Had dinner with my wife at the Glasgow Dakota for the third time. It was excellent, particularly the sides we chose. Capped off the evening with a drink in the upstairs bar which has a great selection of cocktails. Looking forward to going back already.

This hotel is simply perfect. The staff are attentive, and nothing is too much for them. The cigar terrace is definitely worth a try, sitting in comfort while smoking a cigar from the range available. The bed was comfortable, the food in the restaurant was amazing. Overall, 10/10....we will be looking to visit again in the future.

We stayed 4 nights in 2 rooms, everything was perfect! Staffs are very hospitable, rooms are spacious and great locations too. Special shout-out to receptionist team and housekeeping team, thank you for making our stay in Glasgow a great one!

Loved the room we had and a great location. Check-in was clear and friendly. We also ate at the restaurant, great service. We had just got engaged and they gave us a complimentary cocktail to help celebrate. Delicious food and classy atmosphere- really enjoyed thank you!

Lovely hotel situated right in between the city so you can easily walk east/west parts of town. Staff was very friendly and front desk super helpful regarding things to do/places to eat. The room itself is beautiful, large, and clean. Breakfast was wonderful. Parking can be in multiple spots, but I paid for the private right in front of the hotel for ease.

My husband and I stayed one night here, and we don’t normally leave reviews for hotels but we both agreed this place was worthy of a review! The bar and restaurant were great, the rooms were beautiful and very clean, and the location was central to a lot of good spots to eat. The best part of the place, however, was the staff. Everyone we interacted with was so kind, generous, and professional! We’d definitely come here again and wish we’d had more than one night here!

Excellent rooms, great decor, very comfy bed, great ensuite. The standard of the housekeeping was excellent. The reception staff were polite and efficient. The cocktail bar staff impressed me with their knowledge and skill. Location was good, but there was some building work nearby that took a little shine off. Would 100% stay here again.

We only had dinner here so can't comment on the hotel The steak was one of the best I've had and I've been trying different steak places. Cooked just right and very tender But I'd say the dish that impressed me the most was the butternut squash with goat cheese It was so good that I tried to make it myself and it tasted nothing like it😅 I like how there's a different side dish, as most steak places do the boring mash/chips We called on the day to get a last minute table, we were lucky but I'd recommend booking in advance!

Enjoyed a lovely evening at the Dakota. Great location with parking near by. Staff were kind, welcoming and professional. Room was fantastic. We upgraded to a superior king (I think) which was superb. Soft linen, rainfall shower, a nice comfy couch. Lots of lighting options to set the mood. It certainly felt luxurious. Would recommend

Fantastic from start to finish, girlfriend and I stayed for the weekend for our anniversary, outside looks impressive, inside is very nicely decorated, staff were friendly and very efficient, room was brilliant (classic King), bed was extremely comfortable, fantastic waterfall shower was used excessively by us both, best steak dinner we've both ever tasted! The bar was nice and relaxed, cigar terrace outside was very enjoyable too, finished it all off by getting engaged so a good weekend all around for us both :) will definitely be recommending to family and friends, thanks for a great stay!

Overall amazing experience, no bad words to say! Dakota staff are super friendly and welcoming with amazing service. We came here for my partners 21st birthday and our stay has been fantastic, Dakota staff did everything they could to make our stay 10 out of 10. They gave us champagne (twice), payed for our drinks on our first night in jacks bar (which is stunning also) then bought out some brownies with chocolate saying “happy birthday” on which we thought was really nice. The food at the grill is absolutely amazing. We will be back again soon! 🥂

We had the most wonderful meal on our last day in Glasgow. We mistakenly made the reservation at their counter part restaurant and the team were able to fit us in and cancel our online reservations Our server Charlie is a keeper she was so nice. Recommended food options and so attentive. We had such a enjoyable meal and if we lived in the area would ask for Charlie. She was over the top !!! she even recommended places to go to on the Isle Skype. Love ❤️ the Dakota restaurant and our server !!

Absolutely amazing hotel. We were lucky enough to stay in the Executive room which was massive and really tastefully decorated. They even popped in every evening to leave a little chocolate bar on our pillows! Would definitely stay again

This is what true hospitality feels like. Not only do the people make Glasgow, but the staff at this hotel went above and beyond. Our rooms were always tidied up and stocked with water. Felt great to come to our room after a long day of touring around. I’m only bummed that I didn’t get to enjoy their cozy bar. Guess I’ll have to come back.

Good stay at this hotel staying in their Eurocentral location before which was great. Quite dark, which I like, room was a great size with everything you need. Few points. for hotel that states its a Deluxe, i was surprised there are no coffee machines, only sachets of a fairly cheap option. I was also given a room with a disabled toilet which was very surprising, the air con made a noise half way through the night which woke up several times and the smoke alarm needed to be changed or looked at as it kept flashing throughout the night.

What a beautiful hotel with a disastrous lack of focus. Let's start with what is good: It is beautifully decorated. The dark decor makes for a lovely, moody vibe. The shower is great and easy to use. The coffee bar worked well, and the towels are perfect. It is nicely quiet, and the restaurant and bar are great. But here's what didn't work, and it was significant: 1. The mattress was completely worn out with two worn ditches where people have slept. It was literally visible to the eye. We decided to try to struggle through. Bad decision. 2. The dim lighting, while beautiful, is completely insufficient for daytime activities such as packing, unpacking, or reading. Even with the lovely blackout curtains open, it's too dark during the day. 3. Malfunctioning lights abound. One lovely wall sconce bedside the TV was burned out for three days. No one noticed. The light in the closet area flickered nonstop and had to be turned off. No one noticed. 4. The television turns itself off every ten minutes on its own. The engineer said he'd check it, but if he did, it was neither repaired nor replaced. 5. And all this ended with a missing white nightgown that had been hand-washed and left air drying behind the bathroom door. They said they're looking for it, but I have three more weeks of travel. I want this lovely place to succeed, but someone is going to need to focus.

Lovely hotel with modern interior and generous rooms. The bathroom was particularly nice with a great shower. Location is quite good half way between the restaurants and bars of Finnieston and the town centre. 4 star because the service in the hotel bar was shocking, sat down and waited to be served staff walked passed several time and ignored us we just gave up and left. Did not try the grill but the menu looked quite nice.

We had a lovely stay here! The car park options were great and a very short walk from the hotel. The front desk staff were friendly and checking in and out was very smooth. Our room was beautiful and the bed was supremely comfortable. The shower had amazing water pressure! Everything was spotless. We’d read in other reviews that some were bothered by the construction noise but we were unable to hear anything and slept very well. It’s a great location with lots of restaurants in easy walking distance and well located for exploring some of the main sights by foot.

My partner and I enjoyed our stay. We stayed in The Edinburgh Dakota a few times so this time we decided to try here. Everything was perfect starting from friendly and lovely staff, rooms clean, well equipped and the room service fast as well! We dined at the grill, had a steak which was cooked to perfection along with a great choose of drinks list including nice flavored cocktails. We finished our second night at the bar Jacks. Yet again, perfect, fast service and great atmosphere. Thank you 😊

Arrived late on Saturday evening, the staff checked us in quickly and before long we had a cocktail in the bar. After the first one we decided to head back to our room and the waiter offered to bring a second drink up for us. We had a lovely chat with the waitress who delivered our drinks. Staff and service was excellent at all times.

Went for my wife's (special) birthday lunch with the wider family and all present were knocked out by the quality of food and service. The private dining room was outstanding in decor and ethos and the waiting staff could not have been more professional in their approach.

Great hotel! The rooms were very clean and comfortable. Location was great - lots of restaurants and retail around. My husband and I also tried the Butter chicken and Halibut from The Grill they were excellent. Would definitely return to this location.

We really liked our stay here. The restaurant was lovely, room was amazing. The only thing I was a bit annoyed with.. the reception staff not communicating with each other. And when things have been paid, why isn't the system updated? I know sometimes things happen, but it's so embarrassing and they can make you feel like it's you who's made the mistake. It really put a dampener on our trip. I got charged twice for a late check out fee because the system wasn't updated. So had to go all the way back to the hotel after checking out, to get it refunded on to my card. Also was nearly charged twice for the damage wavier. Things like this just put me off.

LOVE this hotel. This was the first time staying in a Dakota and I stayed as a treat for Valentine’s Day. Every single member of staff are lovely. Especially the barman in the library (sorry I can’t remember your name!). We opted for the suite and it was honestly such a stunning room. The food is so good also and it’s in such a convenient location - that’s if you want to leave your room! Overall you’ve converted us to Dakota members and we’ll definitely be back. I think we’ll also go for a suite when we can as you truly cannot beat that room with its stunning bath!

CHIC AND WELCOMING Visited the Dakota with a group of friends for drinks and bar food. The interior is lovely, being kinda dark yet cool and atmospheric. We found the staff to be very friendly and engaging. The range of drinks available, particularly the cocktails was extensive and impressive. The food was well presented and tasty. I had a cheeseburger which was delicious and, for the quality, reasonably priced. A smart and welcoming place which I will go back to.

Honestly one of the best hotels I've ever stayed it and I've stayed in quite a few 4* and 5* hotels in my life. One of the best beds I've ever slept in to the point I'm quite annoyed I didn't ask for the name of it as I got such an amazing sleep. Service was top tier and very professional and accommodating. And the location was amazing due to its proximity to the main high street. The room was very relaxing to stay in and it definitely makes me want to return every time I stay in Glasgow.

Had a perfect stay here! We chose to spend our wedding night here and it was perfect! The staff were very friendly and professional, our room was spotless and the food was amazing. We wanted to change our dinner reservation to lunch, which it was catered to without an issue, and our bags were looked after while we were in the restaurant too. The staff also expressed their congratulations with some prosecco and chocolates for us which was a lovely gesture. The only very small flaw is that the hotel feels slightly out of the way from the centre of Glasgow and there was building works across the road from the hotel but this is something outwith their control. Overall rate this to anyone who is looking for a romantic evening.

Absolutely wonderful food. Cannot recommend this place more if I tried. Whoever is in charge of the food here should be truly proud of themselves. Seven out of five stars for me. Can’t say much about the hotel apart from that as I didn’t stay the night. Thank you for this experience!

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Dakota Glasgow! We stayed in one of the executive business rooms and found it to be spacious, well-appointed, tastefully decorated, and comfortable. The bed/mattress was soft, the linens were excellent, and the shower was amazing. There was construction taking place out our window, but we never heard it. The breakfast was tasty (we had Eggs Florentine and Avocado and Eggs, as well as a chocolate croissant) and the service was excellent. We were located on a quiet street, but the popular attractions were still easy to access with cabs/Uber. My one critique would be that it was a little dark - I found writing in my journal a little difficult without the full lights on, but that is nit-picking.

Although we didn’t stay at the hotel, I felt compelled to write a review based on our experience of using the hotel to charge our Tesla during our trip to Scotland. Firstly it’s in a very convenient location, and the number plate registration is easy and straight forward to use. But the real selling point for this hotel is its staff, they are so professional, accommodating and very welcoming. Despite us only popping in for a coffee on a few occasions whilst we charged, they blew us away and made us feel very at home, as if we were residents. So impressed! Will definitely be considering a stay here or a meal if we’re back in the area.

Beautiful room- we had the executive queen and it was really spacious and comfy. It felt like a home away from home and the decor was sort of dark brown and charcoal. Room service was reasonably priced and quick. If you have the chance to try the olives from the room service, do it- that was one of the best things I have ever tasted... Restaurant was delicious although a bit pricey. Service was really good and the cocktails were brilliant as well. They also have a cigar lounge and it is a really beautiful space. Would definitely go there again- worth the money!

Stayed here a few times. Staff are always awesome. The check in was welcoming. The bar staff are professional. The restaurant staff know their menus. The night shift guys are friendly. The check out is friendly and sincere. The rooms are beautiful for a 4* hotel. The bath is big enough to share - I’d love it if bubble bath or bath bombs were made available!! My girl loves a bath bomb!! Very clean hotel. Run by a very good team. I’ll be back.

From the moment you arrive the staff are friendly and attentive. Check in was swift and we were in our room within minutes of arrival. The room was spacious and very comfortable. Absolutely pitch black at night so sleep was easy to have, bed was too soft for my personal preference but my wife had an incredible sleep. My personal discomfort doesn't factor into my rating. The rainfall shower was perfect and I could have stayed in it all day. Breakfast was excellent and again the staff couldn't do enough for you. Very very pleasant stay and would recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay.
