Willem is the manager at Shark shack and he was very helpful since the day we arrive here and until we left yesterday afternoon. Very good services and what was nice is that we had the place to our self during the day and only at 5 the other guest arrived. From : Naudene and Andrew Francis

Absolutely amazing place! Set the standard really high for a backpackers! Clean rooms, clean bathrooms, everything is neat and safe! Really impressed😁👍🏻 The owner and manager are super polite and helpful. Even spent an evening braaing and chatting to them👍🏻

Willem the manage is friendly and a peoples person. The atmosphere is homely and you feel at home away from home. Walking distance to beach, shops and restuarant. Thank you Willem enjoyed our stay.

Very poor in ALL aspects and hardly even worth the 1 star. I have waited two weeks before presenting my review because 1) I wanted to allow sufficient time for management to call and enquire as to why our multi night reservation ended after only one night and 2) to allow sufficient time to pass that my criticism could be shared without my past emotions being factored in. Needless to say management has NOT bothered to call and although still very aggravated about the experience, I am now at peace with what happened but would like to warn any other would-be visitors who actually would want some sleep. The establishment is surrounded by pubs which became particularly busy and noisy between 8pm and 3am. There is a communal braai facility positioned right at a bedroom window. All the braai smoke as well as the voices of any persons around the braai area is collected in the bedroom. The same bedroom has a leaking roof with ceiling paint pealing off and covering the bed. We were refused a refund and no suitable alternative accommodation was offered. In fact i found the manager quite uninterested in my complaints. We were forced to seak alternative accommodation in George. At no time prior to or during the booking process were we warned or notified of the night time shenanigans and activities of the immediate surrounds. Net result is sleep only possible after 3am.

Fantastic place! Everyone made me feel at home. The owner Willem is great and gave us a ride in his bakkie to the bus stop. Definitely a must stop if you're in Mossel Bay

It's way too expensive for what it is. Not clean, the tiny kitchen was always dirty with old equipments. The staff and their friends are using the living room and the small courtyard all the day and night so backpackers cannot use it. The TV is always extremely loud, even late at night. The hostel is between different noisy pubs opened 7/7. I cannot recommend this place ...

Very helpful Manager, Willem, ideally situated close to all amenities and conveniences. A bit pricey for a room with a bathroom which is pretty makeshift, I paid R700 a night for two. This accommodation is well suited to the younger backpacking crowd, who does not mind a vibrant almost noisy atmosphere. We used the room for sleeping, very comfy bed and were out all day Tv was not working, no view from the room, but had WiFi. Recommended for a quick overnight but do not expect much more from this backpacker type accommodation.

Willie the Manager was awesome Clean and fully equipped kitchen for Guest use... Affordable prices Near shops and Beach Rooms have own shower toilet and tv I enjoyed the stay there and highly recommend it

Nice atmosphere, inside and outside area. Really good coffee and very nice pancakes. Friendly staff
