Highly recommend! Pierogies are amazing. Also, they have great options for gluten free pierogies. Note that it can take 30 to 45 minutes for food to be ready during peak hours

Great place if you’re craving any kind of Dumplings! Lots of variety from different countries and styles, including dessert sweet dumplings. Be aware the “furnace” dumplings are more like a hot pocket than a dumping, but still good. Make sure to get the tea as it it fantastic! Overall a solid option for anyone looking for dumplings with good service.

There is not so much to say - just delicious! Plenty of choice, you can try different types of pierogi - classic, Asian, vegetarian, sweet etc... and everything is fresh, tasty and making you come back and try more. Additionally - good pricing :)

We were there yesterday for lunch and wow! We were waiting to be seated about 20 minutes, but the waitress even came to us in the queue so we could order some drinks and the waiting definitely paid off! They are super dog friendly since they automatically bring you water for dog and then.. wait for it.. they have a DOG MENU! Wow wow wow! The waiting time for the food was about 1 hour, yes, it is longer but since it is all hand made and you see the women how they are precisely making one pirogi after another, you are surprised that it doesn’t take longer 😂. The food was delicious and reasonably priced and all of us 3 (including our dog) were satisfied :)

Maybe the most perfect restaurant concept I’ve ever seen. They are really good in their basic pierogies, have some specialities and offer quality sides like soups and salads. Even the queue is looked after, they offer refreshments for those waiting to get into the restaurant! I love this place! Highly recommended!!

Delicious pierogi, from vegetarian to meat lots of options to choose from. Boiled, oven baked, and even deep fried verities. This place is known for good food and amount of customers reflects that. Prices are fair to the quality and service. The restaurant is located a few minutes from the main market street. Highly recommend it for good dining.

Dumplings were amazing and the portions were huge. 10 traditional dumplings were definitely enough for 1 person. However, I ordered 2 types to try them out. I ordered the traditional cabbage and mushroom and vegan meat and cheddar. Both were really delicious, I was especially pleasantly surprised by the vegan version. The staff is super friendly and helpful. They do not accept tips in form of card payment. So if you want to tip, make sure to take some cash with you.

The pierogie are delicious! They have many different flavours, from traditional fillings, to unique, to worldly. Their lemonade is also really yummy. If you love pierogie I highly recommend.

One of the nicest dumpling places. A lot to choose from. The mandu Korean style fried dumpling was amazing. Didn't really like the classic pork and minced beef. The onion bacon side was also not that great as you usually get in other restaurants. Could be a long wait to get in. Order a soup before the dumplings since it takes about 30 mins for them to be done.

Very tasty pierogi. A wide range of dishes. Dumplings from different countries. There is also nice choice for vegetarians. Staff is fast and very nice. Great place with pierogi in Gdańsk. I strongly recommend it.

YUM! Excellent pierogi! Expect a longer queue ;) people love this place! We waited for about 20 minutes to get in, and tried 3 dumplings: hand-minced wild boar with creamy mushroom sauce. The dumpling was awesome and the sauce is from heaven probably! :) then Mateusz’s deep-fried tofu-coriander-chilli-hazelnut dumpling with the mango sauce. Absolutely delicious! As side dish we recommend the coleslaw and the grated carrot/apple. As dessert we had the chocolate dumplings with raspberries. They come with sweet cream, maybe a simple sour cream would be even better because the filling is pretty sweet. Loved it as well! There is a pretty big place with toys for children, so great for families. The place is big and open, so get ready for a noisier/lively atmosphere. We visited Poznan before, where we tried the Stary Mlyn pierogarnia, which also allowed to try 7 or 9 pierogies of different flavours. It’s a pity Mandu doesnt have this option. There is a Stary Mlyn in Gdansk as well.

Exclusively dedicated to pierogies, this places has achieved a level of mastery that is hard to believe until you bite into one of their exquisite bites of happiness. If you haven't had pierogies before, I would actually recommend you try any other place before you go to Mandu just to appreciate how much better the latter is. A word of caution, do plan some time as there might be a queue waiting to get their dose of dumpling-wrapped happiness.

Really good pierogies, both traditional and around the world inspired! Got the cabbage with braised mushrooms with fried bacon on the side, and the spicy chorizo and truffle - highly recommend both! Staff were lovely and welcoming! Gets very busy so recommend getting in early before the lunch rush!

This place is insane! I never tasted pierogi so good before. I’m vegetarian and there were options without meat as well (deep-fried and regular). The sweet dumplings are something else and I strongly recommend you to try. We were already satisfied with the traditional ones, but we just couldn’t stop eating the sweets 😅 it was insanely tasty.

Amazing experience. My colleagues, who are all local to Gdańsk suggested I visit Mandu and it did not disappoint. The choice of different dumplings was almost too much and the hardest part was choosing which ones to take. I personally took the baked “Dumplings of the Month” and my mother had some deep fried dumplings which looked equally amazing. The lemonade was refreshing and the perfect compliment to the meal. No room for desert but there was also plenty of options there too. I recommend making a reservation as it gets busy very quickly.

So glad I didn’t miss this place. I just missed the lunch rush so was able to get a table still as a solo person. I got the rye soup, strawberry lemonade, a plate of boar and mushroom sauce dumplings, and sauerkraut for about 68zloty / €15 euro. Really good value and portions! And delicious of course. The servers were nice, and thankfully spoke English. There is even a little window where you can see them rolling the dough and preparing the dumplings which was fun.

Pretty incredible experience! I usually hit Milk Bars for dumplings because most of the “traditional” restaurants turn out to be tourist traps. Mandu is amazing though. From traditional dumplings to modern fusion ones, everything is top-notch. Great kompot as well!

We found this place after going to the Forum, at around 1 pm and there was already a queue so we knew it must be good. And oh boy it is absolutely delicious their dumpling! I tried the Korean dish, with Kimchi 👍tomato soup also really good but the biggest surprise was the apple pie. It was humongous, like half my gf's head 😂 !! We saw pictures of it but the pictures are really fooling you. Please show them this picture for reference 😅 also super cheap for what you get. The waitresses are all super friendly and smiling all the time, we felt welcome immediately. we'll be coming here again! Bonus tip tho is they have Wolt. So you can order out and skip the queue, which we will be doing.

There were so Many choises on the menu! The staff was Nice and the restaurant was neat. It seems to be a very populair place because when we left people were waiting in line. Don’t eat here if you are in a hurry because the wait time on Food is 30 min because of the freshness of the dumplings.

The flavors of the traditional boiled dumplings were outstanding, and the handmade perfection of each dumpling was a delight for the eyes. The potato cream soup was a delightful surprise, and the overall service exceeded expectations. This dining experience left me genuinely satisfied and happy!

Although the food was very good, the service was not. The waiters were slow and seemed a bit confused. The food for the different people in our group of 6 didn't come at the same time. When the second "batch" came, the people who got their food first already finished eating. As I said, the food was excelent, but the expreience was ruined by the service and long waiting times.

Great quality, great service. Popular place. We had to stand in line before we could get in but it was worth it. Not super cheap but we didn't feel it was overpriced either. We had steamed dumplings with wild boar and a mushroom sauce (best dish), deep fried dumplings with spicy pork and kimchi and ovenbaked dumplings with pear, blue cheese and a sweet red berry sauce.

I was a bit apprehensive because I don't like places that are too popular with long queues etc. But this restaurant is amazing! I queued for about 10 minutes, which was not bad at all, and the service throughout was fantastic. The pierogi were the best ones I've ever had and I don't think they were more expensive than other places. The strawberry lemonade was delicious too! Wish I had more days in Gdansk to go back there and try other pierogi, will definitely visit again on my next trip! Highly recommend! 🙂

Delicious dumplings, huge choice of most unique fillings I have never seen anywhere else alongside traditional Polish pierogi, Korean mandu and Japanese gyoza. Hearty Polish soups, would definitely recommend trying out żurek. The price was quite low compared to the quality of what you are getting, you will definitely get your money's worth and even more. We had to queue for almost an hour to get a table on a Saturday evening but it was definitely worth the wait.

Traditional polish restaurant at its best example. The dumplings are handmade to order and taste amazing!! We had the Wildboar ones with the creamy potato and bacon soup for starter. Seriously recommended, and would 100% come again. Also very cheap. 112PLN the bill came to with a drink each.

It is that good that I lines up for 45 minutes. They are the master of dumpling that you can choose from Polish traditional and international taste like Thai, Korea, Russia. It is so fresh and well-made. I really love the sauce combination that they provide. I also tried their soup and tea, which are moderate good. The food come faster than I thought and the service is amazing. The staff can communicate in English. I need to pack some home. It is very filling your stomach.

So many flavours and varieties of pierogi to choose from and the waiters are super friendly and attentive. I went there 3 times during my stay in Gdansk (plus one more time at their Oliwa restaurant). I only wish they offered smaller portions in the future because just 10 pierogi and a drink made me too full. Maybe 3 or 5 pieces options can be available so customers can get to try different flavours. 🥟🥟🥟🥟

Delicious dumplings with great service! The restaurant provides tasty meals and big portions! We were waiting around 30 min before entrance but it was worth it! So, we ordered 4 different meals and 3 drinks and we were waiting ~ 25-35 min to get it. The staff are friendly and meet you with a smile (always)! Thx guys! P.S. Don't forget to leave tips for this service!

Super restaurant for the best pierogi in Gdansk! The staff were friendly and the fresh dumplings were so good! The menu had so many fillings and a choice of boiled, fried or with a yeast dough. Highly recommend and dogs are welcome too! The pierogi are freshly made to order so during busy times there is a wait of 45min. I recommend the soups for a starter while you wait! I tried the MAZURSKIE (12 pcs.) Deep fried dumplings with white sausage, mushrooms and onion served with sauce based on hand-grated horseradish.

They don't take reservations and it's a popular place. Hence the waiting Time was around 35 min for a table and then additional 30 min at least for the food (which we were informed about), but it was worth it. :) nice service as well and many locals.

A very popular pierogarnia among both locals and tourists. The varieties are not so classic, but innovative and some are even more extravagant. Surprisingly, they aren't served with sour cream (it's also not an option in the sauce selection). But the food is really fresh and delicious. You can see the women kneading and preparing them fresh. The decor is modern and bright. The staff is also nice. There was a misunderstanding when ordering, which meant we got something we didn't want, and the restaurant took responsibility for it. However: there is a queue to be expected, as this is already pointed out on the menu (about 30 minutes waiting time). You can order drinks outside while waiting. Unfortunately, this queue also arises because the tables are not seated efficiently, but rather first come first serve. Therefore, pairs of two are regularly seated at tables for 5-6 people, and not even another couple on the other edge... but that was our experience in all restaurants in Gdansk. Unfortunately, this makes the line created a bit artificial.

Date of visit: 22/11/2019 We visited this location as this came highly recommended. As we arrived there was a short queue. Once we found our way to the front we was sat down and ordered our beverages and food. Our host was very polite and welcoming. We ordered two sets and both were delicious! Highly recommended and I would go back. Very spacious inside and all good value. Excellent.

Excellent food - from the starters, to the pierogis and desserts. And great hot lemonade! Just bring enough time, it could take about half an hour for the pierogis cause they're freshly made...

Really nice piergos with good flavours. The staff was friendly and recommended us to change the sauces on some of the dishes to better fit the flavour. It's reasonably priced, you get a good amount of food that tastes good.

Delicious pierogi! With plenty vegan options. I was there on a weekday at 4pm and there was still a queue (25mins wait), so I recommend going earlier and definitely off-peak! People in the queue were asked if they wanted a hot mulled wine drink, so that was nice. Once seated, service was fast. They said the pierogi will be ready in 20mins and it actually was shorter, just over 10 mins, so I was happy. I chose the tofu-potato pierogi which was tasty! Would go back to try more!... and would be nice for more vegan dessert options.

The first time we tried to go to this restaurant, we saw a big queue outside so we’ve decided to try again on a different day. Luckily went we went on a Sunday around 1pm, there was no queue and we were seated right away! We ordered wild boar with cranberry sauce and goose with cranberry sauce. Both savoury dumplings were amazing!! We ordered an extra homey mustard sauce but both had enough sauce and it didnt really go with any of them. As our sweet dumplings, we ordered the dumpling of the month which had gingerbread, cream cheese, plums and comes with orange cream sauce. It was very very good!

This was the most delicious traditional food we had on our trip to Gdańsk! The service and servers were phenomenal, they were all so friendly and helpful even though they were extremely busy. They communicated in English which was just a sweet bonus. The mulled wine was so nice, we arrived at a busy time and had a small wait outside and they offered us mulled wine during the wait which was so nice as well. I can’t say 5 stars cuts how nice it was 10 stars from us.

Good restaurant to taste Delicious home made pierogui, very nice and helpful staff. The soups are not the best but definately there is more options to choose from. They Don’t do reservations on weekend so you’ll have to wait in line, but it’s worth it.

The food are incredible 😋 yum The staff is pocker face🤣🤣🤣but it is fine, not rude I like the chocolate dumplings, can't say excellent but creative and balanced between taste and creative. Cold soup is good. Traditional dumplings are good. The ladies who making dumplings are beautiful 😍😍

  • 5/5 Jack W. 1 year ago on Google
At peak times the place requires quite a bit of a wait in a long queue usually forming by the entrance topped up with further 30-45mins wait for the pierogi's - DO NOT be disencouraged by this as they will be most likely the most delicious ones you'll ever get a chance to eat! And rest assured for vegan and vegetarian crowds the selection is far from basic and rather overwhelming at first with both standard and seasonal menu items, staff is also super friendly and helpful!!! A must try for foodies visiting Gdansk!

Amazing place to try one of the best iconic Polish dish “pierogi”. Huge variety of different types and styles which I didn’t knew existed. Place overall looks fancy and photogenic with lovely atmosphere. The only downside would be the queue to get there. Definitely recommend it!

Wow! What an awesome spot! There will likely be a bit of a wait when you get here, but for good reason! The food is delicious, the prices are CHEAP, the atmosphere is warm & inviting, & the service is great (with a bunch of cute & stylish young ladies on staff that speak great English & make you feel welcome). I ordered hot mulled wine, mazurskie (a flaky, deep fried dumpling filled with white sausage, mushroom & onion, & served with a horseradish sour cream dipping sauce…so tasty!), zurek (polish national soup, heh…a favorite of mine, tangy & satisfying- sour rye flour soup w/ 2 kinds of sausage, fried bacon, potatoes & a hint of horseradish for “kick”). I was STUFFED, & couldn’t even finish all my dumplings, & it came to like $13 USD w/ tip. There are a TON of different dumpling options here, & everything is made to order, fresh, so it might take a minute, but it is MORE than worth it. Do yourself a favor & eat at Mandu. Just be wary of weekends & peak hours, as this place is busy because it has truly EARNED it.
