I ordered a large serve chicken bites which I have ordered from other locations numerous times. The bowl was tiny (see photo) when it arrived definitely not worth $27.90! I spoke to 2 wait staff immediately. The first one said it looked like a regular and took it back to the kitchen. It came back minutes later exactly the same. He said it's actually a large. At this point I called over the Manger and ask him. He literally said "that's definitely a large" and walked away before we had a chance to reply. To make things worse we then waited 40 minutes for our dessert which only got rushed out because we wanted a refund. The dessert was a cookie that was still frozen and no cutlery was given to us. Our plates were not cleared for 30 minutes. No one checked on us at any point during the experience despite the fact we were clearly unhappy and upset from the moment our food was served. I'm furious and utterly disappointed with the lack of service shown by Sporting Globe Staff. There was no apology at any point either. I will not be returning to any Sporting Glove Franchise moving forward. If I could rate it less than 1 star I would.

This Sporting Globe is the best in Victoria. They always provide quality service and yummy food and drink. This time they put on a free members event for the men's AO final, superb! Thanks to the staff, keep up the good work!!

I would like to connect with the owner of the Sporting Globe regarding the debacle of a night we just endured. From arriving and being told our birthday booking for 18 was cancelled, to being told they couldn't squeeze us in to then being told by some miracle we could be squeezed in to then being told about 20 minutes later that we only had 30 minutes to order and eat our meal (a mistake by the new staff member) - I have never been through so many emotions in my life!! All ended OK but some definite take aways for staff to improve how they deal with a situation like this which I would love to provide feedback on.

Had a good night out with my Nursing colleagues.. Food was good apart from the store bought waffle on the dessert platter.. Drinks were fine and the music was pumping except for some random creepy dude staring at me the whole time when I was with my Nursing colleagues...🤙🏽🤙🏽

Good Sports Bar with good service and food. I didn’t know this before coming as I was just passing through but they actually have decent specials on their website for half price Wings & Ribs or half price Steaks as well as other specials so check it out.

vegetarian (plant based) loaded fries are $30 wasted, unseasoned with no sauce and a small portion. Won’t be back anytime soon 😑. would rather spend $10 at maccas across the road

Had an engagement party on tonight. Jassandra (I have unfortunately forgotten her name - she is currently in an arm cast) was fantastic. Most of the time she was manning the bar all by herself even with her unfortunate arm injury. She was extremely kind and remembered each time who I was and our previous conversations. She definitely deserves recognition for the wonderful effort she put into tonight and making sure everyone was waited on in order and on time. 5 stars all for her and the event

My partner and I went for our date to TSG Geelong and we were so thrilled by the amazing food. The menu had a great options. Best place to eat vegetarian food too. We tried Plant based korean fried chicken burger, cauliflower popcorn, chicken parma, sweet potato fries with different with yummy mayo/aoli and Mocktails too. Mocktails were a little bit let down coz they were less of Mango or watermelon syrup and more of Sprite or lemonade, but how can I expect a good mocktail at a bar thats why they were fine. But other than that... friendly staff, great and fast service. Will definitely come here again and bring my kids too. Keep up the good work team TSG. P.s. Not a lot of parking closeby this restaurant. So be prepared to walk to reach here incase you don't find a spot anywhere close.

We had a group at the AFL Grand Final function. We payed for the drinks and food package . How ever the service was very ordinary considering how much we payed . This function area was full of patrons and a lot of the time there was only 1 person serving behind the bar . Very clever on behalf of management to slow down the service . At times you have a line up 10 deep and only wanting a drink that you payed good money for. When there was 2 serving it was still slow , like they were told too. One of them wasted more beer than he poured and you’d need a spoon to drink it . With the food tickets we were given there was no time for it to expire on it , that be the nibbles or meal voucher . Once again very clever , knowing that people drink and forget the food tickets . Why not have waiters bring the nibbles out for each table at a certain time or something, na that means they use all the food that we paid for . Your way of doing things , you save your food and keep the money . And as for the responsible serving of alcohol, you would think it would be in your best interest to have patrons eat food . Overall the atmosphere amongst the patrons was incredible, the service lacked everything. Would not recommend

I have been enjoying drinking and catching up with friends here on many occasions. However, our dinning experience tonight has let us down. All salad accompanied with the three parmas we ordered came with rotten greens thus not edible. The "loaded" Parma looked rather sad and they were very dry and tough, even we tried to cut it with a steak knife. The supposed "salsa" in the Parma described on the menu was not able to identify within the dish. My steak was cooked up to standard and enjoyable. The down side was the "sauteed" greens which had no seasoning and seemed to be boiled rather than sauteed. The garlic butter had no hint of garlic flavour. The fact that I had to pay extra to sub in for the greens and garlic butter does not give this dish any credits. Service was lack of attendance. To start with, we were taken to a uncleaned table. The wait staff attempted to wipe and sanitise the table for us but it was left greasy. After ordering, our meals came promptly but no cutleries nor serviettes were given to us until I asked. The only scores I would give go to the bar staff. They seem to be newly trained although we're doing the best to send out drinks and answered my queries. They paid attention to my feed back on the food and apologised. I understand many business are under pressure due to shortage of staff coming out of the pandemic. And we want to support our local business. However, our experience tonight has given us a clear red light to visit here again.

Extremely average experience and atmosphere. Service was quite poor and food for 4 people came out before drinks which was ordered at the same time. When we kindly asked about our jug of beer to the waitress, instead of her following up where they were, we were met with the excuse “there is only 3 of us on today”. I fully understand that staff are busy, but you expect a better level of service when paying an additional surcharge on a public holiday. Well done at least to the friendly chef who came out to see how the food was at the end, wanting feedback - my stars go to you!

Great sports bar with a great menu including cocktails. Food came out quickly & Tracey looked after us well with a big smile & great friendly humour. Will definitely return. Enjoyed our time here. 🌟

Typical sports bar. Staff was not as attentive. We waited to be seated but went ahead to grab our own table as no one attended to us. Grabbed our own menus too. Probably they are short staffed but the restaurant was not full at that time as it was almost 2pm. Food was okay. Good portion.

Food was fantastic, as always, easy to order either using the barcode or in person, the waiters were very accommodating for our allergies and other requirements. Atmosphere was very nice, lots going on around but it was never overbearing or too much, we were able to have good conversation across our 10 person table, share drinks, and have a good feed! I recommend the MVP Parmi with a beverage!

Yes the food has been great on our previous visits but today, your service sucked big time. I booked weeks ago for an inside table for an early family Christmas as I work on Christmas Day. I was told inside was booked at the time. I arrived to be told we had been put outside in the beer garden where 1. We were booked on 3 separate tables, and 2. There were stairs that my 86 year old father had to navigate with a walking frame and would need to go up and down the stairs every 20 minutes as he has prostate cancer and needs to use the bathroom regularly. Even though I stated, as I walked in, I had booked for inside, I was quite rudely told “inside is booked for UFC customers” Fortunately, Jokers pub down the road a short way, accommodated all of us with great food and excellent service. We won’t be back to The Sporting Globe. ( we did all say, they probably don’t care, they don’t need to be nice because people will still go. Well all 15 of us are out and so will everyone else we talk to be.

The atmosphere was great. However food was average. It tasted great, but when ordering calamari, you expect to eat calamari, and not maybe two pieces of calamari, and a whole lot of lettuce with it. Definitely a rip off. Bar service was OK, should be more staff though.

Went there for a Birthday dinner and the food was Amazing, I had the cheeseburger parmi for a main and the garlic bread as a starter. Was hands down the best parmi I’ve had in Geelong, also Staff had a great vibe and had amazing customer service. Also bar staff were also amazing shout out to Jordanna one of the many awesome bar staff there hands down one of the best pubs in Geelong

We were served by a lovely young lady Evereece who has given me the best service I have ever experienced at Sporting Globe. She was the most inviting and attentive waitress and I would love every visit to be as pleasant. The food was hot and fresh, drinks were crisp and cold. Overall 10/10 would recommend based on this visit alone. Please clone Evereece!

The pint I got served was very close to being flat so not the best start to parmi night My parmi was alright, but the wife's order was wrong so it got sent back. We got told it would come out shortly, and it never did. We gave the staff a pretty generous amount of time too, but it never came. We let the bar staff know, they refunded and were apologetic, but a pretty poor experience all around.

The service was really good, food came out quick for the kids and their meals were great . The drinks came out quickly as well. The adult meals came out quickly and everyone seem to enjoy them apart from myself. I had the all star platter and was looking forward to the buffalo wings as these in the past were easily best in Geelong. I don’t know what has changed but they weren’t great it seemed they had been cooked prior and then reheated as they were soggy as the sauce on them wasn’t fresh.. they had obviously been sauced way earlier and then reheated (i have done this at home and was exactly the same) Portuguese wings were so dry I could only eat 2 and the calamari I could almost snap it was that dry. Again I don’t know what has happened to the restaurant but the food quality has seemed to have dropped… it’s a shame as it’s a really good pub

Great Americana style food. Half price steak on a Tuesday is a winner. Most of the night we were taken care of by Tyler and he ensured everything was taken care of. Will be back again

Had the wrong dish sent out twice (a meat dish was served to a vegetarian who ordered veggie food). The staff claimed they would rectify the issue and never did. We waited well over an hour, our food NEVER arrived so we left to get food elsewhere. Very disappointing. Was originally over-charged for our food, although staff did rectify this issue once we raised our concerns with them. I've had great experiences with other sporting globe stores in the past, so it isnt an issue with the chain. I know they have good food, this was just a bad experience. This was my first time at Geelong Sporting Globe & I would not return to this location.

I booked a table for 12 for tea a week before the date required, when we arrived we were seated on four small round tables joined together that would have been impossible to eat 12 meals at..when we asked to change our tables we were told no twice then eventually moved to squeeze into tables for 10. We will not book for an event ever again due to poor seating management.

Nothing special. Food was better than expected but they sat us in a thoroughfare with a strong draft leaving us fairly cold for the entire meal. Service was provided at uncomfortably long intervals so we stayed longer than we needed to. Being this is one of the few joints with good chicken wings I'll probably go back but hopefully get better service next time.

Usually a go to place as we love the entrees and cocktails, and the staff are lovely. However, tonight the staff have been extra accommodating, friendly and helpful. I order the same thing every time, but tonight I went for the beef burger and it was exceptional, as was all the food and drinks. Keep up the great work guys!!!

TSG is our "go to" bar . Excellent food, excellent ambience and excellent staff. THE best in Geelong. P.S. All the vegetarian options are Must Try.. super delicious ❤️

Star review based on what this place is. A sports bar. Not fine dining. So everything was as expected. Loved the fresh greens in the salad but had to hunt for the other ingredients. A decent amount of food. Cocktail peach tea jug was great. Had to go searching for service but staff were very friendly and helpful. If I wanted a decent meal and drink watching sport it's a good choice

Was absolutely delicious!! Had the buffalo bites with blue cheese sauce! Brother in law had 1kg meat platter it looked delicious... highly recommended

If you're after exceptional service and great food, you need to get here and get into maddys section! Love the attentiveness and attention to detail. Maddy made us feel welcomed and wanting us to come back again!

I went in to watch a NHL game, as it was advertised on "What's On" through the website. It wasn't on and the staff weren't able to put any NHL games on, which was disappointing. So I'd advise anyone to call ahead if you plan on going to see a particular event. The time before, I ordered food, a beer and margarita. The food was nice but the beer took 30min to be brought to the table and the margarita wasn't even half full in the glass. It was literally two mouth fulls, definitely not worth the $$. It's a shame because the bar does have a good atmosphere, staff are approachable and the food is nice, but the lack of sport variety and drinks really bring the place down.

Went tonight to try the 1/2 priced steak night. The waitresses were really good. Got a table easily and ordered straight away. Ordered the ribeye with creamy garlic sauce. Initially thought it looked alright. After pouring the sauce on the steak found the tiny bit of salad. Chips were good, but there was more than enough of them on the plate, could've been less chips and more salad. If there was more salad it could've had more ingredients in the salad than what was there. The garlic sauce was nice and the steak was cooked right. But don't think it was the normal cut they must use as definitely not the best piece of steak .... even at the half price value paid for it. Seemed like it was a piece of steak cut thinner to save cost or a budget piece. Definitely had better quality and paid a fraction more than their half price. But at least can say been there and tried it now.

Went out with a large group of friends for dinner and drinks, ordered the special pulled pork burger for $25, now to be fair I presumed that removing everything but pulled pork and cheese would mean that I would get just pulled pork and cheese; and I didnt realise that you couldnt remove the sauce. When I explained to the waiter that I had removed everything else she told me that I couldnt on the app and that they could remake it for me, but I would have to pay for it. Of course, I wasnt going to spend another $25 dollars and wait another 30 minutes to get what I had wanted the first time around and due to dietry requirements I could not eat what they gave me, so I didnt end up eating a main and just had the mozzarella sticks (which are very good). Considering that I spent over 100 bucks on drinks that night I was a bit dissapointed.

Went here Friday to play some pool with 10 work mates to be told that they didn't wanna clean up after us because they had a function at 5:30..we arrived at 3.. Have always had nice food here but the way we were spoken to and to be turned away because they didn't want to clean up (we take our glasses back to the bar) was lazy and if I was the manager I wouldn't appreciate turning away business.

Went here for State of Origin and dinner. Took ages to be seated at a table. Had to go and collect my own menus. When food finally arrived had to ask the waitress for cutlery so we could eat. Food was ordinary at best. Venue then couldn't get sound to work on venue sound system so watched the pre game entertainment while listening to some documentary on a child killer. Gave up and went back to my hotel to watch the game there. Some time later the pork ribs made an unpleasant return resulting in a trip to the ED with food poisoning. Will not be back.

Staff were extremely slow. Waitress forgot that she had taken our order and mind you it was quiet. Took forever for drinks to come out and food was average. There was minimal chips compared to what other sporting globes put on your plate. The calamari and avo bowl literally had 6 pieces of calamari and was just full of lettuce leaves. Very disappointed

I ordered the 1kg meat board to share with a friend. More like 500g of chips 200g of bones and 200g of meat if your lucky. Ribs where's very average chicken wasn't bad. If your eating here I'd stick to a parmi

We had a quick meal before our movie. The food was lovely. Service was welcoming. Slight snafoo with the drinks, otherwise great experience.

I love love the vibe of the place - went with some folks the day after lockdown since usual place wasn't open yet and what a lovely sporting pub lol the seating with the sun in the back was great, hope F1 gets shown here too if the timing is right!!! would be amazing to watch with other fans lol had the nourish bowl and it was yummm will have to try the other vegan options <3 friendly service too :) Also it was a wed noon so was happily surprised that there was a half price off promo combo to be had haha great value Vegan burger is yummmm!! (Bottom one lol with french fries and the dip is also very 👌👌👌👌) Update: came back in a group and service was phenomenal+ delicious vegan Parma!!

What an awful experience. Dirty, loud, distracting screens everywhere. You have to order using an app on your phone. Toilets are filthy. Staff run off their feet so don't have time to be pleasant. Smell of cigarette smoke inside. My order of pan fried prawns had one where poo tube had not been removed. A hideous place. Conversation is impossible. I will never return.

After my first time here I gave an amazing glowing review of their "miracle" vegan burger. It looked and tasted so much like meat that I actually went to the kitchen and checked and was assured by them it was indeed vegan. I couldn't believe they made the meat and vegan cheese look and taste so real. My second visit I was excited to eat it again and I received a veggie burger like any other. Turns out the first one tasted like meat for a reason. Not sure if I received the first burger out of spite or if they don't like vegans/vegetarians as I did check with staff twice and told them my worries. They do have a very impressive vegan menu here but just be careful if you are thinking about eating here.
