Good service and attention to detail. Standard Indian menu items. Restaurant filled during our time there at dinner. Service maintained attentiveness. Fried goat cheese appetizer and chicken masala were both pretty good. Will return again to try other items on the menu.

At first glance a very touristy place but the food (burger) was really good. In particular the beef patty. Of course, there are also some local food options on the (comparatively) small menu. Service professional without any personal touch. Location on the pedestrian street.

An excellent Indian restaurant in Garmisch. Both the atmosphere, the food and the service were very well. Some flies were annoying within the restaurant, which might be due to the weather at that day. The prices were fair and the restaurant not too crowded.

What sets this place apart is its unique offering of both traditional Bavarian cuisine and exotic Indian and Mongolian options. This variety was particularly appealing to our large group, as it allowed everyone to choose their preferred cuisine without compromise. We were initially uncertain about how well the restaurant could manage such a diverse menu, particularly with the authenticity of the Indian and Mongolian dishes. However, our doubts were dispelled. Each dish was crafted with fair care, maintaining a good standard across all cuisines. The flavors were genuine, and each meal was a delightful experience. The ambiance of the restaurant also enhanced our dining experience. Comfortable seating and a spacious arrangement, overlooking the main pedestrian thoroughfare, provided a tranquil and open atmosphere that complemented our meal perfectly.

Fabulous kebabs. Meat was soft and juicy with nice smoky flavour. The curry was tasty. Large portions. Service was friendly. Highly Recommended.

Good taste restaurant with Halal food The reservation issue doesn't make any sense we sat and ate for like an hour and there were still like 5 empty tables!!! Price is very high Our bill were 89€ !! And they accept only cash

Location is everything here. It location on the western side of the pedestrian area gives it an excellent position for outdoor seating. The menu is sparse, but they have the items that tourists will enjoy. They also have an extensive wine list. English listings are in the back section. My food was cooked well and was tasty. Beers on tap are Hofbräuhaus brand with prices ranging from €3,50 to €4,90. Bottle beer is a larger section. Service is slow, but that's the European way. Give yourself time (good advise for any German restaurant). My waiter spoke very little English, but we were able to get the orders completed using my sparse German and his sparse English. The views and central location are what make this an excellent option. Overall, an average restaurant with a great location

Hot, hearty meals and friendly service at a reasonable price. I had the rib eye burger and was able to swap out the sweet fries for normal fries. My wife had pork knuckle with potatoe dumplings and sauerkraut, which was good and hot. Nice meals.

The food at this restaurant is delicious and well-prepared, but the hospitality and service could use some improvement. During my visit, the service felt a bit unorganized, and the overall atmosphere was somewhat uncomfortable. Some staff interactions came across as less welcoming than expected, and small service details—such as providing utensils with certain dishes—were overlooked. The seating policy was strict and the elderly woman was rude. A more flexible and friendly approach would make guests feel more comfortable. Overall, this place has good food, but improving staff communication and customer care would greatly enhance the dining experience.

Had the tamarinde-kardimum tea, chicken curry Vietnam, and the garlic naan. Prices were not terrible. Taste was excellent. Service was not bad at all. There was a lot of variation in the menu so I could easily keep coming back for different tastes and dishes.

Beware! This is not the Alpenhof! The original Alpenhof was a really good restaurant that served local cuisine, but this is a low quality weird fusion restaurant. Our orders were very disappointing and we strongly believe the meats were not fresh. The lamb curry is worse than Asian take away but they charge 3 times the price. The service was chaotic, when we want to pay by card, the waitress said cash is better for her, we insisted in paying with card but it took some arguing. We were informed that curry isn’t spicy, turned out it was. The food is so bad even we are not particularly picky eaters, we were shock. Never again.

The food was absolutely delicious—truly among the best Indian cuisine you can find in the Garmisch area. I didn’t notice any halal sign specifically, but they do have an Arabic menu and a great variety of chicken and lamb dishes. We ordered chicken biryani, lamb makbous, butter chicken, chicken masala, and tandoori. Every single dish was excellent and full of flavor. Unfortunately, I didn’t take any photos of the food, but it was all really well-prepared and tasty. I had heard people say the service was slow or poor, but in our experience it was the opposite: the staff served us very quickly and treated us wonderfully. Overall, I strongly advise visiting Akram’s Alpenhof if you’re craving great Indian food in Garmisch!

Disappointing restaurant, the waiters' behavior was unprofessional, it was a huge mess, the order was very late, the place inside was hot, and there was an elderly employee who was disrespectful, sharp-tongued, and very racist. I wanted some ice but she said there was none, it's finished. Instead, they brought it to the table next to me, and when I asked for napkins, she said this is not the place for you to order?!!!!! I was very upset with the treatment, service, presentation, and everything. Of course, I will not return to this restaurant, and I hope that the employee is held accountable and the staff is trained professionally and taught how to respect the customer. We pay an amount and we did not come for free

Lovely restaurant in the town centre with proper Bavarian food. I came here 3 times while I stayed in Garmisch and had the goulash, wienerschnitzel kalbsrücken, and pork knuckle - all very delicious! The service was quick and friendly, and the prices were reasonable for the location.

Extremely disappointed with the service. We waited over an hour for our food, and to make things worse, they served multiple tables who arrived after us before even acknowledging our order. When the food finally came, it was the wrong order! No apology, no urgency to fix it — just careless service all around. The food itself was average and definitely not worth the wait or the frustration. Would not recommend this place to anyone who values their time or basic customer service.

I'm pleased to review this restaurant as halal in Garmisch. We has Deer curry which was very delicious and on top of that staff members' behaviour and service made it more enjoyable. Would like to visit this place again
