Unexpectedly amazing. The waterfall is beautiful, but if you hike further, you'll discover an astonishing wild and lonely rocky mountain range. You'll be alone thinking on granite peak es, creeks and forests.

Pretty water fall. Easy enough walk to it. We parked where the road ended and the dirt road started. You can hike down to the base and swim if you want. Lots of water pools on the way up to sit in the water. Also a hike up to a view point by the parking area.

This is a great lagoon. A little difficult to access for the not so able, but suitable for children. There's a combination of three pools, one at the water fall and two leading up to the water fall. There's also around three other pools above the water fall for those willing to climb. It's a stunningly beautiful place and you can drive almost right up to it. With a short 5 minute walk across stones and boulders. There's also small bathing pools at the bridge for children and elderly which are easier to access without walking. Recommended stunning and beautiful !

Great little waterfall. Relatively easy hike up to the waterfall. Water is very cold in October but it was sunny day and conditions were perfect

A beautiful place. When we visited (a sunny day in October) it was very crowded. Because of the extended warm season, there was not a whole lot of water going down. Will definitely visit again during spring-time!

Great place! There are roads that take you almost completely to the falls (by car or bike). A small hike with some big stairs from parking to the falls is completely doable for a child. Others, can hike as far as they want. We followed trails that go up the river for about an hour. There are a series of little pools worth finding and relaxing by.

It is a great little waterfall with small and shallow natural pools all over the place. It is a great spot to relax after a long and exhausting hike through the park.

Beautiful waterfall, there are even prettier waterfalls in the park but this one is very easy to get to. The road is a little bumpy. During peak times parking can be a little challenging, but we got there early and parking was no problem.

A good hike to this beautiful granite rock face waterfall. You can hike ( reasonably hard ). There is a hike path, that is labeled but I could work it out so I used the road. The other option is to drive to the waterfall. The time you save can be spent swimming in one of the many small pools ( that requires a bit of careful minor rock walk). Now I did not read up prior to the hike else I would have driven up and enjoyed the nature swim. But the hike was good for my body and soul so it was not in vain. I am happy my body is in good shape😜 I added some pictures of the mushrooms that I found along the way. I am certain there are some edible mushrooms out there but my knowledge stops with Chanterelles only. One picture shows the village where I started the walk, so you know how much is the climb. That picture is midway the climb. Coming down was easy, I ran some of the sections. All in all it took my 4.15 hours with a 10 to 15 mins on the top. But expect a longer duration if you are not a hiker.

The Arado Waterfall is very beautiful but I strongly advise to do the 1km trip next to the river bank. Leave the car next to the roundabout and go by foot through the road. On your way back, go through forest near the river... you will love it!

It's amazing. Gerês is one the most beautiful places I've ever been: it has many whater falls, beautiful rivers and streams, but some are a bit tricky or dangerous to get to, which isn't the case of Cascata do Arado. It's quite safe and easy to get there (no wonder why it's so popular). Just make sure you go with the appropriate shoes (not flipflops or bare feet, because it gets very slippery) and take whater a light meal with you, so you can enjoy yourself at the most.

Park at the start of the dirt road and it's a nice walk to the falls with views of the valley and stream on the way. There are picnic benches under the trees for lunch on the way back. Very nice place to visit, you can park at the beginning of the dirt road and go by foot (10mn walk) but feel free to take your car/van closer to the waterfall since the dirt road is ok to drive and you have a lot of spaces to park your car or even bigger vans; the place people take bath in this waterfall requires you to go through an unmarked trail and basically go trough the river up to the bottom of the waterfall, since the official visit leads you to the top of the waterfall

Simply amazing, I have travelled to a lot of places and this is one of the most beautiful things i ever experienced, definitely meaningful to go with your partner or best friends, it is beautiful, but be prepared for a very hard walk (on rocks) to get there

Beautiful place! Easy to get there but now (Aug 25) there was not much water in the waterfall and the pool.

Go through a parking area, all the way down and try to park closer to the bridge - or after the bridge, there’s another parking spot. Recommend to go up not through the stairs, but through the river, jumping the rocks. You’ll see a the cascade at the end of the river, but in case you’re more adventurous, climb the rock on the left - you’ll find a hidden nice pool.

Really beautiful but crowded at normal hours. If you really want to appreciate it, go early. The for the most of waterfalls and lagoons in the region.

Got there around midday, wasn’t too busy and found parking near by. As we were leaving it stated to get much more crowded. Water is lovely and refreshing to swim in - worth a visit!

Beautiful from the viewpoint and the bottom of the waterfall! Can't really swim in it but you can enjoy the sound of it ! Careful if you go down, there's is no path or stairs, it's off road but if you risk it you can enjoy from the bottom !

Great hike and beautiful views of the park. Unfortunately, the river was dry when I got there so there were no falls to see. The surrounding area was still worth the hike though.
