I stayed at this hotel during my trip to Singapore and had a great experience. Although the room was small, it was very comfortable and had everything I needed. The hotem is located in a great area with plenty of restaurants and buses around, making it easy to explore the city. Getting a Grab ride was also very convenient.

    - Room is compact for people who will use it just for sleeping. - It’s quiet and we slept well. - The bed is hard so might not be comfortable for longer stays. -Clean and hygienic. - Unlimited drinking water and kettle available to make coffee. - 24/7 Hot water - Ventilation is scarce and did not have a wardrobe in the room. - difficult to even open two suitcase in the room - tissues available in the room - toilet does not have jet for your butt 😂 - staff was friendly and helpful - AC can be little loud if you don’t Know how to set it to low fan

It is a nice hotel to stay as it is located in a quiet lane but very close to the main road. The rooms are very basic but well maintained. The toilet is clean but did not have a lock. It has lots of Indian restaurants nearby and also has a orange juice and soft drinks vending machine near it's entrance.

This hotel is a convenient option especially if you're attending a concert at the Singapore Indoor Stadium! The stadium is five minutes away by car and half an hour away on foot. It's also a five-minute walk from a bus stop, and there are lots of restaurants and a 7-11 in the area. The room and bathroom are small but clean. Make sure to bring your own toothbrush and toiletries!

Looking to stay at this hotel? Don't. *Please note that this hotel isn't in the best of areas in Singapore, there is a red light district nearby and all the sight seeing activities are much further away* Reception team arent very helpful nor very welcoming. This is a budget hotel, but that doesn't mean service has to be at the bottom of the list. Rooms arent what they look like in photos, windows don't open nor are very big. Be prepared to hear a lot of outside noise especially around the hallways the receptionist kindly gave us the room straight outside the elevator so there was even more noise so you can hear the elevators in operation. The bathrooms are interesting, seems that the drainage is connected throughout the whole building so whenever a person in the above room or closeby residing room uses the bathing or toilet facilities the bathroom comes alive and you can hear it all through the drainage. Thinking about having a shower ? Just go somewhere else to have it, the shower head is fixed and does not move and the shower head feels like a pressure washer with tiny jets, not very comforting. Are you a digital nomad? Wanting to stay connected and ensure you can plan your next visit? Don't bother here. WiFi is non existent, even getting a local SIM has poor reception even more in the hotel rooms. Cleanliness is interesting, there is dust around the rooms, our bedsheets actually had huge stains on them from ironing I presume, air quality isn't great the rooms have this hospital style smell. The hotel fails even the basics and I can see how it appeals to some however, just because it's a budget hotel doesn't mean it's got to be bad and It's not actually not a cheap stay either. I think Ibis as a whole needs to rethink its business model, especially what they want to deliver as value because sadly this stay was appalling.

Booked this hotel as a budget option for Singapore holiday. Overall, a great place. Rooms were small, but we did not stay in the rooms during the day so they were great. Also close to public transportation which was a plus.

Cheap, decent stay The hotel is easy to find. A bit far from the bus stops and MRT stations. Consider this if you have had to walk a lot during the day. The hotel was quiet at night. The room was cleaned. Simple but enough for our stay. There are some metal hangers (fixed to the bar - kind of inconvenient). Our room has 2 universal sockets and 2 ordinary ones. The bed was clean and comfy, which was my main concern and my most satisfied part with this hotel. The toilet was clean as well. Water running good. The drinking water was not what I expected. It was a tap under the sink. The water tasted weird to me so I opted for bottled water from a 7/11 not so far away. The staff was so so during our stay but was very supportive and helpful when calling taxis for us. I still would like a bit more warmth from them, though. The location as said, is not ideal. It took me tons of time to get to tourist attractions everyday (by bus and MRT) but if you take the time to stroll around, there are still things to check out (for a tourist like me). There's a dimsum place near the hotel, a perfect food for Asian families and babies. A few Indian- run stores have very good price and good souvenirs. This was what I love about this hotel - cheap stores and food nearby haha. Overall, a nice cheap stay that worths considering.

You pay for what you get! This is a budget hotel in every sense of the word but if your expectations are set correctly you should actually find the accommodation is quite adequate, particularly if you just need a place to sleep. The rooms are most importantly clean and seem to be recently renovated. I believe this is a refurbed Fragrance hotel and seems it was used as quarantine during the pandemic. The size is what I expected for the price. The main downsides for people will be the shower not having an adjustable head (rain configuration only - but heat and pressure were good) and no refrigerator. You can drink the tap water but there is also a vending machine outside if you prefer bottled. There is some plumbing noise that comes through the walls but I could not hear other guests or traffic noises. Geylang is a lively neighborhood with the red light district and a lot of very local eateries and shops which means you will experience the side of Singapore not everyone gets to see. There is also an excellent coffee shop a few meters away. At the same time the hotel is a not-too-bad walk from the EW mrt line making it convenient for accessing the airport and central city. Considering this was a relatively short notice booking and the price was less than some hostels in Singapore I think it’s a good option for those like myself who need a bed after extending a trip or just need a budget option for a private room and will be spending most of their time out on adventures. I’ve stayed in worse places for more money.

It's clean and budget. There are a lot of eateries nearby and within walking distance too. The place is located on a quiet street, although the soundproofing is not as good, you can still hear people sneezing from the corridors. There is no mini fridge, bottled water, shower caps, toothbrush, bidet/hose available though. Putting the budget in budget hotels. Because the hotel is located on a side street, there isn't much of a view except for the residences directly opposite. Though you can see the top of the national museum and marina bay sands in the distance. And pigeons. So many pigeons having turf wars while I was there.

I recently stayed at Hotel Ibis Emerald Singapore and had a good overall experience. The hotel's convenient location near the bus stop made it easy to explore the city, and having a 7/11 and fast food options nearby was a convenient perk for quick snacks and meals.

Rooms are pretty clean, good hot water pressure. Pretty good insulation between rooms, but the aircons and plumbing are noisy. Seamless check in & check out. Pretty good for the price.

Dirty, very dirty place! Small room. We need to stay one more day. We asked the receptionist and they give us one price. After couple hours, we go to make reservations. Then they give us this room with 50$ more than previous price.

Booked this one just as a place to crash before traveling further to Bali and well, it's a cheap option - for Singapore of course. The rooms are tiny, which was to be expected. Air con is strong but extremely loud, as is the installation in this hotel in general - when someone in the nearby rooms took a shower of flushed the toilet, we heard it all. Windows don't open, I found that frustrating. Lot of nice restaurants in the close neighborhood, metro station also nearby but I recommend to take Grab - it's not much more expensive but definitely more comfortable. To sum it up - I wouldn't choose this option again.

I have stayed here for one night only but I can share my experience. Hotel and rooms are super clean. It is a simple hotel that’s why it’s named even ibis ‘budget’. They provide all basic amenities even though it is a budget hotel including tooth brush, slippers, dryer. Room and washroom is well designed to serve the purpose. In this price range, it is simply great.

The typical of my kind of hotel for travelling. As we always busy sight seeing... we only need necesary things in the room... cleam room, clean bed sheet, clean bathroom and amenities. If you plan to see concert in National Stadium, we highly recommend this place.... convinient walking distance...only around 20 minutes.

Well in the room was dust under the beds, black hair in the shower, some beetles in the room. WiFi worked so so and air condition able to turn on only if the card was inside ( no chance to turn it on if you are the whole day away). Staff was nice but the kindness of the staff doesn’t bring me nothing under these conditions.

Near the bus stop but far from MTR. Small room but have everything you need. Good price in Singapore. Many great local restaurants around. Feeling not safe compared to other area in Singapore. But some how in Singapore. Many police around at night. People have high quality. Not much problem for tourism. Don't worry about the safety. Worth the price^^

Budget AF hotel, don't expect too much, rooms are a little stale and could use a refresh. AC is decent which is important in singapore, shower is absolutely rubbish and showerhead won't stay in place. Kallang MTR is a bit of a walk in the humidity, nearby geylang rd has plenty of great value food.

  • 3/5 Marco G. 7 months ago on Google
Well the rooms were not bad the only thing was the shower is a mess all the bathroom gets wet when you shower. Service was terrible and location is not the best place to stay in Singapore.

Hotel was clean n new. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We stayed on the 4th floor n the housekeeper was pleasant too. Location is safe and close to local eateries and convenient shops. Kallang mrt station is not that far and there is a bus station nearby. The hotel is highly recommended.

Room was adequate and clean. You hear the plumbing from other rooms. Wifi is no good. No bidet. The lobby stinks a bit. But location is okay. Many food choices nearby but mostly Indian. The nearest mrt is a bit of walk.

  • 5/5 Hồng Miên Nguyễn T. 8 months ago on Google
Clean room and reasonable prices compared to other hotels in Singapore, easy to get MRT or bus to sightseeing places. However, the room is lacking so many essentials such as sandals, shampoo, hair conditioner, fridge. Maybe because of that price I supposed.

  • 5/5 Swapnil B. 8 months ago on Google
Very near to the nearest MRT station as well as the bus stop. Spacious and clean rooms. Very fast service and good staff. For the budget price few essentials and stuff like mini fridge was missing but overall value for money and excellent location.

Simple but clean accommodation. About a 10 minute walk to the train station. Good AC and staff were happy for us to store out bags there before and after our stay.

Relatively good value hotel in Singapore. The checking process is fast and the hotel seems to be clean overall. Our room was small but comfortable overall. They provided instant Coffee, a kettle and a dryer. Only 2 towels as well. ( No hair o hand towels). Only 1 soap that works for hands, body and as shampoo. This was my second time staying on a Ibis Budget Hotel ans the experience is ok. A place to spend the night and get some rest. On the bright site, the Train station is about 10 min walking , there are plenty of restaurants and convent stores around.

Clean hotel, well located, just a short walk from Kallang MRT. Or take a bus to get even closer. The main selling point is the relatively cheap price for getting midrange hotel luxury in Singapore.

  • 4/5 Poul Erik B. 1 year ago on Google
Friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are as described - clean & small. Nice view from 8th floor. Location is too far from everything, and the nearest mrt is a 10 min walk. But the buses can bring you to centrum in 15 min.

AMAZING! I really had a hard time finding an accomodation for my family trip. All the affordable options are filled with 1 or 2-star reviews. I was a bit nervous when I booked ibis busget Emerald. But the experience was sooo good. Check in was super quick, the cleaning lady was so helpful. The room had everything we need, looked new and clean. The water in the bathroom was very strong which was relaxing and refreshing. Room temp worked fine. Highly recommended!!!

Spend 5 days 4 nights at this hotel for Twice concert and extend for solo traveling. The location is at geylang which is a red district area but I feel so safe here even during my solo traveling trip. As expected from one of the most safest country in the world. The location is near from national stadium and indoor stadium. I just walk to the singapore indoor stadium for Twice’s concert which is nice. I recommend to stay at here if you are going to attend concert. It also near 7eleven store, restaurants, and bus stop. For MRT station, the nearest one is Kallang station which around 10 mins walking. The pedestrian is really smooth, you can bring your luggage by walk. Had a minor trouble when check in. I can’t open my room with the key card but the helper lady help me to open it, so I can put my baggage and get a quick rest before I went out again. Told the receptionist on my way out and it solved real quick. For the room is quite spacious for budget hotel, really clean and it have basic needs. But, I recommend you to bring your necessary (soap, shampoo and skincare). It also very quite during night, I can rest really well here. I drop my money (coins) under the bed and too lazy to pick it up so I just left it there and went out. Later at night, I surprise because the coins I drop is putted at the desk by the helper. Really appreciate the honesty!, thank you so much. The lift did not have key card access, so I assume even for someone who is not a hotel’s guess can enter but the receptionist is standby 24/7 and it place at the front of lift. Which I assume they also check and look who come and go. It was a great experience to stay here, will stay at this hotel again especially at 8 floor.

Had a great experience at Ibis Emerald in Geylang. For the price that we paid, we were more than satisfied. Very clean rooms and responsive staff. Additionally, they were not reluctant at all, nor did they charge us, to store our luggages after check-out (until we needed them to go to the airport).

  • 5/5 Sohaib S. 1 year ago on Google
Given its rate, I would say its very good hotel. The rooms are small but they are clean. Has all basic amenities and staff is very helpful. Remember its a budget hotel so don’t expect five star facilities. For a 2 star hotel they are doing great job.

Was known as 'Fragrance Emerald' since it belonged to the fragrance group of hotels. Super clean and comfortable european style rooms and smiling service always. Receptionists are very polite. Loved the stay here. Even the area is great and sooo beautiful.

Hotel location is perfect because the environment is quiet. Lots of restaurants nearby and also convenient stores. Walking distance to bus stop, and a little far (but manageable to walk tho) to Kallang MRT station. Kid-friendly, but bathroom has no lock so the kids can easily go inside while you’re doing your business 😅 staff did a great job with maintaining the cleanliness. Would book again next time 🤗

I had a fantastic experience at this hotel! The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive throughout my stay. Their professionalism and helpfulness made me feel genuinely valued as a guest. It's clear that they prioritize customer satisfaction, and their positive attitude greatly contributed to a memorable and enjoyable stay. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone seeking exceptional service.

This location is quite and safe. The entrance layout is neat with warm welcome from the reception. The hotel house keeper had done a very good job, thanks for the room tidy and bathroom are fresh smell with clean towels. But the single room is too tiny for adult.. LP
