This is a must visit place if you are in Stuttgart. Both the exterior and interior are stunning. The fact that it is a public library makes it even more amazing. The place opens at 9am and the quietness of the entire space makes it feels so surreal.

One of the most beautiful library I’ve been. Like the structure and clean white color, and the design of stairs are also attractive. We just use the lift to the top floors and go downstairs floor by floor.

Beautifully designed with super white color all around. The first look is very soothing to your eyes from the top floor. You also will get a good city view from the roof. I could see more tourist than the reader in the library 😀. And one of the best part is you will have a good food option at exactly to the opposite of this library and a big Milaneo mall for shopping as well. A good day outing place with family.

Folks, no free WiFi! Looks nice and so on, maybe you can take a nice insta pic. But unfortunately if you are looking for a place to study with your laptop this is the wrong place. How is it possible that in a building like this there is no free WiFi?! Also places to study are very limited and a few desk don’t even have a charger. Very disappointing, waste of time going there…

Excellent indoor architecture. I enjoyed the day here. Hard to choose the right angle for the photoshooting because the interior is wonderful from each view. Let’s me feel like in a hospital for all of the books for the clear, bright white color everywhere 🤩

One of the best public library in Germany. Situated in the Europaviertel this building is one of its kind. The entry to the library is free and can be visited during the normal opening times.

thanks to its ingenious architecture this place feels much more than a typical library and can easily put claim on the title 'temple of books'. the cubic hall in the middle of the ground floor is so soothing that it dissolves any sense of self for a few moments, if you look up and around and let the white open space take you in. and this was just about the ground floor and no bookshelves yet! it keeps its serenity and calm on the upper floors where the books are shelved, which you enter after having calmed, or if you like cleansed, your mind in that central hall of the ground floor. I'm grateful for the experience!

Finally got to visit the famous Stuttgart library, came across the pictures couple of years back on Instagram before even coming to Germany and fell in love with it. It's definitely even more beautiful than how I imagined it to be. Paradise for book lovers. Worth visiting :)

The Stadtbibliothek Stuttgart is a masterpiece of architecture that seamlessly blends modernity with functionality. 🏢📚 From the moment you approach the building, you can't help but be captivated by its striking and innovative design. One of the standout features is the whimsical, all-white interior, which adds an element of playfulness to the overall design. The open staircases and reading areas are not only aesthetically pleasing but also functional and conducive to concentration and relaxation. The Stadtbibliothek Stuttgart isn't just a library; it's a work of art in itself. It's a place where the love of books and architecture converge, and it's a must-visit for anyone who appreciates stunning design.

A heaven of Books as we called it. A great atmosphere and mind blowing amount of Books about everything! Sadly we didn't have a chance to stay there long enough but I wonder if it's comfortable to stay there for a read since it's always full of tourists like me.

This is really cool place for bookworms like me, and I would love to spend whole days here often, but; The city library in a city that is full of foreign students should have instructions and information in English too. I was expecting to have an adequate collection in English too, but there wasn’t. Hope to have a better experience in future.

Beautiful architecture. Cooler to visit if you know a little background of the building. Certain coolness knowing that it's a perfect cube, each corner is facing a compass point, and that "library" is written in 4 different languages on each corner of the building, depending on where it's facing. Book selection is quite large as well, though we didn't have enough time to peruse. Wanted to get some coffee upstairs, but the cafe was closed. Rooftop was pretty cool, though it's pretty empty up there and noisy with teenagers when we went up so we didn't stay long. Nice to view the whole city. One caveat is that it was really stuffy inside, despite being cool outside, on a mid-May spring day. The perfect cube is filled with bookshelves, not windows, and the AC wasn't on. Of the 3 elevators, 1 was out of order and 1 only serviced certain floors, so the wait to go down was very long. Even if you took the stair down (which you have to walk quite a bit to do, since you have to keep walking the perimeter of the cube), it only goes as far as floor 3 or something like that, and you have to get on the elevator.

Amazing architecture here that has transformed the space of a library into a wonderful sight. Seeing white backgrounds lined with multi-coloured books made for interesting perspective amidst the wide open space. Nice views from the rooftop too!

Stadtbibliothek Stuttgart (Stuttgart City Library) is regarded ss the most beautiful library in the world. Everyone can use the library whether you are a member or not.The exterior look may not be everyone's cup of tea, but when you stand inside the building, you would feel like being an exhibit in a gallery. I've never seen such a big collection of sheet music books in an ordinary library. There is even a music studio. I was charging my phone while having a nap in the pod. Don't forget to visit the foodcourt inside Milano shopping centre which is opposite to the library.

Probably the prettiest library I've ever been to, you just need to see the pictures because words won't make it justice. Besides the architecture and the vast array of books, films and paintings, I have to remark the fact that they let you play music, whether it's the guitar, bass, drums or keyboard. For the latter you need the library card, but it costs 4€/mo. or 20€/year, which makes it worthwhile even if you are a tourist!

The most beautiful and modern library I've ever been to. Very spacious. The external facade looks very cold and with the windows it reminds on prison cells. But interior is magneficent.

Looking down from the 8th floor of the library you can find a very nice place. There are also very many study seats in the library with computers to use.

This is Germany’s most stunning public library. It is just beautiful. And it is all about cubic white shapes and a light that fills the space. Something really not to miss when in Stuttgart. The admission is free and there are multiple entrances. The rooftop terrace could be nice with good weather yet is not the best part. The upper four floors form a very touching scenery where being in the present moment just becomes as important as going to a library more often. This is a magical place. Not to miss.

Beautiful architecture and great heaven for bookworms We could spend atleast a day going through every section with translated copies too! It is definitely an eye candy for people who likes to click some good pics without disturbing others It’s kind of instagram place Recommendation to go early for some varied collection of books to borrow if you have a pass It also has some amazing rooftops and study room with audio and video kind

I have to strongly disagree with the raving reviews regarding the architecture. Huge, sterile, oppressive, hardly a window, meager workspaces, really feels like a prison.

Inspired by the beautiful interior seen before, I visited the library and honestly enjoyed the magnificent sights of the perfect lines inside the library. I had also have a chance to go to the rooftop for city view, but because it is situated not at the city central, nothing much to be seen.

Very beautiful library, it has a radically modern design and a lot of interesting reading spots. Perfect for quiet study and contemplating. A must visit destination in Stuttgart!

One of the best library visited. Beautiful architecture and simple stair design. The entry to the library is free. You need to show a 24hrs antigen test results and to fill-up form to enter the library.

This is one of the nicest libraries I have ever visited in my life. The design is awesome. Learn the layout before going to far up the stairs... it's easier to use the elevator. Must show vaccination at door to enter right now.
