said "So sorry... Um, clean is good?" I said "Yeah...thanks..." because I was still in shock. So he left. WHY would they do a random check in the evening if a room was clean, and IF that is a thing, WHY wouldn't you knock first? Really feel unsafe here. Careful with your belongings!

Price, value, comfort of the room, location all perfect. But for me the highlight would be the team and staff. They are all so helpful, kind and polite. I requested for a late checkout due to a meeting and the lady said yes without any fuss. I plan to stay only here for my future trips now.

**Overall Impression:** The place has a visually appealing style and initially seems to offer good value for money. **Room Amenities:** A notable drawback is the lack of basic kitchen appliances, like a water kettle, in the room. **Bed Comfort:** The bed, made of two mattresses, suffers from inconsistent firmness, impacting sleep quality. **Parking:** The parking facility is inconveniently located offsite and is actually part of a different hotel. **Aesthetics:** Despite these issues, the style and overall look of the place are quite pleasing. **Conclusion:** While there are positive aspects, the lack of essential amenities and comfort issues prevent a higher rating.

Staff at breakfast was not hospitable, disrespectful, intimidating and not at all helpful. When we arrived in the morning, tired after a long trip the day before, waitress Biljana spread her arms and shouted that breakfast was closed. No way to get anything, even though everything was still on the buffet and there were a few minutes left before official closure. Biljana demanded us to speak in German with her, because we were in Germany, whilst it was very clear that we were tourists on vacation and spoke English (which should be spoken in an international hotel chain, right?). Waiter Markus mingled in the discussion, highly intimidated my wife, his facial expressions scared my children, and made me feel extremely unwelcome. Well trained staff could have softly mentioned that we could quickly pick the breakfast, but that they would clean up soon. This incident happend on our first night (out of 3) in Munich. We contacted the hotel reception to change hotel for the 2nd and 3rd nights, however the hotel was very unhelpful, not willing to change anything, and keep the money. The receptionist appeared not sensitive for our feelings of being harassed. Very uncomfortable for the remaining 2 nights to see stiff faces of personnel and non-communication. This gave our 3 days trip to Munich a negative feeling. Not any moment we received a word of apology or sorry from the hotel. We took our conclusion and wouldn't recommend Leonardo Hotels any more. I addition to above: the parking garage was full every day. We had to park elsewhere and pay. The shower was clogged and we needed to arrange for a technician to clean. Light in the elevator is strong pink- we did not like it.

First impression: not a lot of parking space as parking was full. Luckily right across this hotel there was another hotel (same chain) and we could park there. So no big deal. Lobby was beautiful: modern and trendy. Check in was smooth as butter. Rooms were amazing. Nice coffee machine. Breakfast was okay. Not a lot to choose from. Considering the prize, this was outstanding.

Stayed here for three nights on a business trip. The room and service were quite standard - no good or bad surprises. You could tell that they endeavoured to deliver unique decor, only it might just not my cup of tea. My main disappointment was the ventilator. It was really loud especially if it was set at high volume, and given it was around 0 degree outside during my stay there seemed to be no other option if I wanted to get the room warm soon enough.

I set my expectations fairly low. It is Oktoberfest and most places don’t have enough staff. Id also read some of the previous negative reviews, but thought how bad could it be? Now, I believe the negative reviews. I completed the pre-check in procedures. Don’t waste your time with this nonsense; it is ineffective and ignored by staff. Ben, at check in had no idea about check-in via the electronic portal sent by the hotel (twice) and demanded (did not ask kindly) both my passport (which I provided gladly, yet again), and then Demanded another deposit. I had already done this electronically, which I explained. He wasn’t buying it. Showed him the receipt. Luckily a nice woman manager intervened and took over and quickly corrected the situation. Ben’s personality may not be best suited to customer service. We check into room 524. It is ok. Not great, but acceptable. Nice to have a mini fridge. We shower. The drain is completely clogged and the shower nearly overflows into the bathroom. We report the issue via the iPad in the room. There is no result. Do not bother with this silly tech facade. It will not improve your stay. I call the front desk and many numbers on the hotel phone. There is no answer on any of them. We resort to Navy showers and alert the front desk the next morning that the shower is not draining. Tell them we’ll be out all day and thank them for taking a look. Return at 11p, the room now reeks of raw sewage. Reeks to where we can’t even stand to be in it, and our clothes now stink too. Yay! Back to the front desk. (Calling doesn’t work; they still do not answer). Another long wait, only one human at reception and he is really doing his best. We explain the issue of the horrible stink of sewage and he kindly moves us to another room - 412. The shower in this room also does not drain. There was hair on the sheets. Were they changed? Whatever was spilled on one side of the carpet near the bed is a disgusting texture of yuck it’s and was not properly cleaned. I try to block all this from my consciousness and place a towel over the crunchy area. I always wear socks in the rooms anyway. Mini fridge is dirty and has permafrost. I clean it. Take a Xanax, pray for sleep and that I make better choices in accommodations in the future.

The Nyx hotel staff is really helpful, and the hotel rooms are excellent. There aren't many complimentary meal options—mostly the same thing every day. The dining table is not big enough for one person.

Decent hotel with basic services.Advantage is that office and basic superstores/eatries are nearby. Room with kitchen was booked but upon arrival same was not allotted citing the delay. Also restaurant waiter seems to more focus on Tips in spite of it being optional. If not given next day service will be delayed. Will prefer some other option next time.

Underground relatively close by, supermarket almost next door. Rooms comfortable although we were quite unlucky with very noisy upstairs neighbours (not hotel’s fault at all, of course). Cleaning could be better however, shower was a bit dirty (hairs and old soap) when we checked in. WiFi is good.

One star....watch the picture. They sent someone to clean it, very nice lady at the front desk..I have to thank her for helping me. And I got a voucher for a free drink from her. But....is it normal to find a bathroom as I did? Just asking... As a Leonardo hotels guest since 2014 , I think....

Good location in Munich. Rooms are clean and the staff is friendly. The hotel tries to have a hip feeling that at times is too much. Breakfast is very good but the restaurant lacks a good selection and the seating is not really confortable..

The NYX Hotel Munich is a modern and stylish hotel located in the heart of the city. The hotel has a unique animal theme, with animal prints and motifs throughout the hotel. The lobby has a large video game arcade, which is a great way to pass the time. The hotel also has a robot that delivers room service, which is a fun and innovative touch. AI is real: The robot that delivers room service at the NYX Hotel Munich is a great example of how AI is being used in the hospitality industry. The robot is able to navigate the hotel's hallways and deliver room service to guests. Bot is a great way to improve the efficiency of room service, and it also adds a bit of fun and novelty to the experience. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with all the amenities you need for a relaxing stay. The beds are incredibly comfortable, and the bathrooms are well-appointed. The hotel also has a rooftop bar with stunning views of the city. Overall, the NYX Hotel Munich is a great place to stay in Munich. The hotel is stylish, comfortable, and full of fun features. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a unique and memorable stay in the city.

Was advised to use the coffee machine in the room to fill my hot water bottle. It was great to wait in pain while it dripped. Bugs in the rooms made me change 4 rooms in one night. The floors were dirty. Furniture falling apart. Vacuuming is done at 10PM, banging the vacuum cleaner in the doors. The music is playing very loud at 11 PM on a weekday. Dinner options 15 or 30 minutes walking distance. Can’t trust ratings, a 4.8 restaurant looked like it was about to close at 7 PM, canteen look, blinding light and some chairs stacked on top of each other in a corner. Decent breakfast and good service earns it a second star.

Check-in is very complex; they won't provide you with the Receipt after your stay, and if they do, it's incorrect. The coffee machine is not working, and they do not have publicly displayed that you need to pay a 100e deposit before checking in. Disappointing.

Overall a nice and vibrant hotel. Cosy but comfortable rooms with all basic amenities.

The room is not that spacious, but very stylish with nice furniture. There is also a coffee maker, but probably decalc never done and machine not useful. It's the first hotel I stayed in which has a robot as room service. The lobby of the hotel provides you with table to work or you can play arcade games.

The negatives : I was waiting 15mins for check in , the first receptionist had paperwork duty and the second receptionist was not there , he came after 10 minutes from the bar he went to the back office and after 5 minutes while I was waiting in front of reception the other woman called him for the check in . Also he asked me to pay in advance 200€ ( 50€ for each day ) for guarantee if I drink something or use the breakfast but this it is now writing in hotel policies at reservation page . Also he tried to charge my credit card for accommodation while I was already payed in advance when I made the reservation and I informed him that I have already payed ,then he said me it is ok . The cleaners never changed me my towels while I requested in app to change my towels. Also the asking room price is too expensive for the size of room Also the giraffe for decor I didn’t like it . The positive's are the following: the restaurant and the elevation are having nice decor and the corridors was very clean.

OK, So now I will write in English. Everything was top notch, and you could see that care had been taken to make sure that everything was correct and clean. I know that in the future, when I have to find a room quickly, (this trip was personal business oriented,) I will have the Leonardo Hotel Chain, and NYX very high on the list of choices. My quick stay gave me nothing to complain about. Thank You for the Top Service! Sincerely, Randolph

The hotel looks very nice and the room was ok, but one of the female staff at the reception desk was very unprofessional and extremely inappropriate. I will not stay there ever again. Please, teach your staff proper boundaries!

I've made a reservation for two from 31.12. to 3.1. in Leonardo hotel and everything seemed okay at first. When we arrived the hotel wasn't even working. The note on the entrance said to go across the street to NYX hotel, where our reservation was transferred. We checked in, took our cards and entered our room. Later that night the room was getting colder and colder. We were so tired that we went to sleep right away and only complained to the staff in the morning about heating problem when we left for a quick trip. We were gone for 4 hours and when we came back the issue was not resolved. Staff told us we will get new rooms in 10 minutes but we were left waiting for 45 minutes. At that point we were done, packed all of our stuff and demanded a refund. We only payed for the first night and got out of that hotel ASAP. I DO NOT recommend this hotel, an awful experience we had is outrageous.

It's a beautiful place. We got it last minute on a discount so there's nothing to complain about there. A few negatives would be the room size which is very small for a double room. The cleanliness was also so so you could tell the carpet was a bit dirty. The breakfast costs 17 euros.. I think thats a little steep but its not a must so one can easily leave it & go to the cafe next door which is cheaper. The positives would be it's only 25minutes or less to the center and the bus stop is right outside. The neighbourhood is quiet & there some nice restaurants around. Overall an average stay.

  • 4/5 Dorota S. 1 year ago on Google
Breakfast's fine, simple. No local tasts. Room cozy. One star less for 50euro deposit which was unexpected.

Although very nice looking and clean, the staff is very unfriendly, uncooperative and all in all not looking forward to resolve costumer problems. I will definitely look for a different hotel the next time i'm in Munich!

  • 1/5 Eslam H. 1 year ago on Google
Very unfriendly woman in the reception, we call to ask about certain things in our booking such as breakfast in the room and services for newly married couple. She replies in an unfriendly rude manner "as if she's shocked" and leaves us on hold for 15min. We ended up booking in another great hotel! Reception needs to learn the basic communication skills especially if you pick up the phone.

Nice hotel in Munich suburbs. The room was small and clean, breakfast was fine. A pleasant stay. Hans im glücke in the ground floor.

Only one working elevator, causing a lot of waiting. The power went out in our children's room late at night, and we had to wait for 1 1/2 hours with no information what so ever, even when we asked. The staff were inpolite and not at all serviceminded. First, we were told that the hotel was full,so a change of rooms was impossible. I asked for a flashlight, if we couldn't get a new room, but that request was also rejected. After a long wait (00.30 at night,), a change of room was possible after all. The room smelled of tobacco and the sheets were stainy. At check out, we were offered a 10% discount after some argument. I would not recommend this hotel.

I was in my room, door locked, and someone opened the door (with the key!) and came in. I found out the next day that they assigned the room to us and someone else simultaneously. During breakfast, when I had to tell them the room number, they reiterated that that room wasn't assigned to anyone. Shame, the hotel is quite nice.

I specifically liked the design in the hotel which differs from many other hotels. My bedroom was big enough and very comfortable. Cool place. The only negative thing was that the 80'th style gaming machines in the lobby were not working.

  • 1/5 Can A. 1 year ago on Google
Mini bar is completely empty. If you ask for a bottle of water or a soft drink it is all extra. Called reception for slippers and she said “you can come and get because I’m alone”… Freezing rooms and waited next day till to feel warm. I had to update my comment. The front desk is terrible… they don’t want you here. They do what ever they can do to make you not come again. We just wanted to drink some tea or coffee at the lobby (not for free). He started “we are an economic hotel” and said we can go to their next hotel in front… the restourant inside bring some teas to lobby as a favor (thanks to them). The most important thing is the approach, it might be the rule, policy, hotel may has it or not, that is all ok,, but the attitude is unbelieveble. There is not even a small warm smile…

I would NOT recommend this hotel. In my room an air-condition didn‘t work. A receptionist said ‘sorry’ and that they would fix it. Two days later it was still very cold in a room, i asked another receptionist and they were not aware of this issue. They moved me to another room and they said it was of ‘a same price category’, however, it was twice less size than the previous one. They said that the previous room was big because it was for handicap people (however, it wasn’t equipped for a handicap usage that makes me to doubt the reason they gave). My reservation and on their website is said that a room size starts from 21m2, though the second room where I stayed was not more than 16m2 or may be less. Really annoying!! Room cleaning was basic: only a bed and in a bathroom, didn’t clean other furniture, carpet. A several months dust level was everywhere in a room. When I moved to another room - a bed linen from one of beds wasn’t changed after a previous guest. At tap was broken. It was an absolutely disgusting smell of a canalization in a corridor and sometimes in the room. Location: c.30 minutes from the hotel by public transport (U-Bahn) to the center (waking to U-Bahn + time in U-Bahn). Breakfast is better than average but coffee was awful, limited tea offer. Some staff in a restaurant had a personal approach to guests, others were just polite. Wifi worked well. It’s a relatively new hotel and nicely decorated, just a shame that its staff isn’t motivated to keep a service in a good level and the real room size doesn’t reflect an information they give in a reservation/on their website. I did not feel welcome in this hotel at all.

Its not a 5 star hotel but for what it is its amazing. The rooms(2 beds) are really good for the price. Almost perfectly cleaned, well sized and have everything you possibly need in a room, including a practical tablet for room service etc. The location is decent, 20 mins from the center but feels safe and nice.

The hotel is well maintained. Check-in and check-out was smooth. Breakfast starts early at 06.30 and is great. The in-house bar is good too and keeps open until late. Overall worth the stay.

Nice hotel, but the beds are bad, because they split at any movement. In my apartment the joint to fix the two halves was even broken. Absolutely not suitable for couples.

I've been going to Munich a lot on business for the last year, and if you're not busy, you're always my first choice. The price-quality ratio, service and breakfast are at a very high level. Unfortunately, I have a reminder. I had to leave your hotel before the second night on business to Hamburg. I asked the reception if it would be possible to get a package instead of breakfast. I was told by the reception that packages are only possible after midnight.......
