Nice part of town, bars and restaurants are dotted along the pier. Some good food stalls too with reasonable prices for a tourist area. We visited the aquarium at the end of the pier and also took a cruise on the pirate ship. We had a lovely day. At the end of the pier are more restaurants and bars, all of which where fairly busy. Quick warning though, there is still a charge for parking, even on a Sunday. Which I haven't experienced anywhere else in Europe. Parking is charged from 8am untill 8pm. There is also no translation of days or times on any of the parking meters.
