Would never book a single-person room here again. The bed is very short and narrow, making for a very uncomfortable night if you're anything but tiny. Breakfast was ok though.

Are you Swiss? Then you probably find yourself here with other people from Switzerland around you. Sorry to say this, but good value for the owners.

The personal are noth good, dislike

I used to come here a few times a year over many years. The owners were nice warm, just perfect. Rooms from good to very good. HOWEVER, there has been a change. The new manager, a women mainly bussy placing words on paper around the hotel brought an imbalance to my favorite Hotel in the Schwarzwald. The kitchen, still wonderful and run by the son, is great. HOWEVER, little things changed. From breakfast wide viorety is sometimes nothing to see half an hour before finished. In short and in my opinion. If l look for a Hotel that is JUST managed and missing its warm heart, l can stay in any big city. The Black forest is different and thats why l used to go there and to Nägel's. There was always an open ear and help was never far. The reception had nice local staff and it was nice to meet them when entering. Well, adieu my Nägele until things are back to the way as l loved them to be.
