Having
been
to
a
Normandy
Tribute
night
before,
my
party
was
really
looking
forward
to
the
night.
However,
it
did
not
live
up
to
expectations.
Firstly,
the
food
at
dinner
was
terrible.
The
starter
of
soup
was
ok,
but
could
definitely
have
been
seasoned
better.
For
the
main
course,
there
was
nothing
nice
about
it.
The
chicken
was
dry,
the
bacon
around
the
green
beans
should
definitely
have
been
cooked
longer.
The
potato
part
of
the
main
had
a
cream/cheese
element
to
it
that
seemed
to
have
curdled.
None
of
it
tasted
nice
at
all.
My
whole
party
barely
touched
it.
The
final
course
was
a
very
bland
chocolate
mousse,
mass
produced
type
dessert.
Overall,
very
bland.
From
early
on
in
the
night,
one
of
the
bars
in
the
function
room
had
no
soft
drinks
due
to
the
drinks
guns
not
working.
This
meant
soft
drinks
were
having
to
be
run
from
another
bar.
This
would
have
been
very
stressful
for
the
staff.
It
would
also
suggest
that
equipment
is
seemingly
not
maintained
properly,
which
as
a
customer
is
worrying.
For
the
room-
it's
pretty
standard
accommodation.
The
bathroom
and
bed
were
clean.
However,
there
was
a
door
on
the
unit
that
was
broken.
It
seemed
to
be
something
that
could
have
been
easily
fixed,
but
hadn't
been.
There
was
also
a
light
switch
that
didn't
seem
to
worked
anything,
and
the
lights
on
the
vanity
mirror
did
not
seem
to
be
working
-
or
if
the
were,
the
switch
was
tucked
away
out
of
reach.
At
breakfast
in
the
morning,
there
is
a
sign
saying
please
wait
to
be
seated,
so
I
waited.
Someone,
who
by
the
suit
they
were
wearing,
I
would
assume
is
the
breakfast
supervisor/manager.
I
got
greeted
with
something
along
the
lines
of
an
"Ir
ye
awrite"
and
had
to
explain
I
was
waiting
to
be
seated,
to
then
be
told
to
help
myself
and
sit
down
anywhere.
I
felt
this
was
a
very
unprofessional
greeting.
I
could
also
see
that
staff
with
long
hair
did
not
have
it
tied
back.
One
of
whom
was
cooking
the
fried
eggs
at
the
buffet
station.
This
is
a
worrying
lack
of
health
and
safety
standards.
Only
one
coffee
machine
was
turned
on,
and
this
did
not
work
for
me
so
I
had
to
speak
to
a
member
of
staff
who
said
this
happens
all
the
time
and
to
try
again.
Again,
this
suggests
to
me
equipment
is
ill
maintained.
Although
I
did
not
go
to
breakfast
until
the
last
half
hour
of
service,
by
this
point
it
was
clear
that
the
staff
were
not
bothered
by
how
the
breakfast
buffet
was
looking
or
how
well
stocked
it
was.
I
understand
not
fully
replenishing
towards
the
end
of
service,
but
it
was
messy
and
there
was
a
lack
of
cups
and
glasses
for
beverages.
The
guests
were
having
to
ask
for
staff
to
top
these
amenities
up.
Overall,
I
am
very
disappointed
with
my
time
at
The
Normandy,
and
I
can't
say
I
would
recommend
again.
The
only
redeeming
quality
was
the
entertainment
and
the
service
from
bar
staff
during
the
tribute.
The
breakfast
staff,
plate
staff
during
event
and
leadership
could
all
learn
from
the
bar
staff
who
were
the
only
ones
I
noticed
to
have
good
customer
service
skills.
