Calle de la Corrada, documented in 1752 in the Ensenada Cadastre, owes its name to having hosted the first bullfights in Gijón during the San Pedro festival of 1660. Its buildings, built at different times, house a large group of commercial and leisure establishments. In the lower part of the square is the old Town Hall, built at the end of the 18th century.

It gives its name to the old bullfights that were fought there until a wooden one was made in Begoña and at the end of the 19th century the one in Bibio. Nowadays it is a meeting place for youth on the terraces of the many musical bars it houses.

As a square, it is fine, it is pretty and it is in Cimadevilla, which is the Old Town of Gijón (although it is better not to drive around the area because the pavement is terrible). It is very good for a walk and you can see the different buildings and houses. Then I don't like the bar with the same name at all.

Picturesque corner of Cimadevilla where you can enjoy a good cider and rest after the tour through the curious alleys.

Tremendously clean. Good atmosphere, good location and less noisy at night than expected for the area it is.

👍👍 Nice big sandy beach. There weren't any chairs on the beach so you have to go with your own stuff, but the water is so clear and you have so much space around.

👍 Gijón's Architectural jewel was worth visiting, however we would recommend taking a guided tour if you have time which gives you access to panaromic view from Tower make sure to book it in advance as time slots are limited, that being said you are free to visit campus and admire it's beauty from out...
