Well, I can't review this place really because I was not allowed to enter. Because it was just me. So in my opinion this is a discrimination against single people. I did nothing wrong. I was not drunk, I did not behave badly, my only sin was that I was alone. I have approached the bar because of the music which sounded kind of like my taste. But was told there are other places in the vicinity, go there.

Their open mic night on a Monday is worth dropping in on as it's free and Glasgow has a lot to offer when it comes to open mic nights.

Great bar with only one downfall the frizzy red headed guy with glasses that works the bar rips customers off we watched as he made a tray of white Russians while missing out the vodka . When we got him and orders drinks he just held up the card reader with an amount much higher than it should have been when we questioned it he was furious but admitted it was wrong. Can only imagine how many drunk students he ripps off.

If I could give minus 10 I would.

Staff & Bouncers are lovely! Was asked to leave tonight due to being sick, and the bouncers were really nice about it which I really appreciated! Staff were fantastic also and really friendly and talkative! Their fishbowls are great also!

A must to visit. Great live music & great mix of friendly people. The best bar I visited in my trip to Glasgow. Open late till 3am. Bands stopped playing around 12ish when I was there & that was a Monday

Iain at the door is amazing. After letting the bar know about an incident regarding a man at the bar both the bar tender and Iain the bouncer took action appropriately and quickly. Handled the situation perfectly, couldn't thank them enough. WE LOVE IAIN AND THE BARTENDER 🖤

Awesome place. Great vibes, great music, and amazing cocktails! They have an open jam every Sunday which is loads of fun.

The experience of close friend who attended this venue was very unpleasant. She was hassled by a member of a band playing in the club but was subsequently ejected by management along with a guy who supported her for complaining. Management obviously more concerned about protecting the band and revenue than for the personal safety of female customers. So much for customer relations!!!!

We were here on Tuesday during open mic and Wednessday for the Three Card Trick liveband. Both evenings were equally amazing and all the live music was absolutely fantastic, all of this with no entry fee. The drinks were decently price although the 5 pound minimal on card is anoying. The only real downside is that the bar staff can seem a little standofish

Turned up at 9pm after dinner with my boyfriend and dad who is in his 60s. My dad wasn't allowed in. Won't be going back. Plenty of more chilled out open minded places around.

I visited there yesterday in Glasgow and was served by a barmaid call jasmine...she was very bubbly and friendly. This girl needs a promotion absolute asset to the company

My new favourite Glasgow pub. Music and staff are top tier. I was looking to see Mickey 9s at the Garage on Sat. Was sold out, Garage bouncer said the Box had live bands and worth a visit. At the Box bar chatting to the barman and mentioned the Mickey 9s. He introduced me to a group with spare tickets. Had a drink then went with the group to see Mickey 9s (awesome). Came back to the Box for a few more drinks and met some other friendly punters. The live band were playing my kind of music...Spoonful by Cream, Fire by Hendrix and even threw in Parsons Farm by John Mayals Bluesbreakers!

Went to the Box tonight, music was great and the drink was flowing. There was someone going round tables selling shots in a test tube; a test tube no less! And she was lovely. 10/10 would reccomend. She kept harassing the guy I was with, honestly what a girlboss I love her so so so much please she deserves a raise!

Drinks are fine and the atmosphere is fine. Music is really loud in certain areas to the point your ears are ringing though.

Always enjoy a wee night out here. Various age groups, friendly atmosphere brilliant live bands.

If you want a cracking pub with awesome live music and excellent staff then this is the place , the quality of the local acts performing is world class .

Came early to secure a table to watch live music on a Friday night only to be kicked off the table in favour of a group that "booked" our tables whilst we were sitting at them as the manageress "couldn't close" the booking system on the night. Terrible service and wouldn't recommend this venue to anybody.

Was there for a few hours which was decent but then we were told to move from our table. All the tables around were reserved with a sign on them except the one we sat at which is why we sat at it. We were then told someone booked it over the phone while we were sitting at it … how can you book a table that isn’t available? Another table had the same issue kicked a table of maybe 8 out for 2 people despite the fact the table didn’t say it was reserved because someone called after the fact?? Not great customer service to be removing customers when there are no tables available for people who have booked a table that was never free to begin with

Great female artist on the night of the view headed here for a few beers after it and the drinks were nice and good atmosphere. More pub than club vibe to it! :)

Friends and I go often because they have really good bottled cocktails, and if you get there early enough, plenty of seating for larger groups

Used to like it at Box but i went last night for the first time in ages and was really disappointed with a particular member of the bar staff. It was very busy and i was making my way through people, apologising as i went, squeezing past and one of the barmen, curly blonde mullet and glasses, turned and shouted at me, very aggressively, "Why are you pushing me?!" I absolutely wasn't pushing him, i said i was just trying to get towards the bar i wasn't pushing anyone. He then looked at me like i was completely worthless and muttered "f's sake" and stormed past me. Two men stood in front of me agreed that he shouted at me for absolutely nothing. My friend asked to make a formal complaint and she was told there was no way to do that, they don't do complaints. As a manager in hospitality myself, if one of my members of staff had acted like that i would take the complaint from my punter very seriously. Clearly no one here cares and the bar staff are free to be threatening towards their patrons. As a woman i found it intimidating and extremely uncalled for. If i were a man i suspect i wouldn't have been spoken to like that.

Had boxed tables in box for our Christmas work night first time ive been great atmosphere.. good music and good prices .. staff decorated our table it looked lovely .. staff were brilliant .. definately be back

Was in on a Saturday afternoon for a function, the staff were really friendly and the service was fast. Prices for a pint were spot on too. Would definitely return.

My go to bar whenever I am in Glasgow. The Mrs loves her White Russians and there is always a promotion on. Great live music and you never know who you are going to bump into.

It's an OK place but I hate when they take the drinks away before you finish them ie red stripe bands finish early its a very springy dance floor which can get annoying, otherwise it's still a good place no bouncer hassle, or none at least early on..

Love it, always great service and varies in the crowd which is great for a mixed group.
