The place is good but the rooms were warm in the night. The location is pretty close to the touristy spots like just above 1 km. The place was cleaned everyday but the rooms were very small for 6 beds. The place let us keep the luggage even after checkout which was good. They provide lockers as well per bed free of charge but a deposit was taken for the key and lock of 2 euro. The place has a kitchen which can be used for quick meals. The breakfast was free and good as well you can ask for any changes to it as per your requirement like Veg or anything.

I've been to a lot of hostels in my time, but this one is by far one of the best. Unbelievably welcoming and accommodating staff. Told them I was arriving late, "no problem." I said Ive got to leave early could I sneak into breakfast earlier, "No problem." Don't even contemplate going anywhere else in Girona, this place was amazing.

Enjoyed my two nights here. Staff helpful and friendly . Great breakfast. Other travellers friendly also. Met a couple of great guys and we had fun in Girona. Great town . Lot of history and the old town is a must. Very glad I came.

Yeah, not sure about this place the day staff are friendly and inviting but the night staff are just plain rude and stand offish. You get what you pay for a bed - no air con and lots of mosquitoes but you'll meet lots of cool people sharing the "Can Cocollana experience" with you?

Very cozy hostel, felt like a home. The included breakfast is nice and it is very easy to meet people! Would stay here again!

Very clean, friendly and close to everything. Better than some hotels. So clean that one can go to the bathroom barefoot. A lot of handmade signs also eliminate the commercial side of the place. And of course, the cats and the dog...

I stayed two nights on separate occasions. The price is very reasonable for the location and facilities on offer, I would not hesitate to return if staying in Girona again looking for an affordable (and comfortable) stay.

Very nice place to stay. The staff was pretty friendly and the garden was very nice to sit and meet poeple from the hostel. The location is a bit less because it's far but not to far to walk so it's ok. I really enjoyed my stay and the breakfast was really good! (For a hostel unique in its kind) so 👏for the owners and staff for doing a good job!

Really close to the train station. A little far from the old town, but effectively just a nice stroll. The staff were fantastic, and their kitten was adorable. Rooms exactly as described. I'd happily stay here again.

Perfect hostel. Small, cozy, has all the amenities you need. Great spot to meet new people. They have a nice dog and two super sweet kitties. Breakfast included. The staff is attentive and helpful. Highly recommend!

A decent hostel however the rooms didn’t have proper air conditioning which was such a pain. It’s also a long walk to the main attractions in Girona however I rather enjoyed the walk to and from. Hostel is in a quiet area which was a positive.

In general, atmosphere is very cozy. Rooms and bathrooms are very clean. I liked it very much! It was definitely my best stay in Spain! :)

It was the dirties hostel I’ve lived. I got flea bites on my sweaters and clothes and the rest of the 2 weeks I’ve been suffering continuous flea bites. Don’t live there, they don’t wash their linens and sheets thoroughly.

Worst hostel I ever stayed in. Place was absolutely filthy and staff were almost never there, and were very unhelpful when they were. I ended up leaving a 2 days early but would have left even earlier if I could

This is a really cute little hostel. The staff were very friendly and I immediately got a „homely“ feeling. The decor is really nice, there are lists of restaurant and bar recommendations (including vegan and vegetarian options), and in the cozy courtyard they also supplied mosquito spray (natural citronella spray as well as the stronger mosquito repellents) for those chilling outside in the evenings.

I loved the vibe: its location, the beds, the breakfast, the staff, and the owner is very nice, and knowledgeable about Girona and the neighboring towns and connections, all her travel itinerary advice (I travel with a bike) turned out to be very accurate!

A great place to stay if you're seeking to visit Girona. Lovely staff, comfortable beds and also very close to Girona-Trainstation. Will surely visit Can Cocollona in my future travels !

It's a good option for those wishing a place to just rest (well, kind of because I had this guy who snored like a cow in labour throughout the entire night!!!) I honestly didn't sleep a wink that night!!! Social wise, just meh. The staff there are not the social kind. On the last night, I was told on my return to the hostel that they had given my bed to someone else because they thought I had checked out!!! Like, seriously?! Yes, the situation was resolved but it should not have happened at all!

Stayed here for two nights in a 6 bed dorm with shared bathrooms. Arrived here in the morning. The hostel is easy to miss especially as there’s not sign outside the house. The only sign is on the door, which is recessed, so easy to miss. The room wasn't ready, but that was fine because check-in was afternoon and I was going straight to Figueres anyway and I ended up checking in about 8pm. I was shown the dorm and around the hostel which has a kitchen, a living room with a large table and benches, plus a garden area with plenty of seating. The whole hostel is kept very clean, I was a bit apprehensive about a dozen people sharing two bathrooms, but it worked out just fine. Both the bathrooms were really clean despite being share with so many people. The dorm was shared with 5 others, but it wasn't too tightly packed together. It had a balcony with a couple of comfortable chairs and to help with the hot summer nights, there was a fan and an air conditioning unit, so I was able to sleep despite the temperature, Breakfast was included in the price andI thought it was good by hostel standards and for the price. Three types of cereal, fresh fruits, coffee, tea, cheese, bread, toast and even a orange juice machine. Location wise, it's very close to the train station and about 5 minutes walk. It's about 10 minutes walk to the Rambla and max 15 minutes walk to the old town. Around the hostel are several mini-markets within a 5 minute radius, although it's about 10 to one of the bigger supermarkets. Overall, a very enjoyable stay and if I'm ever in Girona in the future, I'd love to stay here again.

Such an awesome place! Staff were really helpful with any questions I had. A nice homely feel to the hostel, very welcoming. Clean and tidy and the bed was very comfy, easy to access and good connections to girona. I had an excellent time at Can Cocollona!
