Pros: Large supermarket. Well stocked. Reasonable prices. Friendly staff. Good location. Plenty of car parking. There are alot of nice stores beside the supermarket. Free public restrooms near the supermarket. Cons: cashiers are slow. Each cashier has his own queue (not like other supermarkets which has single queue for all casheirs).

So today as usual I went to PnP and as usual there is nobody at the deli to help and if there is somebody they are so reluctant to help you it makes you feel unwelcome. However, today I decided to complain about this as it is a recurring problem. My favorite response from the manager on duty was "hi shame man." Nice, really smooth. I just want to know was that response because I am a young adult and I'm not being taken seriously or is that just your normal response when someone complains about the service at the store you are suppose to manage and be proud of? Either way, we'll done on your customer service. 👌

I recently visited and it was... fine. The store had all the basics, but nothing particularly stood out to me. The aisles were a bit cramped and it was hard to navigate around other shoppers. The checkout process was average, nothing special there either. Overall, it was a decent grocery store, but I wouldn't go out of my way to shop there again.

The parking area is a probem! I was robbed on a rainyday by a woman, of my silver bracelet, on the 29th of June 2022, value +- R6000. Pretending to be a cargaurd. There are no cameras onto this parking area and nobody was really concerned about my problem. The shop itself is 98%. But the building managers are not really concerned about their customers. All they say is you must look after yourself once out on the parking lot.

I visited P n P George (Courtenay rd) today and responded to newspaper advert to look amongst other items for Black Friday Specials which are supposed to extend till Sun 27/11/22. Items like long life milk, prawns etc.were sold out. I was very dissapointed that hth granular & floater were at on shelf but back to full price.

The shop close at 18.00 according to the hours displayed outside. I got to the shop at 17.57, they locked the door before I can enter and laughed in my face telling me the shop closes at 17.45, according to lockdown regulations everyone, including the staff , must be out of the shop by 18.00. I asked for the manager, I actually saw him in the shop, the security told me he is far away (obviously to much if an effort to call him). They called a staff member, I told him I am not satisfied and will simply taking my monthly shopping somewhere else if this is their attitude. He just said sorry. Nowhere a time of 17.45 as a lockdown regulated closing time is displayed. To me, this is bad business.

I am not always able to find what I need, but glad to see gluten free offering is expanding. Would be nice to have more tills open especially during peak times like lunchtime & after work. Staff is generally very friendly and helpful.

Staff is arrogant, like most P&P stores thus reflecting there overall performance.......their share price is even aware of their performance.....pricing is totally ridiculous...yes should get rid of their BUYERS AND TOTAL STAFF......

I always come here to shop in peace. The security is always on point even at night time of you need to use the ATM. Pnp grocery store has a clothing section in-store with a fitting room. The parking is always available and there's a always clean and available toilet at the centre for free.

Convenient shop placement. Friendly staff. Open and inviting space. Better shopping experience than the Garden Route Mall Pick n Pay.

I generally like shopping at pick n pay. Have noticed though that pick n pay across from Hope church charges close to R60 more for a brand of dog pellets that you can buy at precap too.? Very strange. Bag is the same size, colour etc. Makes you wonder what else in the store is priced higher than the other branches. Good idea for anyone to shop around and compare prices first.

Bought a convection oven, which is faulty. I inquired about whether I am able to get a refund or exchange, after which I was told yes as the product was still under warranty. When I went in to get a refund a few days later, the staff told me that refunds/exchanges are only possible within 90 days! Senior staff not very customer-orientated! Makes customers feel like we are interrupting their work! Shocking service, Pick n Pay! And never enough cashiers at this shop! Always long lines!

The building is really old now and the roof is non existing on the inside- showing all the pipes of pick n pay. Other than that- it has a wonderful clothing range in this pick n pay and a great deli and bakery.

This Pick 'n Pay is big with a huge variety of products. I'm vegetarian and found some nice products which Checkers doesn't have. Place is clean and never been too busy. Highly recommended!

Convenientancy in a multiple of product to choose from. However my complaint is with the queuing and check out tills. Almost every time I go there, there is a issue with tills closing and shifts changing, nobody assist you at the cigarette counter and the express till are hardly ever operational.

Even with severe loadshedding, the shop is open and serving customers. The bakery section was filled with goodies and almost no wait in line. Thank you PnP George!

I must say this seems to be the worse managed pick and pay ive ever been to. Always only 2 till availablr for such a huge store. Its shocking. Staff unfriendly. Management seems to be of poor quality with this store

  • 3/5 Bernie S. 1 year ago on Google
I like this shop, the only frustration is there are never enough available tills. It is just before 5 (peak traffic) , loadshedding is starting in one hour, and there are only 2 tills available in the whole store. I am counting roughly 30 people standing in line. This is unacceptable

Overall a clean and well-stocked store with friendly staff. Enough parking. They tend to run out of items on special quickly as the store is a favourite in town.

  • 3/5 Bronwyn H. 6 years ago on Google
Good variety. Check out was very poor. A long queue with only 4 check out tills.

  • 1/5 sean g. 6 years ago on Google
Well usually my experience at this pick n' pay is decent. However after having to wait 15 minutes behind 4 customers because there are only 2 tills open made me very frustrated! Especially because I only had 3 items to pay for. Oh and I was not able to use the express to as it were occupied by nobody. I even made an enquiry to a passing manager whether 2 tellers were acceptable as the que grew longer. There seemed no point in rushing to address the wait of consumers.

  • 1/5 Eugene de V. 2 years ago on Google
They had a good working Queuing system and now a queue for each till. You hit the wrong one you wait. Supermarkets also no a bank teller and it is wasting my time. I prefer Checkers down the road as the have a system for baskets only, The parking is also a mess. The shortcut out is blocked off and you have to waste time and fuel to go around. Get a school kid to sort it out.

  • 1/5 Andrew B. 1 year ago on Google
they have decent stock of about everything you would need, though be warned the people that work at the tills are rude most of the time, as example if you ask for bags they will put the plastic bags on top of your groceries and not pack them at all, then just look at you with there phone in hand ready to record in case you say anything, has happened 3 times total so far with the most recent being yesterday where the lady put the plastic bags on top of my groceries and did not pack them at all after a few minutes she started packing them throwing my groceries into bags and definitely not handling them with care, that along with staff simply standing around on groups blocking the place you need to walk to buy things, not a joyful experience at all and would not recommend to anyone

I was well serve. Except for... stock that been advertise. But none in shop. Like the 1kg asorted biscuits

Wednesdays are definitely better than Mondays when all the shelfs are empty. Although again some of the stuff advertised as 'Specials' were not available as they claim they didn't receive stock

No fresh bread or rolls on display. No beef mince. Supervising staff floating in after 8 greeting workers as if they are celebrities on a game show. No staff on the floor to help.Everyone doing their own thing. This is a typical PnP store. The staff care more about their issues than assisting customers and making sure it is run like a business instead of a spaza hair salon. If they are not blocking the aisles gooing over cellphone postings they are discussing labour issues in groups all over the shop. Tellers chatting to everyone around them while ringing up your purchases. And not in English. You stand there not knowing if you are being discussed. Very, very unproffessional.

Always friendly and helpful. Minor criticisms are check-out queues are sometimes rather long (when too few tills working) and complicated promotions. But the latter point is the fault of Pick n Pay central management; when will supermarkets realise that people want to buy the quantity they want at the best price? NOT 'multiple buy' offers and cards with points!

  • 5/5 Brian T. 4 years ago on Google
Always have shelves full even at holiday time. Presently go early to avoid queues at the tills. Our favourite "go to" shop.

I was SO HAPPY to discover that I could pay my Telkom a/c at Pick n Pay.I had extra expenses due to ADSL line which was more than my automatic bank debit order would allow. Telkom cut my line when the extra charges were not paid.I phoned them in a panic and they said, "Go to Pick n Pay they can help." There I paid the extra amount, did my groceries, and by the time I got home my phone was working.Thank you for offering your customers such an amazing service!

Disappointing Experience with Pick a Pay ASAP Delivery Service I tried using the Pick a Pay ASAP Delivery Service, and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. At first, I encountered multiple issues with the app, as it seemed to be more offline than online. However, after struggling with it for a while, the app finally started working. Despite this improvement, I am still left extremely frustrated and disappointed as my order was never delivered. To make matters worse, it appears that the service is now closed. I find this unacceptable and it has left me with several concerns. Firstly, I am unsure whether I will receive a refund for my order since it was not delivered. Secondly, I am uncertain if there is any possibility of getting my order fulfilled at a later time, considering the current closure of the service. Lastly, I am curious to know if there is any compensation available for the inconvenience caused due to the failure to deliver my order on time. I strongly believe that a reliable delivery service should prioritize fulfilling orders and providing a seamless user experience. In this instance, however, I faced multiple setbacks and disappointment. I would appreciate clear communication from Pick a Pay ASAP regarding the steps they plan to take to address this issue, compensate customers, and improve their service in the future. Ultimately, I hope to see a swift resolution to this matter and receive the necessary assistance from Pick a Pay ASAP to rectify the situation.
