Ideal
location
for
a
hotel,
situated
in
the
heart
of
Casemates,
but
enough
out
of
the
way
that
it
was
quiet
during
the
evening.
There
were
ample
amenities
for
a
four
star
hotel,
the
downstairs
gym
was
well
fitted
with
plenty
of
equipment,
the
rooftop
pool
with
bar
was
simply
idyllic.
The
outside
seating
area
made
for
a
great
place
to
spend
a
couple
of
hours
socialising
in
the
evening,
and
the
top
floor
breakfast
area
was
a
perfect
spot
to
see
the
sun
come
up.
Evening
meals
in
the
ground
floor
restaurant
didn't
look
too
extortionate,
and
the
drinks
were
reasonable
for
hotel
standards.
My
only
issue
was
that
the
key
cards
weren't
great.
I
had
trouble
activating
the
lift,
getting
in
to
my
room,
and
getting
the
card
reader
in
the
room
to
work.
My
colleague
also
had
similar
problems
and
I
saw
a
couple
of
other
guests
struggling
with
the
cards
outside
of
their
rooms
and
in
the
lift
too.
Breakfast
was
pretty
hit
and
miss,
although
in
the
main
it
was
very
good.
The
first
morning
they
had
ran
out
of
butter
very
early
on
(we
arrived
at
7:30am),
and
on
one
morning
most
of
the
hot
food
had
gone
cold.
The
selection
on
offer
was
more
than
acceptable
though
to
accommodate
all
tastes
and,
aside
from
the
butter
issue,
everything
else
was
kept
stocked
up.
Housekeeping
left
the
room
looking
brand
new
after
cleaning,
and
the
complementary
drinks
(including
prosecco!)
and
chocolates
in
the
fridge
were
a
fantastic
touch.
All
the
staff
were
extremely
friendly,
and
I
would
definitely
recommend
it
for
a
pleasant
experience.
