Order - Fish and chips with a pint of Carling. Meal deal! Delicious and great value for money, especially at the moment during this great depression 😂 advertised as £6 but it's actually £7. Time - 20~ mins Presentation - see pics. Looks good. Quality - 4/5 - It's fish and chips, the batter was nice and crunchy and the fish was nice, wasn't too fishy. The chips weren't fries. Proper thick. I didn't touch the green stuff 🤣 The pint of Carling which came in the deal was decent too (there's a selection of drinks to choose from) Quantity - 2/5 - You get what you pay for. Small plate makes it look bigger than it actually is. The portion size is below average but still fills you up for a lunch. Value for money - Brilliant, some places charge you £7 for a drink on its own, throw in fish and chips and your definitely onto a winner. Surely they must be losing money here your stealing it off them at this price lol Additional - I would definitely come here again if you are looking for a quick lunch with a workmate. A must buy!

First time in a pub since the first lockdown to meet up with a great mate and I couldn't have chosen a better pub. The staff are friendly and helpful, the pub has a great atmosphere and ambience. Never had any food but lots of people were having food and it all looked good. Good range of wines, beers, spirits etc. I left my scarf in the pub and some kind Glaswegian handed it in and the staff kept it behind the bar for me. I went in today and collected it, staff again were helpful and friendly. Will be back in The Auctioneers very soon 👍

Always a favourite. Best priced cocktails in the city. Service is great. Food never disappoints. Honestly the BEST margharita pizza I've ever tasted. Don't know what's in the sauce or crust but was amazing

A fun atmosphere for live sports! We watched a football game here on a Sunday afternoon and enjoyed everyone's excitement and energy. You could definitely spend an entire day enjoying the food and drink at Auctioneers.

A good city centre pub with a local vibe. The bar staff were excellent, friendly as anything. The bar has several big screens for viewing football. Different matches on different screens. No sound so not to distract from a good old natter. Plenty of seating for small and large groups.

Right in the heart of the city so mostly popular with local workers for their lunches and post work drinks. Has quite a few large screens so not a bad place to watch sport. Not the best location as it’s down an alley so can be a bit shaded but it has plenty of seats and is no frills

I was there early Sunday,a quick pint before I met Liz. Lovely pub of George Square Glasgow. I didn't have food myself , but the adjoining table did and it looked amazing. Service ,drinks wise was good , staff friendly and nice to talk to. There are a couple of TVs in the back and front showing sports. It is a bit dark though, apart from that very nice. I would recommend a visit

Traditional pub, very popular for watching sports. There is a reasonable menu with vegetarian and vegan options and a good selection of beers.

I had an amazing small breakfast with really great chargilled sausages after midday which is excellent. Great pub and lunch deal is amazing with Irish sausages and colcannon with a pint of beer for £7. Absolutely delicious lunch.

Great place for watching sport. Food is good too. Was there on a Saturday afternoon and was extremely busy so booking a table is recommended if you are going to be ordered food.

Great pub, generally quiet enough that you can find a table. Good selection of beers and lagers. Excellent staff, and plenty of big screens.

I absolutely love this spacious pub and its lunch menus. Fish and chips with mushy peas and slice of lemons for £7 including a pint of lager. Amazing taste and top chef.

Thank you very much to the staff. I lost my wallet, and it was found by one of the girls still with my money in it. First time in here great place, only visited due to a retirement party. I really would highly recommend. One of those places once you find you won't forget.

Been here many times. Very busy venue, uncomfortably so for me. As a 70 year old with arthritis, i need to sit down . I think you would have to camp out all night and be ready for doors open to get a decent seat here. Food is excellent but most times the wait is too long and the seating problem manifests itself again.

Cracking wee pub 2 mins from train station (across from the counting house) nice pints, selection of wines and decent grub. Good prices - got a brilliant fish and chips for 6.50 (add a pint extra £1)

Went for a couple of beers after work. Good selection of beers and busy which is always a good sign. Bar staff were great. Don't be afraid to ask for a sample taste if you haven't tried a particular beer before.

Brilliant live music and atmosphere! If you love spicy food then I recommend the pork bao buns and dirty fries as there was loads of raw jalapeños and was perfect for me. My only criticism is that there isn't as much seating and it was with luck a woman leaving noticed my friend and I trying to find somewhere and offered us her table. Even if you don't get a seat the bar is great to drink at

The staff were so nice, friendly but at the same time efficient and it was busy. The food was delicious. Plenty of choice and came on time. Perhaps the tables need wiped down and cleared quicker

1pm on a Monday, surprised how quiet they were. just stopped for a pint. Prices up but suppose so is everywhere, £5.65 a pint. EDIT following owners response. I do like the auctioneers just on this occasion it was quiet, so atmosphere I pegged in the middle, the service was 5 we had no food hence no stars, if it said food and drink then its a 5. I said we were only in for a pint, I like Joker IPA one of my favourites

Checking into our accommodation yesterday (Point A Hotel, Glasgow) we asked the legendary representative “Ross” for a good pub recommendation and he said “The Auctioneers” was the place to go…commenting that he and his wife love it and go there often. Well, that sounded pretty good to us so off we went… What a GREAT place! Food does not disappoint! I’m salivating just thinking about it again. Hands down the best meal I’ve had in a fortnight of being overseas - and I mentioned as much to “Eve” Eve - what a delight she is! Her customer service and kindness is exemplary. Bonus: thoughtful facilities for customers, including usb charge ports. Top stuff guys! Much appreciated 😊 Cheers from the Aussies 🇦🇺

The food was amazing. I loved it. We tried just about everything on the menu as a big group. All of it was devine. The drinks were good. Lively atmosphere. Very puby bit modern. LGBT friendly as far as I could tell. Clean bathrooms. Helpful staff and the manageress was really nice. Would recommend. I'd have given 5 stars but there was a bit of an issue with with me getting in. But it was resolved.
