Great range of foods, served hot and ready to eat. Friendly staff and plenty of seating.

Disappointing. The thick shake was not thick nor was it a shake, nor was it chocolatey! Certainly not worth $7.50. How challenging is it to heat & toast a pre-made sandwich? Well, it seems it is not possible here and so you get both cold! Skip this place, I am sorry to say. Incidentally, there is a bee hive that is fab and worth a look with live bees that enter/exit via pipe going through the ceiling. Suggest checking beehive out and then going to Subway!

Why 5 stars? Well just my opinion on this place, to me a old fashioned milk bar and great range of good old fashion fresh food at just about old prices. Things like fresh pies and filled rolls and sandwiches, but your fancy stuff if thats what you want. Lots of room for bigger crowds and all wrapped up in a modern fresh clean facility and quick service. So 5 stars from me and a first highest score from me and why I bothered taking photos. See you next time I am in Geraldine.

Atmosphere was great, staff were lovely and got our dogs some water. But sadly the coffee was burnt 🤮 and the mince pie was too salty. The pastry was lovely.

The only coffee shop we found open 7am Saturday. Quite a good choice of pies/slices/muffins and great coffee. Lots of seats including outside seating. Very friendly staff and cozy atmosphere. Especially recommend checking outside wall with plenty of pin-art pictures 🤩

Great service and staff. Food is not great. Very plain and ordinary. Berry French toast had berry compote spread through toast making toast soggy and sloppy. Bacon was only just average, poached egg was over cooked. Prices were high for the standard of food recieved.

Enjoy coming here when travelling south. Staff are lovely and helpful. Good range of good food. Dog travelling with us so we sat at outdoor table

Nice selection of pies. The butter chicken pie was tasty. Liked how you could sit inside but the windows to the outside fully opened.

Busy place with lots of bus tours dropping in. Recommend the Eggs Benedict and crispy bacon with English breakfast tea

Sorry, don't like all the negativity floating around these days but just gotta say we called in for takeaway lunch and coffee today...chicken pie (Mays) was mainly thickened filling with 2 only tiny pieces of chicken, the "toasted" sandwich was less than toasted and put in the bag whole (uncut and hard to deal with) and the coffees have increased in price but gone way down in volume...not really satisfied with our $30+ lunch I'm sorry to say.

Filled rolls are stale, sausage rolls dry and taste weird, prices through the roof!!! Will never stop here again. A hand full of hot chips $5.50, total rip off as is everything else. You've been warned.

$27.10 for bacon & eggs with a decaf americano - outrageous pricing, apparently scrambled eggs are extra. The scrambled eggs were watery and tasteless. They also must have run out of coffee as my coffee looked like dishwater. My advice is find somewhere else to eat

Not the best muffins we had so far in NZ but not bad either. We took the Banana-Choc (very good) and the Raspberry-White-Choc (average) to go, 5$ each.

We were working down there and they opened early so we could have a cooked big breakfast to start the day.much appreciated. Food was awesome

Great food, pies and coffee. 2 girls tried really hard to provide good service. Place very clean and well laid out with plenty of room. Good value and great place for morning tea or lunch etc.

Whilst working in the area we had early breakfast here every day. Great service, great food and the best coffee I had in my entire trip. Thanks to Hillary and her hardworking team. Highly recommended.

Delicious food and friendly staff. The apricot and hazelnut slice is yummy and the mini slice selection is excellent for an on the road snack
