5/5 for everything!!!! Wow, what amazing service, beautiful room with so many lovely touches to make our stay comfortable.. we had everything we needed and more. Incredible views, lovely breakfast. Would not hesitate to recommend. Herman and his wife are so kind, offering tips and when we accidently took our room key onto our safari they were so understanding and offered to come and pick it up! Nothing was too much. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!

Herman and his partner offered wonderful personalised service and this guesthouse. Rooms spacious and comfy with amazing views. Breakfast is also nice. Location does require driving to and from but still ideally located.

Words cannot describe who wonderful this place was .. We would throw away our passports and never leave if that were possible. The host was fantastic. This is the first place we have ever stayed where we felt it a privilege to be in. Stunning house, stunning views .. thank you … can’t wait to come back

By far the best accommodation we had on our Garden Route tour. We were therefore happy to extend our stay by another day. The furnishings are very well thought out, attractive and not run down. The rooms are very clean and tidy and have air conditioning. The breakfast is very good and the scrambled eggs are probably the best in Africa ;) (I recommend the avo toast with scrambled eggs) Herman is an outstanding host! He takes great care, explains everything and is happy to help with travel planning. We'll definitely be back. 5 stars from us and an extra one for Herman :) See you soon!

We were taking the family on a week long garden route trip and decided to spend a night at the Lookout Guest House in Mossel Bay. What a View!!! We had an easy time finding the location and we were greeted by Herman in the secure parking area. After a quick tour of the house, which included a public lounge and pool table area, we dropped our bags in our rooms and headed to the back deck area to take in the view. The rooms were very clean and modern with everything you could need for a nights stay. The next morning we had one of the most amazing breakfasts outside on the back deck overlooking Mossel Bay. As with most of our stops this week along the garden route we wished we could have spent more time in Mossel Bay but we had to make our way on to Cape Town. We would absolutely visit the Lookout Guest House again and would suggest it to our friends. Thanks again Herman and Elzanne for the great hospitality!

We had a wonderful night at The Lookout Guest House while on our journey along the beautiful Garden Route. Our room was clean and the view of the water was spectacular. The Lookout offered a delicious breakfast in the morning. The hosts went above and beyond what we expected as guests. They booked dinner reservations for us and gave us information about what to do during our visit. We had a minor car accident during our visit to Mossel Bay and the hosts reached out to our rental car company and secured a new vehicle for us. What was an extremely stressful moment as foreign tourists was made much easier with their help. My wife and I would highly recommend this place if you’re visiting Mossel Bay.

What a friendly house and hosts Herman, Elzanne, Joey and Bella, supporting our family with an emergency stay-over. Endless views from dawn till dusk with charming harbour lights setting the scene while being entertained on the deck. Thank you for your support.

The guesthouse located in a great area in town and got the most beautiful view ! Great renovated house ,fun and beautiful public spaces to chill, and awesome big deck for breakfast. Elzana and Herman are perfect hosts and very friendly. Highly recommended!

Absolutely loved my stay. The entire space was spotlessly clean and refreshing. Every consideration was given to amenities in this difficult COVID time. The views are to die for! Elzanne and Herman are incredible hosts and go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable. This is what I imagined Service Excellence to look and feel like!

Fantastic location and hospitality! We were warmly welcomed, got all kinds of ideas for restaurants and activities, Breakfast was awesome, and so was Joey, the friendliest of dogs

What a wonderfulnplace to stay. Most rooms are spacious and have a wonderful view on the ocean. There is one very small room which I stayed in which was ok for one person. The stoep is unique with Mosselbaai at your feet. Great service wonderful people. Great breakfast. Top location. Will definitely go there again with clients when I'm in the area.
