Friendly staff. Clean Hotel. But don’t be fooled by the pictures you see online. Especially of Gran Ultonia & the terrace there. It was confusing, I thought Gran Ultonia which was more expensive than Hotels Ultonia were two separate properties but apparently they were the same. Good location but nothing great about the space and interior. Breakfast was passable too. Made me sad. Especially because pictures and property didn’t feel the same.

Everything was great except our room. It was clean and simple but small and dark. No problem there, but the bed was so horrifically hard and uncomfortable that we had to leave after the first night, I couldn't do anymore. Like sleeping on a plywood board. I put my pillows underneath me to try to cushion my hips and shoulders. It didn't help. Apart from that, it's a great location, nice staff, reasonable price, cool rooftop bar. But don't try to sleep there.

The staff made us very welcome, tried to help and advise us on our trip questions. Hotel is very well located, clean rooms and good views from the rooftop bar to the Cathedral. Will recommend it and come again.

The hotel and lobby are very beautiful and the check-in was very smooth. Our lovely room had great amenities and a very comfortable bed as well as a lovely bathtub with hot water. The breakfast was delicious. All the amazing staff at the hotel are very professional and have exceptional customer service skills; whereby, all the staff were always smiling and willing to do whatever it takes to make your stay truly memorable. Thank you very much for an amazing wedding anniversary and we will surely be back.

The hotel is very central to the train and bus stations. Only a few minutes walk into the centre of Girona. A clean, comfortable hotel. Room had air conditioning, bed very comfortable. The breakfasts very good. Lots to chose from. The reception staff helpful and polite. A big thank you must go to Manuel and Karim on reception who absolutely made our stay a very happy one. They were so friendly and helpful. Each evening when we returned back from a day out they welcomed us with a smile and friendly chat. What an asset they are to your hotel. I can honestly say they made our holiday a wonderful experience. I really hope I can return one day.

The room was quite, clean, modern, the mattress firm and provided a great night sleep. The lounge chair was a nice touch, lots of amenities, just in case you forgot something, from tooth brushes to shower cap. The service was right on, personal, friendly, considered and at breakfast the buffet was constantly refilled and made look appetizing. Breakfast buffet had plenty of healthy choices, standard coffee espresso, cappuccino machine. Local charcuterie and cheese selection, etc. The roof top bar is the jewel here, absolutely stunning set up, new view of old Town church, beautiful layout and the perfect spot to have your first afternoon drink, beer with friends and colleagues. By coincidence I found out the have large conference rooms, large enough to have graduations, weddings or conferences, heavily served by the busy staff. The garage is top modern, like in Europe everywhere tight spots, but so clean, one could eat from the floor (lol). Lots of bicycle tourists were here enjoying the central location of the hotel.

The hotel itself was well-equipped, comfy and very central, but I’d like to highlight the staff above all. They really went all out of their ways to accommodate us with anything we needed, which is something very valuable. Thanks for the great experience.

Great value for the price paid. Staff was very friendly (especially the front desk guy who I think was from DR-super friendly and nice, sorry I forgot his name). Location was awesome - close to the old town and the train station. Room was OK. It was rather warm and the A/C did nothing. Also, the bathroom could be engineered a bit better - it was impossible to take a shower without getting the whole bathroom soaked and the water temp changed suddenly a few times.

Very helpful and friendly staff. Big very clean rooms, amazing shower room. Big roof top bar. Amazing breakfast with a huge selection. Close to everything and parking in the building. Highly recommend Hotel Ultonia to anybody going to Girona. I will definitely stay there next time i go to Girona.

We found the Hotel Ultonia to be a perfect place to spend our first week in Girona. Staff were attentive and helpful. Rooms were clean and quiet. Beds comfortable and the bathroom was great. The breakfast buffet was complete with everything presented nicely. We had rented bikes and used the bike storage room. It had everything to clean and do adjustments on bikes. Room was secure with easy access. The rooftop bar was nice for a nightcap with a great view of Girona. The hotel is a great value and we had no issues. Walking distance to restaurants, shopping and site seeing.

Great hotel. Located close to the old city. On the fifth floor there is a terrace with a great view and breeze. The rooms are spacious, clean and every day everything is changed, arranged as if it were the first day. Varied breakfast, it has everything, even orange juice squeezed on the spot :). I was here for 7 nights. Highly recommended!

Everything was great in Ultonia, the staff was very friendly and helpful, the room was neat and clean. There was a roof with a great view of the cathedral where I spent a little time just to hang out. I would describe it as a very smart and good choice.

We arranged our first group cycling visit to Girona this year and choose to stay at Hotels Ultonia due to its central location and cycling friendly facilities. Many months out the team at Hotels Ultonia where friendly and super responsive to our many questions! Our booking was made easy, deposits collected and a warm welcome given when we arrived. The rooms where clean, tidy and functional in the 3 star part of the hotel and also great value compared to hotels in the Old Town. The bike room was perfect, it was secure, spacious and well equipped. We kept all our bike boxes there in addition to our bikes. Each day started with a good breakfast from the buffet and every evening we would meet in the roof terrace bar for a few beers! If visiting Girona to cycle then I highly recommend Hotels Ultonia.

Fantastic hotel. They hosted Trek Travel and there conference space was perfect. The staff very hospitable and a great bike room. Stay here if you are cycling in Girona! Oh and a roof top cocktail bar!

We took a group of 25 US cyclists with IberoCycle Tours. Everything was perfect; the bike storage facilities, the meeting rooms, the staff were professional, extremely friendly and made us feel at home. We also had a great group dinner. Ideal for cyclists and cycling groups. We will be back!

The room is clean, TV was not working. But I didn't ask to fix it since don't understand Spanish and had no time to watch TV. In the toilet, they put a comb and 3 pieces of tissue but neither a toothbrush nor toothpaste. Breakfast is nice 16 euros each morning. The breakfast fee is not included in the room fee.

Close to the touristisc attractions. Good location for sightseeing. Rooftop very nice with a lot of cocktails, and some tapas (Maybe à little but expensive but we pay the view). Huge breakfast as good in pastries as in savoury dishes

We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Ultonia. Beautiful hotel, very clean. Staff are so helpful and friendly. Rooms airy and cleaned every day. End your day with some great food and cocktails on the balcony with stunning views.

The Gran and other are part of the same building. The buffet breakfast was very expansive and good but coffee was not included strangely. The bar at the roof was great and they have some snacks and food but kitchen closes early. Seems that some rich couples come there to the roof and hang around there. Wifi speeds were good. Parking in basement was paid and a nightmarish experience. The tighest toughest I have ever done.

We were in Girona primarily for road cycling and really enjoyed our stay. The buffet breakfast was excellent- one of the best I’ve ever had! The bike storage room in the garage was awesome - super secure and we were provided with U-locks for peace of mind. There are tools, a pump, water cooler and a hose to clean your bike. The balcony & rooftop bar was awesome to relax in. Great location, only a 10m walk to the train station and 5mins into town. The room we stayed in was quite small, but it didn’t matter as we weren’t there much. My only complaint would be that the aircon wasn’t very strong so it was quite hot at night, in cooler weather this wouldn’t have been an issue at all. All in all, highly recommended!

Stayed one night at the Ultonia. Great location, lovely staff, and very clean room. The breakfast was excellent, didn't get the opportunity to try the roof terrace bar as it was raining. Secure parking was an extra cost and navigating from the hotel to the parking was a funny given its close proximity and an interesting 1 way system. Would highly recommend as a base for exploring Girona.

Recently I stayed here for a business trip - it was fantastically located near where I was performing as well as a stone's throw from the usual sightseeing hub (cathedral etc.) Room was very spacious with a fantastic shower and bath combo, and a good air conditioning system! Breakfast was fantastic, great eggs and a selection of cold meats and juices. Service was fantastic as a member of staff actually gifted us an old Samsonite suitcase when they saw that we used a vintage case for performances! A nice bonus to an already lovely stay Much appreciated!

Once again really enjoyed my stay here .The room was clean with a wonderful shower . On this stay I selected the 3 star Either version keeps me happy. In the cycling storage they have added a cold water dispenser .....fantastic idea and very welcome and the beginning and end of a ride. Also it is secure ..clean with a bike wash.

We have been one whole week in this great hotel. Everything was perfect. Breakfast was Supr diverse and tasty 🤤. The room are large and beautiful. The bid is super comfortable. You have reached in the room And a big cupboard. I highly recommend.

five of us stayed for three nights as a cycling holiday and also to enjoy time in Girona. The hotel is in a great location right near the centre. The cycling room is great with secure storage, tools and even a bike wash. The hotel is great, rooms clean and comfortable, good choice at breakfast and friendly service all round. The rooftop bar is awesome - the photo is from the bar.

My friend and I stayed at Hotel Ultonia for one night as we were traveling around Costa Brava. They were very accommodating from the get-go. We were tired as we had just flown in from California, and they were able to check us in early so we could freshen up. They were also able to call us a cab later, and the breakfast was great quality buffet. We were also able to enjoy drinks in their terrace to view the sunset.

We were in the 3 star section. Good rooms and a very professional staff. The walls were a little thin though.

Worst night ever. At check-in the reception did not warn me that the street is extremely noisy. At 3am I gave up trying to sleep (drivers having fun getting the most possible noise out of their cars and choppers with loud music, probably insufficient sound insulation of the room too) so I asked the receptionist if they had an earlplug, which they did not, but kindly offered me a quieter interior facing room, where I could finally get some sleep, unfortunately only until like 8am, when someone (probably cleaning staff) opened my door and thus woke me up. My stay was _not_ during St. Johns eve, which is 23-24 June and my stay was 25-26 June, so I assume the disturbance was not due to special circumstances, but rather a regular weekend night.

Nice hotel situated within walking distance of the old town. Staff were lovely.

Clean, modern hotel with an excellent staff in a great location. WiFi was good too. Be sure to take a drink and tapas on the roof top terrace at sunset. Easy walk from train station (even with luggage) and nicely situated near Independence Plaza and old city. Simple but clean gym is available by reservation (1 hr blocks) but it is terribly hot and no ventilation. Similarly, HVAC in room never did achieve the set point (21 degrees) even though it was not particularly hot outside. Pet friendly is nice, until the neighbor’s dog howls and barks non-stop while they are away.

Great location and parking outside to drop off bags etc. Free Car park close by if you cannot use hotel one. Staff were very helpful and polite. Lovely roof top bar. Room was basic but spacious. The only downside was the outside noise through the night hence 4 stars. Shower was good and breakfast very good

Great location - short walk from Griona train station and a stone throw away from the historical centre. We were allocated a corner, bright and spacious room overlooking the railway and a side street (the train noise is not an issue for us as the windows are well insulated). The reception staff (Jose, Luis and the lady whose name I did not note down) are professional, helpful and friendly offering advice on places to visit/restaurants/ice cream parlour recommendation. We requested a kettle in our room and one was promptly delivered. We are very happy with our stay and have no hesitation in recommending it.

I was there (in 4* hotel) during the weekend. The staff on the reception was very helpful and did not make any problems to change the room, and the select for us the quiet room as the hotel is attached to the very busy street. They also help to serve us the non-gluten breakfast. We enjoyed much staying in this hotel. It is conveniently located to the old-town

Wonderful hotel for the price. Room was modern and well-appointed. Room service for breakfast was prompt and very tasty. Located within a close walk to everything and would absolutely stay again.

Stayed here five nights on cycling trip. Quiet and well appointed. Will allow you to keep bike in your room though there is a bike store. Breakfast was good. Roof terrace pricy but very chilled.

Cannot recommend this place highly enough. We came for a cycling trip and everything is catered for. Bike storage room downstairs. Rooms are spacious, clean and well appointed. Breakfast is outstanding and the staff are so welcoming. Plus it’s extremely good value for such a great location near the town centre. It’s a must for anyone visiting Girona.

(10/19/22) – Superior Double Room, $90 per night. We had a wonderful time at the Hotel Ultonia in Girona. We chose this hotel for its location near the train station and Old Quarter. We found this hotel very affordable and in a very popular location. We didn’t choose any of the hotel dining options, but they do offer a breakfast option. We found many good restaurants nearby to enjoy. The room was up to date and met our expectations, but much smaller than what you would find in the new world. Overall we were very happy at this hotel. Hotel Ultonia is a very nice place in a very convenient location. When comparing price and amenities, it met our expectations. We would highly recommend a stay at this resort.

The rooms are super clean and comfortable, lovely shower. The staff are friendly and helpful. Best included breakfast I have ever had- gluten and dairy free options, fruit, cereal, nuts, 3 kinds of eggs, cold cuts, cheese, bread station, and bakery/pastry station. I would 100% stay here again. Close to the busy nightlife and restaurants along the river.

This hotel is a classic in the center area, has been well renovated so the rooms offer a high standard of comfort. We also enjoyed the nice terraces with views to the old town. The service was very good and helpful all the way through our stay.

Welcoming staff who were helpful with all questions and problems. My phone charger had an issue and the person at the desk helped me problem solve and then lent me a charger. The room was comfortable, clean and pleasant. The hotel was quiet at night. Breakfast included a wide array of delicious food. The rooftop lounge with indoor and outdoor seating(and heaters) was a relaxing and once again had excellent staff.

Staff were consistently welcoming and helpful, especially Jose, who helped with our bikes, arranged a cab to the airport, provided excellent restaurant recommendation, and always with a smile! Wide range of delicious food choices at breakfast buffet. Cool rooftop bar with indoor and outdoor seating. Would definitely stay again.

Hotels Ultonia is an amazing hotel to stay at to enjoy the amazing cycling around Girona, but is also an amazing place for hosting an event. We had a 100 person even at this hotel over 4 days and I can’t say enough good things. All of the hotel staff treated us with care and went above and beyond to give us amazing customer service. They were very flexible with our group’s needs. The conference rooms were spacious and the daily coffee and clean up service was exceptional. If you are coming here some or for sn event you will not be disappointed!

We had a wonderful time in Girona and our hotel experience was ideal. The location is absolutely perfect, the rooms were so clean and spacious and the rooftop bar was the perfect place to enjoy a cocktail at the end of a beautiful day. The best thing about the hotel however, was the staff, they were very helpful throughout our stay and beyond. We had unfortunately forgotten some items in our room and they were so accommodating and understanding and kept the items safe for us until we were able to collect them. We really appreciated it. Thank you for such a wonderful time and we already look forward to our next visit! Gracias.

This hotel is perfectly situated near to the river and the Old Town. The Reception staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was immaculate. Very nicely decorated and very clean. We had breakfast included and there was a good selection to choose from. Again the breakfast room was very clean. We could not fault this hotel and would thoroughly recommend.

Excellent place to stay in Girona. Helpful, courteous staff. Professional service. Phenomenal location, short walk to various parts of the city. Especially convenient for cyclists with the secure bike room, bike wash and bike service area. Will be back!
