We decided to walk around the island and this was on route at the far end facing North Africa , Its within a well kept area with other things to look at and read up on the history, has a small cafe next to it a play park too for the little ones and also there is a bus stop 🚏 that can take you straight bk into town. Worth the visit…………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………

Great place to visit if you like lighthouses. We packed a picnic dinner and looked over at Africa whilst relaxing. Really enjoyed it here.

The Europa Point Lighthouse is a prominent landmark located at the southern tip of Gibraltar, a British Overseas Territory. It stands on Europa Point, overlooking the Strait of Gibraltar and the northern coast of Morocco. Still an active lighthouse which was changed over to LED in 2016. Here are some quick facts about the Europa Point Lighthouse in Gibraltar: 1. Location: Europa Point, Gibraltar, at the southernmost tip of the peninsula. 2. Construction Year: Built in 1838 during British colonial rule.Height: Stands approximately 49 meters (161 feet) tall. 3. Design: Distinctive white tower with a red lantern room. 4. Function: Guides ships and vessels through the Strait of Gibraltar. 5. Views: Offers panoramic vistas of the Strait, Moroccan coastline, and the Rock of Gibraltar. 6. Accessibility: Easily accessible by road and a popular tourist destination. 7. Historic Significance: One of the oldest lighthouses on the European continent.

Located at the southern tip of Gibraltar, I can definitely recommend this place. You can just drive here and park you’re car right in front of the lighthouse for free. Come here to look over to the African continent and see cargo ships entering/leaving the Mediterranean Sea.

Alllll the blues.... A must see spot if in Gibraltar, you can see the top of Africa across the Gibraltar Strait and to the right across the bay you can see Spain (hopefully it is a clear day) You also get a really cool view of the Rock. It is very windy... so be prepared for that.

Nice walk from the dock. Incredible view from the top on the way back and charming passages down the hills.

Lookout point with lighthouse and battery, detailing the history of the area. Ocean views looking out to Spain and Morocco. Local buses (#2) drive from the central station (marketplace), near to Casemates Square, but the walk back to town is easy enough, too.

A must see place in Gibraltar. Monkeys are harmless and friendly don’t come to you. Lots of space to walk around and take pictures. Great price for the experience. Staff are also very friendly.

We did a walkabout around the lighthouse and battery. I don't know about getting into the lighthouse so we didn't try. It looked unaccessible to me. Nice wind and breeze there as you're getting the winds off the Atlantic and Mediterranean sea. I also never realized the Prime Minister of Poland lost his life in WW II off the shores of Gibraltar.

Visited on a sunny late September day, beautiful weather, lots of parking, toilets and good access. Great views of the Gon Straights, the Med and out to the Atlantic, along with Spain, North Africa and of course the UK. Great view too of the southern end of ‘The Rock’

Super atmospheric place. I recommend to visit it in the sunset time, the photos are beautiful. It's a public place so you don't have to buy tickets or wait. Also the big parking is present there so it's not a problem to find a place for your car. I'm not sure if there is any public transportation here so recommend to use your own vehicle.

Makes a change to go away from the crowds in the centre and up the cable car route. Been recently upgraded with fantastic viewpoints of the sea routes from Atlantic to Mediterranean.

From this point on Gibraltar one can clearly see Morocco, Africa. Across the strait Mount Sidi Musa stands high. At night the city lights of Belyounech and Eddalya in Morocco are beautiful. I highly recommend visiting Gibraltar. There's even the Gorham's Cave Complex which is a UNESCO World Heritage site containing evidence of Neanderthals living there so long ago.

A great view point on the strait of gibraltar (if there are clear sea and skies:)), there are lovely benches to sit and enjoy this magnificent point. There is a coffee shop near by, that you can buy some snacks and drinks. Lovely place to stop by if you are visiting Gibraltar:)

Interesting place of a historical lighthouse. You can see a lot of ships crossing the Gibraltar Strait. All shipping traffic for Europe goes through here.

When we visited Gibraltar our tour bus took us to Europa Point Lighthouse and we got off. There is a small hill to walk up from the parking area and there were a few benches you could sit and admire the view. On clear days as like Malaga you can see in the horizon a sliver of Africa which I think it's an amazing thing. There were a fair amount of people here however please be cautious with who offers to take your picture as there are sadly some people here who take advantage of the tourists.

Quite an impressive place to visit but I wouldn't go again using a tour since there is not enough time to appreciate the place and really enjoy it

Super noticeable and iconic landmark along the most southern point of Gibraltar. Great for taking photos and the sight of Africa behind it adds to the quality of this location

If you have ever been to Portland in Dorset (U.K.) you’ll already see similarities between Gibraltar and portland, these are multiplied when you visit Europa Point lighthouse, it reminded me very much of the home I once lived in. This is a great spot to look out over to Africa, there are some telescopes scattered around to take in the sites better. The water around this tip, one of the most Southerly in Europe and certainly in Gibraltar can get incredibly rough. This said it’s a peaceful place to visit. Unfortunately you cannot access the lighthouse.

It’s worth seeing. Parking is free and right on site. Go underneath the big canon and you might learn something about the Mediterranean Sea that I personally had no idea of… If not too hazy, you should see Africa.
