Enjoyed visiting the LBJ ranch, very peaceful and quiet Texas hill country. Not too many people the day we visited. Lot of history happened here. Recommend stopping in the visitors center and watching the video before you tour the property. House was closed to visitors at the time we visited so also recommend checking before you go if you want to go inside the home.

A wonderful view in to the life of a US President. I recommend visiting the LBJ Library & the park on the same trip. It was funband they're not too far from each other.

We toured the farm house first and then drove to the LBJ house. The house itself was closed for renovation while we were there, which was disappointing. We walked around the grounds and tried to imagine the parties and BBQ picnics that were held here. We were able to see the swimming pool and the plane that was parked in the back. We then drove down the road a bit and visited the family cemetery and the house where LBJ was born. You can also visit the one room schoolhouse that LBJ went to as a young child. Beautiful countryside and it was very peaceful and serene. We saw quite a lot of deer as well on the property. We enjoyed our visit.

For first-time visitors, start in Johnson City at the visitor center. We recommend watching the two 30-minute videos. One of them is the life of LBJ, and the other is of Lady Bird. There are other Johnson historic places in Johnson City. After that, drive 15 miles west toward Fredericksburg and turn into the LBJ State Park entrance. At the visitor center, get permission to do the driving tour of his ranch. His ranch house and the airplane hangar are both closed for renovation until 2025. You can still see the Airforce One under an awning, and the drive around the ranch is worth the time. The views on the north side are beautiful.

Visted on a Saturday afternoon. Visited the school, the graveyard, the house and the plane. Lots of info about LBJ. The house where he grew has actual audio from Lady Bird Johnson which was pretty neat.

Most of the buildings were closed to prepare for some event. Drove around the farm, stopping at several information boards explaining LBJ's life and presidency at the ranch.

Never even knew about this plane. Very nice national park. Very well recommended. Don't know about cost since I'm a veteran and wasn't charged.

If you love history. This is a place you would want to come and visit. The birthplace of LBJ. The 36th president of U.S.A. Where you will be able to see his childhood home and his home The Texas White House (15 mins away). He even had his own airplane tarmac when he traveled back forth to Washington.
