The park has plenty of parking, a playground for the youngsters, and ball fields for the ones a little older. There are public restrooms and the San Gabriel River where you can watch the ducks and geese or fish. This park is along the Randy Morrow Trail. The trail extends about 4.5 to 5 miles to the Georgetown Lake Dam. You can then continue on past there. On the trail, there are picnic areas, exercise equipment, and disc golf. It is mostly sidewalks until you get closer to the dam. Bicycles and pets are welcome. So get outside and breathe, and it can all start at the San Gabriel Park.

San Gabriel Park is a picturesque 180-acre haven, nestled along Morrow Street, offering a delightful blend of rural tranquility and recreational amenities. The park's proximity to the dammed San Gabriel River transforms it into a vital watershed, attracting a diverse array of birdlife and fish, making it a nature lover's paradise. The park provides an extensive range of facilities for families and outdoor enthusiasts. Various playground areas ensure children have a fantastic time, while BBQ pits and tables offer a perfect setting for picnics and gatherings. Families can relish quality time surrounded by lush greenery and serene river views. The presence of these facilities makes it a welcoming spot for community events and gatherings. For those who enjoy active pursuits, the Randy Morrow trail is a highlight. This scenic trail, suitable for hiking and biking, weaves through the park, providing an opportunity to explore the natural beauty of the San Gabriel River. Whether you're looking for a quiet escape into nature, a day of family fun, or an active adventure, San Gabriel Park caters to all, making it an exceptional destination in the heart of Texas.

The park is so beautiful especially this time of year when the river isn't dry. There are plenty of areas for kids to play, walking/running/bike trails, bathroom facilities throughout and just overall very well kept.

The San Gabriel River Park is includes 180-acre of rural park grounds and sports fields along Morrow Street. The park also runs alongside the dammed up San Gabriel River which creates a nice watershed for birds and fish. You'll also find expected range of playground areas, BBQ pits and tables for visitors to enjoy meals as well as a designated hiking and biking trail. In the past the river was mostly clear of vegetation but that was not the case during my recent visit. These days, there is quite a bit of vegetation building up, especially around the dam. Overall, a good little city park that is very useful for members of the Georgetown community.

Great fireworks and vendors....need more traffic officers to let emergency vehicles though. Parking was the reason they only received 3 stars....the Park itself was beautiful with all the Shady oak trees. Great place for dogs and children. Good bathrooms.

Really beautiful park, one of my favorites here in Georgetown. They have three different jungle gyms for kids and plenty of nice outdoor tables.

Among the best park and trail systems in the country. We bike to this park frequently from our house which is about 5 miles away. This park is like a collection of parks one right after the other.

Great park for all ages. Beautiful trees and multiple play structures to choose from. Paved walking paths and trails for your enjoyment as well.
