A great place to stay. The very steep and narrow staircase was built in a time when safety was less important than today but that adds to it's charm. Rooms are large, warm and have a street view. Staff were great.

I'll be honest: it's cute, small and accommodating. I loved the location, so close to the city center and everything you need at a walking distance. We got the top floor and it was a bit of a pain to travel with luggage up and down because the stairs are narrow as heck. The only thing I wasn't a fan of was the room itself: apart from some minor things, the shower felt scalding at times and there was always a puddle of water collecting in the shower stall due to poor drainage. But it was still a good place to stay with good (small) breakfast.

Was here for breakfast and absolutely loved the ambience of the place. The food was also great in taste, must say it was the best cheesecake I have ever had!

They served me boiled eggs without peeling. during my breakfast. I believe the cook there doesn’t know how to peel fast the eggs and leaves that job to the customer ( not good). If he reads this , here is my tip: use cold water while you peel them. The place is really understaffed and the waiter did a great effort to serve me despite having little time. Kudos to him. The prices are reasonable. 3 stars for the waiter ( the Spanish speaker one ) and the prices.

Checking out tomorrow afraid. 3 pleasant nights in room B above the cafe'. Very clean and spacious room in an old building. Wooden floors, Nice city view from the balcony. Shower works perfectly. Nice staff and lovely breakfast. Beers and food are nice for dinner or snack. I'd come back here.

A great cozy cafe with reasonable prices and a tasty variety of menu items. It is open earlier than other cafes around it and has a great chill vibe and pleasant outdoor seating area. Would definately come back, especially for the sandwiches!

AVOID THIS PLACE PLEASE!! My wife and I stopped by as we were both looking for a spot to have some breakfast, and this place looked cozy. We ordered two cappuccinos and two rolls with one small slice of bacon and one fried egg. The length of time waiting for the food was exaggerated and also considering the size. My wife found a hair floating in her coffee and immediately informed the owner. The waiter admitted it was his hair, and only replaced the coffee, but charged my wife for the coffee!!!! We had also ordered another two rolls, but we had no discount!!! Very disappointed.

Stopped for lunch at Faja Lobi by chance during a day in Gent. Great service staff friendly and food lovely - and amazing value. Mackerel sandwiches and veggie sandwiches awe ordered. They are not sandwiches but rolls. And you get two beautiful wholemeal, light and fluffy, tasty rolls each. 13€ was all we paid. Lovely setting close to Gent Centre. 5 stars all the way.⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

So lovely - tastiest meal we've had in Belgium so far! A bit off the beaten track which also feels more authentic :) and there's still a lot to look! We had wings to start (which were great!) and each got a delicious sandwich, Goats cheese, Faja and Masala Chicken. Everything was absolutely lovely! (Faja was the favourite!) Also had tasty Coffee and beer! Service was excellent, efficient and friendly. 10/10 - skip the high street and head over here!

Nice rooms, but when a problem occurs (for example, when the key to your room that you booked is missing and they told you that you will find it on your door) no one responds to your messages.

Posting from the very place. An early morning, island of calmness. A comfy place that serves very decent coffee in suffused light. A good start of a day.

I just want to review the Cafe and my experience there. I sat down, was greeted by the staff, and waited (i am not joking) 1 hour. I did not wait 1 hour for the food, i waited to just receive the menu in the first place. During that time I requested the menu and signalled to the waitress three times. The cafe was empty and I can only speculate on the reasons for this horrendous behavior. After this hour i left (again in clear view of the staff who returned "good bye" on my way out). I would add this place to everybody's don't-waste-your-time list.

Most expensive glass of water ever! But nice beers. Could not believe I was charged 2.20 euros for a glass of plain water. Not a bottle.. a glass. And having other drinks on top. Nice place but bad experience.

Nice cosy place. The food is cleanly freshly prepared and very tasteful. The buffet for 18 euros is a steal with nice selection of vegetarian and meat dishes.

I come here and want to order a drink at the bar, nothing against the place and the location but the barwoman seemed super unflexible. It’s like talking to a doll that doesn’t react lol. Good drinks!

An amazing room, with an ensuite. Views of the street a generous breakfast included when you stay and prime location in the heart of the city.

Wanted to drink a cocktail as an appetizer, prior to a resto visit the neighborhood. Asked for a Dark 'n Stormy, brown rhum with ginger beer ... But where was the Rhum??? And nothing aside to accompany my cocktail ... One timer ...

We had a lunch there twice, very tasty food (we had Soto soup, and it was delicious), friendly stuff, great combination of price and quality of food. Highly recommended!

Inquiered about a buffet style lunch for 10 people to see if something could be arranged. Very helpful staff to make sure the buffet was to our taste. Unique and delicious kitchen with great veggie options. Would definitely recommend!

One of my favourite places to have a glass of wine and some excellent food. Seriously. Go try it. It's heaven. Small and cozy. Not great for wheelchair users or pets. Great for you and a friend or two to have a laid back chat.

It's a comfy restaurant nearby the canal and the cathedral. We drank some bears and ate some snacks. I liked the large menu for drinks and the attention provided by the nice bartender. I found the place very close to the center and the terrace is perfect for hanging out with your friends in summer.

Very local, authentic spot with kind peeps and good coffee and breakfast! One thing to note, no lift in the building, so expect to climb a flight of quite narrow and high staircase to get to the rooms. But the view from the room really compensates!! Excellent stay.

Can't say anything bad about it. The B&B is above a restaurant bar, but noise is not to hear. The roim is really big with comfortable bad and beds. Breakfast is simple. Price is very good. For Parking you need to use unfortunately an underground parking area. The staff is very friendly and helps. You can easy walk in 5 minutes to main center. This is for me the choice for a good stay in Gent. And the restaurant is very good by the way-I would say indian style.
