Afternoon tea- served with plain salad, just cheese, coldslaw (just coldslaw), egg mayo, all the sandwiches had fallen apart so ended up putting them back together due to lack of butter. Small slice of flapjack & lemon cake, Scones I can recommend served warm just like the coffee warm but not hot. I love Afternoon teas just not at Patchings

Called in for Afternoon Tea with a friend. Received a cream tea after asking for Afternoon Tea for 2. Finally received sandwiches and cakes to go with our cream teas. Sandwich fillings were very poor (plain ham, egg and grated cheese which fell apart due to lack of butter on bread) and we were not asked if we had a preference to bread type. The cake portions were very different with a couple of really small bits and one large piece of carrot cake which was very dry. The scone was nice but the pot of 'squirty' cream was disappointing. No-one enquired if everything was OK, despite leaving a good proportion of it. Very disappointed with service and quality. A very poor Afternoon Tea for £14.95 per person.

RACISM!! This was so blatant this is the first time and hopefully last, I have to write something like this. Sat down near the counter in full view of the waitresses. Got menus ourselves and decided what to have within a few minutes. We weren’t greeted, nor welcomed, and got no service from the staff. At one point around the 10min mark of being ignored and seeing everyone else be seen too, I made eye contact with one waitress at the counter who said she’ll be just 1min, minute passed, nothing happened. She seemed genuine but 30 mins had now passed and within that time I had to watch (the other two waitresses) the 2 young waitresses -who I’m complaining against- do their best to ignore us, greet and seat everyone else and even serve/take orders of people who arrived AFTER us. Waitresses were casually walking to and from the kitchen, didn’t make any contact, didn’t even look in our direction. Eventually got attention of same lady who said “she’ll be 1min”- and genuinely seemed to be trying to run things- who said, “ Sorry, I thought one of the girls came over.” Now being the only minority in there and seeing everyone get served but you, when they watched you walk in and sit down in front of them, smacks of racism. First I sent an email to Patchings to give an opportunity to reply. And the lady advised they will talk to the staff and hoped we come back. The full reply was fair and she seemed concerned. But I don’t want anyone else to experience what I went through regardless of their race, religion, colour, creed, disability, etc. So felt compelled to bring this to light publicly or waitresses might think they’ll get away with doing this again. I must point out: the lady in the art supplies store is lovely, and so is the gift shop lady and the chap painting in the art studio. It’s just a shame the 2 young waitresses let this experience down. I will come back to the cafe and hopefully get treated fairly.

I've been to Patchings Art Centre many times, and they always have a fantastic collection of gifts and artwork items in the shop. Lots on offer and at good prices, ideal for gifts and presents. The restaurant and food is great, and the service is very good. Nice place to go for a bite to eat and browse some artwork in the gallery. Always clean and well kept grounds.

Staff very helpful and friendly. Lovely things in the gift shop. Art shop second hand books over priced. Cafe closed, exhibition poor. After all the magazine and online info I was quite disappointed when I eventually managed a visit.

Brilliant place, we had a terrific time, so much to see and do. The weather was very kind to us , there was also plenty of places to get refreshments , wonderful time had by all.

The annual art exhibition was great as usual. Lots of artists giving exhibitions, maybe not as many as before. Lots of things to buy at good prices. Did not eat.²

If you're into art, this is your place. Several artists & photographers on show and an excellent selection of 2nd hand art books. I didn't try the cafe.

Been here a year ago and prices seem to have gone up alot! £9.95 for jacket potatoes or paninis! Had a very basic veg lasagne with plain salad and two slices of garlic bread for £11.50. They forgot my tea so had to ask for this to be bought out. We sat outside so no table service, so had to fetch our menus and were not made aware of the specials as the specials board was not apparent being sat outside.

There is a really nice cafe that a group I attend go to once a month. I usually just have a snack, but occasionally stay for a full meal which is tasty and good value for money

Great local arts and crafts place in Nottinghamshire. Artists work on site and are happy to have a chat about what inspires them, talk about the the things they have designed etc.

Visited the Christmas craft fair today, what a disappointment,we visited the fair before covid and it was marvellous with lots of stalls dotted around but today wasn’t worth the trip, hardly any stalls, over priced and then to top it up we couldn’t dine in the cafe as it was fully booked.Won’t be going next year

We had tea/coffee and a snack in the restaurant, polite & friendly staff, glad to sit near the open fire on the cold morning. A lovely Craft shop adjacent, where we made several purchases. Will & do recommend.

Great to just pop in for coffee, or to spend longer. Walk the trails, visit galleries, enjoy the restaurant. Friendly, welcoming and wonderful.

An interesting art trail of copies of famous paintings in the open air makes a pleasant walk on a nice day. Good quality art and crafts for sale and friendly service.

A very artistic venue with person to person access to the artists. You may be lucky & catch TAS at the easel. Love this place. Lovely and tranquil apart from occasional road noise.

The veggie breakfast was fine. The only critical points were that part of it (beans) were luke warm not properly heated as you'd expect. And they need to enforce table service as their system if that is the method they are working by. There were people ordering at the till whilst someone was sat getting frustrated by no attention given. It was confusing. It needed table numbers. The staff came across a bit disorganised regards juggling everything and a trainee. Though they were nice and polite.

Brilliant day out for anybody interested in art. Plenty to see and do, well organised and some good bargains to be had (with a little bit of cheek). Fascinating watching the professional artists who where willing to give advice

A huge fantastic art festival. I cannot recommend it enough. Enjoy return visit each year. ( wooden gents toilet a bit primitive though)

For the first show after Covid it was excellent. It was lacking in painters i felt, as there seemed to be far more craft workers. However, the sun was shining and we had a lovely day.
