Having the Catalan menu explained and being offered tasting glasses helped us choose dishes and drinks we really enjoyed. The 2 vermuts were distinct in their herb mix and hence aroma and taste. We loved the stuffed calamari, bacala mousse and meatballs. The staff were friendly and attentive.

You will not see so many 3x 5-stars in my recommendations, but for the price the quality of the food and service is fantastic. We set inside next to the wine and had a place with good atmosphere. Just order in different rounds, they take their time and give you comfort. Our bottle of ecological wine (€28) made it a bit more expensive in total.

A wonderful evening with some great friends. I discovered Malabarista in February when I visited Girona for some cycling. I was warmly welcomed then, and again on this return by the lovely owners. We probably drank a little too much, but the tapas, cocktails, and vermouth deserved it. The meatballs with vermouth are amazing and a must-have. Thank you all.

Great variety of vermús! Perfect location in a little square just close enough to everything but still a bit removed from the chaos. The barman was super patient and gracious and walked us through different types of vermouth which he pationatelly described. We walked away with a new appreciation for this drink!! Turns out I've been mixing Negronis all wrong in my life! Will definitely come back if I ever find myself in Girona again!

I get it - it's Spain and they are extremely slow (or know their rythm :), but we came 45 minutes after bar supposed to be open and the guy was yet to start putting tables outside and asked us for ten more minutes. Vermuth however was worth a wait, really nice place with a wide variety of them.

We had lunch and came back later for a drink. The food was good - meatballs in sauce, calamari stuffed with sausage and chorizo in melted cheese. Manhattan was excellent and they have an amazing selection of vermouths. Samantha, the owner, was extremely kind and friendly. Definitely recommend!

I passed through the nice square and wanted to have one quick wine after a long day of travelling and sightseeing. The staff refused to seat me at a table, after asking, or even find a more comfortable chair, also after asking. So instead of enjoying my drink and the atmosphere of this lively little square, I was seated facing a wall on a bar stool. Two couples arriving after me got tables and chairs set up for them without having to even ask. Please don't spit on solo travellers, this left me a very bad feeling of your bar, feeling totally uninvited.

We went to several different vermouth bars in Girona and la Malabarista was the best. The vermouth selection was excellent. The owner was friendly, provided excellent recommendations, and remembered us on our return visits. She also allowed us to sample a number of different vermouths, which was incredibly kind. The premises are beautiful and the square where the outside seating space is quiet and picturesque. If you are going to drink vermouth or really any sort of alcohol in Girona, you should visit la Malabarista. It is simply excellent and an essential Girona experience.
