Great
student
accommodation
with
very
helpful
and
friendly
staff.
I
live
in
the
smallest
available
room
(see
picture)
which
has
an
en-suite
bathroom
and
a
shared
kitchen.
The
bathroom
is
tiny,
but
offers
all
the
comfort
you
need
in
a
stylish
way.
There
is
not
too
much
storage
space,
so
many
people
bought
an
additional
clothes
rail
or
shoe
rack.
(Argos
is
within
walking
distance
or
there
is
a
bus
that
takes
you
directly
to
IKEA.
;)
)
The
kitchen
is
quite
big
and
has
room
for
socialising.
It
comes
with
a
microwave,
but
no
kettle
(can
be
easily
fixed
by
buying
one
from
a
charity
shop
for
2£).
There
is
also
a
TV.
The
only
downside
here
is
the
kitchen
table/chairs,
which
are
uncomfortable
in
my
opinion.
All-in-all,
it
offers
amazing
value
for
money.
(For
comparison:
the
equivalent
option
in
university
accommodation
would
have
been
more
than
20£
per
week
more
expensive
and
in
a
similar
location.
Year:
2019)
The
common
area
has
enough
room
to
study,
even
during
exam
period
there
was
always
space
available.
Additionally,
there
is
a
gym,
a
"cinema
room"
(basically
a
big
living
room),
a
shared
kitchen
and
many
games
to
play
(including
ping-pong
and
x-box).
There
is
even
a
tiny
(self-served)
shop.
If
you
receive
a
parcel,
it
will
be
delivered
to
the
parcel
room
and
you
can
pick
it
up
whenever
you
like
(this
is
very
convenient).
The
location
might
seem
a
bit
remote
on
a
first
glance.
However,
being
right
across
the
street
from
Partick
train
and
subway
station
(where
you
can
also
find
a
Morrison's)
you
can
get
anywhere
in
Glasgow
pretty
quickly.
It
is
also
only
a
20
min
walk
from
the
University
of
Glasgow
or
less
than
5
min
to
the
Riverside
Museum.
I'd
also
like
to
address
the
reason
why
many
people
gave
a
1*
rating,
which
I
do
not
think
is
justified:
Yes,
there
were
a
lot
of
fire
alarms
and
a
few
complications
in
the
first
3
months.
However,
they
were
mainly
due
to
the
fact
that
the
accommodation
was
brand
new.
I
personally
loved
the
fact
that
we
were
not
allowed
to
use
our
hobs
and
as
compensation
we
got
3
free
meals
a
day.
Especially
because
this
was
during
exam
season.
As
for
the
fire
alarms,
in
the
beginning
they
were
quite
frequent.
It
is
my
understanding
that
this
was
because
the
sensors
were
on
a
very
sensitive
setting
which
had
something
to
do
with
the
building
being
very
new
(which
has
now
been
changed).
However,
they
were
always
triggered
by
the
residents,
so
there
is
really
no
one
else
to
blame.
