This time around I tried the vegetarian stew. I didn’t like it at all. The vegetarian meat was tasty, but the sauce was way too sweet for my liking. It tastes a lot like cinnamon. I also tried the regular stew and I loved the taste of that stew. I do have to commend the restaurant on their array of (vegetarian) dishes. It’s nice to see a restaurant be this inclusive. The two owners of the cafe had traveled the world before opening up the restaurant back in 2006, offering some of their favorite meals from their journeys. The Mosquito Coast is one of the more high-end restaurants in Ghent, and their meals aren’t cheap. I wish I could have tried the Mac Marrakesh again to see if it was as good as I remembered.

I said am feeling very hot and I would like to sit under fan and continue to sit on the same table. Only these particular 3 tables had a fan on the ceiling. I also said I would like order another tapas and beer. The waitress with the curly hair and glasses did not serve me anything after that and I just payed the bill and left the place. This was very unacceptable, highly unprofessional, down right bullying and shameless. I think it showed lack of proper training and guideline to staff members. I would ask customers to be aware this kind of behaviour next time. They also mischarged me on my bill for 2.5 euros extra after I caught the waitress she gave me back cash with a smirk.
