I had a great time visiting the Kigali Public Library. I have missed going to the library and yes, it was an opportunity to get that calm, seeing others studying and just diving into reading too. The Library is need and we'll managed. I like the ambience and the books are great. I like the location too. It is just opposite of American Embassy. It isn't far away from the Kigali Genocide Memorial Centre. Got a major hospital close by too. If you are looking for a place to just soak in and get a chance to read up, go to the Kigali Public Library. No noise, no distractions.

They say they’re only open for book withdrawals, and are otherwise closed for renovations. Well over half the library is clearly not undergoing renovations. Book organization makes no sense—political philosophy is beside dictionaries. They have a good book search system, but actually finding the books in the library is a different story. It seems like it could be an incredible library, but is managed by someone who has no love for their job.

Beautiful edifice. Everyone there was productive and engaged. The point of entry was like nothing I've ever experience before. Passport #, serial number of device to be used, phone number, date, time in/time out, metered internet connection and bag check. Lots of security around but kind and helpful. One guard assisted me in finding a universal outlet to charge up. I will probably return again before I depart the area.
