The personnel is super friendly and helpful. For the food, it might be all freshly made (as they claim), but the taste unfortunately have room for improvement... The gyouza, which normally should be pan fried and come with a nice little crust, we're in fact steamed dumplings with a pretty different taste from anything I've tasted in Japan (a bit faded). The tantan ramen is supposed to be a taste and spiciness bomb, but the soup was actually a bit fade, even compared to regular shoyu ramen. The minced meat in the ramen is just plain minced meat without any taste additions (supposed to come with a little lit of spices), and the noodles a bit overcooked (not chewy). If you expect authentic Japanese food, you will be disappointed. If you don't, and enjoy softer tastes, you might like it. In my opinion, there are some really nice alternatives in Ghent (Zuru Zuru and Umamido being the best, more authentic ones). So I think I would give it 3 stars (not bad, but not especially good either; and certainly not memorable), but the friendliness of the people got it up to 4 stars anyway 😊.

We had lunch here on a cold snowy winter day in Ghent and it was a most wonderful experience. The staff were so friendly and extremely accommodating, enthusiastic to offer explanations and customize dishes to suit. The spicy pork mince bowl was phenomenal, the best I've had in my travels through Europe. I also had the homemade lemonade with ginger and rooibos, this was also fantastic and very refreshing. I highly recommend dining here for a very hearty lunch, followed by a stroll through the memorable streets of Ghent, or just a cosy post-ramen nap.

I had the classic tantan ramen. I was blown away by the texture of the noodles. It felt very authentic to the one you will eat in Japan. After giving compliments to the chef, he admitted that the noodle is home made and that everything else is made freshly. No wonder such a restaurant is running beautifully and it's almost always packed with people. Waste no time and go here if you'd like to have an authentic feel of what japanese noodles taste like. They're very good at what they're doing!

We were looking for lunch during our day trip in a particularly cold day in Gent and we found the perfect place. The food was delicious and the familiar atmosphere made us feel very comfy! Highly recommended!

Both food and drinks were very tasty. Cosy table to sit outside. Only open around lunchtime though when I visited so I suggest to check opening hours.

(Translated by Google) Could be much better! The broth does not taste like much, can be spiced much more. It is better to use beef steaks (instead of roast beef?). After a few minutes it is already tough. I would also use other vegetables (eg pak soi). The noodles need to be cooked longer, I would rather go for other noodles. I suspect the broths are the same for all four dishes. Probably the reason why there is no more flavor in it. A packet of noodles from the supermarket tastes better. Certainly not worth the price. I thought the noodles from Marco Polo (Bruges) were already bad, but this is worse. Hopefully you do something with the feedback. - I'll say it next time, but I don't normally use extra seasonings to get a taste of the kitchen.

Quite cozy ramen place. The menu is small, it consists of three different ramen types (pork, fried chicken or tofu) with varying ingredients. They also have other snacks such as edamame. The taste of the ramen soup is good and the portions are big. The staff is nice. Price is around €15 for a ramen.

I stopped by for lunch on a Friday and had the pork belly ramen. The soup was delicious and had just a touch of spice in it from some red flakes you could see as you slurped the broth. The dish was filling and contained some crispy pork belly and a full sized, soft boiled egg. The flavors were really good and I felt it was a good size for the price. They also had some complimentary homemade pickles that were very tasty, too! Overall a great experience.

The food was impeccable! You can tell that it's homemade with love and passion. Not fatty, not too salty. The shop is rather small but it adds to the unique atmosphere (doesn't feel commercial) and sorta reminds us of Golden Gai in Tokyo. Highly recommended - will defo come back! :)

(Translated by Google) Looking for cosiness, authenticity and pure food! This hidden typical Japanese Ramen Noodle Bar is a representation of how people like to eat noodles, everything comes from their own kitchen (broth / noodles / etc!) And is freshly prepared with love and passion. A restaurant where you will be warmly welcomed upon arrival, where we could take a seat at the most beautiful place in the store: "chef's table" where everything is freshly prepared in front of you. We have really enjoyed the beautiful and well-made (authentic) taste dishes. And it was also very cozy !! something we can still learn from in Amsterdam!

For lovers of noodles and oriental food, tout cours is an absolute must. Just do it! (Original) Superlekker, met aandacht voor de regels van de kunst en toch uniek. Delicious ramen, we had the vegetarian and crispy chicken ramen and veggie dumplings as side dish. Food was amazing and great service. Be aware... the portions are generous ;) we couldn’t finish the whole bowl.

Real artisanwork! We have been there yesterday for lunch and it was simply outstanding! The place is run by a very friendly young man who makes everything by himself from scratch. You can taste the love that is put in the work. They do not serve a lot, but try to serve what they offer at highest quality. The only sad thing is that we are from munich so this lunch will stay our only experience. But if you are in ghent vor visit or live on ghent - support this place and thank me later!

Delicious and super authentic! It's very small, so be aware you're going to have to squeeze in with others (Japanese style), but that plus the friendly owners makes for a really cozy experience 😊

A great, authentic Ramen place. The food was delicious and the people were very nice! They even offered us some Halloween sweets and even if it was very crowded, they stayed calm and served everyone without having to wait too long. Love it!

I am really into ramen and i have the advantage to eat proper ramen in düsseldorf (little Tokyo) once in a while. So i have some expectations. We had the vegetarian ramen and it was very plain and tasteless and also the noodles did not do the job. Dont get me wrong it was not really bad or something but if you ever had a Japanese ramen you know the difference.the owner was very friendly and we loved the atmosphere plus the offered beer. So i still give 4 stars

It's been several months (years?) since my partner turned to me and said: "hey look, there's a noodlebar here, we should go in sometime". To cut this story very short: we went in and it feels like we never left. The food is delicious, the noodles are homemade, the interior is cosy and you get to sit at the counter if that's something you like (which we do), the two people who run the place are simply the best! Always friendly and inviting, they know a lot about Japan and they tell their stories so interestingly. Just wonderful and kind people. After all this time we find it our honour that we can call them our friends. Do not hesitate! Just go in and you'll thank me later 😊

Went there last week for dinner, left blown away. Best ramen I've had to date (noting that I haven't been to Japan yet to try it there). Noodles had such great texture and flavor, I think they were hand-pulled. The broth was rich and had a nice little kick to it. When I didn't want bean sprouts, I was offered an extra egg as a substitute, no charge. Excellent service even without considering that. I just wish the shop weren't across the ocean from my home; otherwise I'd go all the time! If the shop ever makes tshirts for sale, I hope they can ship to the US..

This ramen bar is an absolute gem! The food is amazing with possibly the best gyoza I've ever had. The mom and son duo who were working were fabulous and gave l amazing service. If I only lived in Gent I would be a regular!

I have to say that I really like this place. It's very cosy and nicely dressed up. I was a little suprised by how small it was, so it can't host many people at the same time. We were with 3 people and each ordered another type of ramen, as well as the normal and vegan gyoza. And everything was delicious! The ramen was a pretty big portion and I wasn't able to finish it, but I ate about 80-90% of it. The only minus point about my experience was the chairs, which were a little uncomfortable to sit on for a long amount of time, as they were just small wooden stools.

Visited for an izakaya event so no ramen this evening. Was really impressed by the food in combination with some delicious sake, curtesy of Oh my sake. Food was simple, but Well put together with very well executed components. It's rare for me to come up without any shortcomings, but they were hard to find this evening. Highlight of the evening was definetely the curry with pickled marinated egg (perfectly cooked btw) and pickled ramenas.

I was sooo glad when I found this Little spot, I’ve felt very welcome and the staff is so nice and easy. Great noodles if you like ramen, Vegan options since they make it from scratch. They also have sake and great yuzudrinks, try “the ramen girl” ! When I was visiting they had a collab with the bar next door which was very fun, I’ve never thought I would eat ramen accompanied with highway to hell and have such fun night☺️👌🏼 Loved it! Thank you guys!
