We went on a dinner cruise with CGN on our last night in Geneva and encountered with a negative experience during our trip. To set the context, we are both Asian looking and in our 30s, which we felt could have contributed to our experience. Despite making a reservation for dinner and holding the First Class Swiss Travel Pass, we were asked several times if we belonged to the first class cabin and the servers (with the exception of one kind lady), largely ignored us for the entire night. Only the lady took our order, served us, cleared our plates and collected our bill, while our attempts to get the order servers' attention were largely ignored, even when we walked up to the counter. Never have we encountered such level of service during our trip in Switzerland so far, and we just felt embarrassed and out of place throughout the 3 hour journey. Despite the dinner cruise being marketed for tourists, we strongly encourage you to avoid it if you look Asian, young or do not fit in. The food and view were great though, and we enjoyed these aspects of the trip, but unfortunately our night was marred by how we were largely treated.

⛴ I did a trip with my wife and son to have dinner aboard ( famous filets de perches ) the weather was sunny. I booked tickets online and left on the next day at 18:10 from Quai du Mont blanc. The time past by very fast. We enjoyed thr trip. My kid moved around and saw the engine, which is quite impressive of the boat #Simplon built on 1915. The trip is really worth on the #geneva #lake. You may have an excellent view of the rive gauche and rive droite. The personnel was good. We got excellent attention from mr traineau that entertained in a very kind way our son while delivering the dishes and drinks. I cannot do this every month but i really enjoyed my wife and kid loved the experience. Recommended if you visit #geneva. ⛴ Note: visit on July 2020

You would think a quality based Swiss company operating boats on the lake for decades would not let this happen. Weather and conditions were excellent. No excuse CGN. Did the Geneva tour and I liked it. Nice views and the audio tour app is useful. Comparing the prices and options I believe that was a good choice because I wanted to see Genève from the lake. About the boat, it could have more seats on the top deck and be more comfortable.

Going on an hour-long cruise across Lake Geneva with CGN was arguably our favourite activity whilst we were there. We were at the front of the queue to board the boat (we arrived over 30 minutes before the cruise was set to take place - I would definitely recommend doing so) so we were able to select the best seats at the top deck of the boat. The views were breathtaking - we got an amazing glimpse of the mountains which were stunning! It was a little chilly but, to be honest, we weren’t really focused on the weather as the cruise was so enjoyable. I whole-heartedly recommend booking a cruise across Lake Geneva!

My husband and I enjoyed this lovely cruise aboard the beautifully restored Savoie 1914! We had first class tickets with their three course meal. The duck was delicious and the views were spectacular. Service was best in the restaurant on the main floor. This was the best part of Geneva for me. We were out on the boat all day and loved every minute of it.

The worst customer service encountered in my 68 years of life. The lunch on the lake cruise, they overlooked our reservation (186 chf for 2) No tables left so we were put in a room at the front of the ship. Booked the end of the year holiday meal cruise for me and my husband. Prepaid for two first class tickets and the three-course (plus amuse-bouche) meals. We were seated right away in a lovely area on the top part of the boat. Our order was taken promptly and then it was downhill from there. The table next to us got their food right away and ours and a few nearby didn’t get our food for two hours (the whole cruise is 2.5 hours). It appeared there were only two servers in our area. We checked in with both a couple times to see the status of our meal. One laughed at us and one kept telling us to go back to our seats. We had to go to them for everything except the initial order (i.e. to order more drinks, to ask about our food).
