Joo Chiat Complex is a popular shopping mall among shoppers looking for Malay traditional costumes, carpets, and jewellery. It retained the building facade, and most of the staircases to the shops are in the 70s-80s - nostalgic setting. If you like to travel back, do take drop by at Geylang Serai. To provide an excellent shopping experience for everyone, Joo Chiat Complex has undergone a series of upgrading, boasting a new façade, toilets, and air-conditioning. If you are looking for a strategic location for your business, do check out Joo Chiat Complex, as it offers office spaces for rent at competitive rates.

I am neutral about this place as I am not the targeted customer. But this is a great place for Malays, businesses are targeted towards them and the place is air conditioned. There is another side that is open air and fairprice is located over at that side. The escalators only go up. To come down there are lifts or stairways

The place to go looking for linen, from tapestry to cushions, from curtains to cloths of all colours, shapes & sizes. Three floors with lots of choices for Malay clothes, jewellery, household & decorative items. Rates are reasonable. Ample parking at the annex building (though without lifts).

Depends on what you're looking for, this is the place to go to for your Malay-Islamic stuff. Except for some Chinese shopkeepers, the rest of the them and almost all of the patrons are Malay/Muslims. Apart from clothing for special occasions and daily wears, there are carpet, curtain and gold jewellery stores.

A large array of things can be sold here. For Muslims, there is a small praying area at Gedung Warisan so you can continue to shop in peace.

Joo Chiat Complex is a one stop shopping for Malay/Muslim. There 3 floors of shops catering to the Malay/Muslim. Price are reasonable but can be expensive for Boutiques. On the 3rd floor, there is a alteration shop for those who needs to alter of your Malay Baju Kurung. Friendly and afforable. Can do the alteration within the an hour for simple request. My wife favourite shop; Gold shops. Meng Seng, There is a shop; Hj. Yassin on the ground floor who could arranged for the Eid Adha Korban. Ample carpark space; MSCP at Blk 2 above NTUC. Security 24 hours and overall experience 'Awesome' Joo Chiat Complex is for the Malay/Muslim as Chinatown Complex for the Chinese and Little India for the Indians.

Its an old commercial center that has significant importance for chinese, malay, india community people. Over the period of decades it has been a commercial cum trading center for community. Earlier it was called changi center, has been renamed now. Currently it is termes as an old fashioned mall with traditional style revails. Recommended to be market heaven for malay indonesian items to buy. Interesting place and should be a must visit on your list if you want to explore insight singapore and not only catchy with modern singapore.

Building needs repainting looks old and dull looking. Smells damp. Ventilation is poor. Escalators to the higher floors are not working. Otherwise a good place for ready made Muslims outfit. Suggest to bring in HALAL cafes in the building

Singapore is a very interesting place. I don’t find it to be particularly fun but there are places worth visiting for shopping, eating, and exploring. Joo Chiat street is one of my favorite places to wonder, drink beer, eat street food, and shop for cheese.

Clean and convenient to get hijab, muslimah wear, dates, and many more. There are two outlets of Toko warisan at the 2nd floor. You can get shawls, tudung, jubah, men jubah, honey, hijab inners, etc. At the basement you can see carpet shops, utensils shops, flower shop, and also bedsheets and pillow cover shops. Happy Shopping 😄🛍️

The place is a lot more livelier now during Ramadan, the month leading up to Eid. Loads of curtain, carpet, cushion and table runner options. There are a variety of traditional malay outfit boutiques and jewellery shops on the upper floor.

Sadly lost its charisma and character because the Malay Singaporeans did not appreciate its beauty. This place is only excited to visit during the Ramadan Bazaar but still not as excited as the Xmas light up in Orchard Road or Chinese New Year in Chinatown or Deepavali light up in Little India.

Iconic heart of Geylang Serai. It housed many famous shops such as Tokoh Warisan, Haji Hashim book shop and jewelleries shops that been there since 1980s. Still must go place especially during ramadhan hari raya shopping.

Nice array of shops selling good quality Malay traditional attire (baju kurung, baju kebaya, baju raya), both ready to wear and custom tailored. Can also find shops selling handicraft and accessories, Malay wedding decorations and religious books. However, the wheelchair toilet on the 2nd floor appeared to be under maintenance, and the staff there told me it’s been “under maintenance” for months. When we wheeled my mum-in-law to the 1st floor wheelchair toilet, the floor was very very wet. We could not use it. See photos.
