We decided to give this place a go based on a recommendation from a friend. I can't say a huge amount about it except the food is very normal and the prices are quite high as far as Madrid goes. We ordered lamb shank (which wasn't bad), steak cooked improperly (twice), octopus (pulpo a la gallega) - very well cooked but way too much salt and a few other dishes (nothing to write home about). Service was fine. The wine list was very good and decor is interesting but the pictures of bulls being stabbed by cowards in tight shiny pants and bulls heads on the wall watching you eat a distant relative are very off putting. The reason I am giving this place such a low rating was the expectations were high, the food was mediocre and the prices were not at all fitting of Madrid or the quality. The only reason I didn't pick one star was because the wine we ordered was excellent but being a Protos and at €20 a clavelin it was expected.

One of my favourite places for beer and tapas. Not such a fan of bull fighting but the place is amazing and a must visit!
