My
family
and
I
had
a
wonderful
morning
on
the
Featherbed
reserve
with
our
guide,
Colin.
Starting
with
a
fresh
but
relaxing
boat
ride,
we
were
told
about
the
lagoon,
local
area
history,
and
origins
of
the
reserve.
Upon
arriving
at
the
beautiful
reserve,
we
had
a
short
break
and
quick
walk
up
to
the
vehicle,
before
being
taken
up
to
the
top
of
the
headland
to
glorious
views
of
East
Head,
the
lagoon
and
open
sea.
Next
was
a
downhill
walk
back
to
Featherbed
base,
with
a
stop
off
to
the
beautiful
sea
caves.
It's
a
stunning
walk.
You
get
up
close
and
personal
with
the
plants,
and
we
saw
some
beautiful
birds.
The
last
section
along
the
shore
is
particularly
stunning.
We
finished
back
at
the
restaurant
with
a
buffet
lunch,
which
was
excellent,
with
lots
of
choices.
After
lunch,
we
had
time
to
dip
our
toes
in
the
water
(very
chilly)
before
being
taken
back
to
base
by
the
boat.
After
a
few
very
active
days,
it
was
a
wonderful
relaxing
experience
in
a
beautiful
area.
Highly
recommended
for
all
ages
and
abilities.
Bring
layers
(cold
on
boat,
hot
on
walk).
Thanks
very
much!
