Small and cheerful café. Good morning rolls! I had the Lorene Sausage it was so tasty and reminded me of my mother-in-law's stuffing, which I love! Cool spitfire details abound. Excellent coffee!

Spitfire is my favourite coffee shop in Glasgow! If you are looking for somewhere to get food, meet friends, read or get some work done, I can't recommend spitfire enough. The food and coffee is delicious, and the staff are lovely.

Fantastic Scottish breakfast! Delicious food and generous portion - but take note, they don’t have takeaway containers, so consider sharing if you don’t have a big appetite. They have vegetarian and vegan options, though I only had the regular one. Small and lively place, with lovely staff. Highly recommend.

This cafe is definitely a great cafe. The coffee art shows that the barrister knows what he/she is doing. The food was superb. The customer service was fantastic, the staff were lovely to talk to. You may wonder why the 4 stars then, well its because when I was served the coffee they did not provide any sugars or tissues. You could say, I could have got walked up and got them myself but I got an answer for you - it was table service. I will be coming back here, whether or not they provide sugars and tissues.

Very decent place with good coffee and atmosphere. We also tried some food here, but it was not value for money. Even though it's tasty. But in general it is a good place

Ideal location in central Glasgow, just 5 mins stroll from George Square, for a quick lunch or coffee. We had a breakfast burrito and the halloumi sandwich & hot chocolate. Very tasty, good portion sizes, friendly service and reasonable prices.

Delicious full Scottish breakfast in this 50's style Cafe. Very helpful waitress sorted us a table for 5 despite it being very busy. Food was served promptly and was excellent. Home made baked beans was a nice touch. Portions were big and excellent value. Hot chocolate was also delicious! Highly recommended.

Not a very cozy coffee shop, pretty cold in February as they had their doors propped open. Coffee was average, but their selection was wide. We did not eat here so cannot comment on the food. The barista serving was extremely friendly and accommodating. Pictured: Oat Milk Latte. I got a black coffee.

Our first full day on holiday here, and we stopped at Spitfire Espresso for breakfast before our walking tour. The coffee was very good, and the food was amazing. I had the roll with vegan black pudding, and my husband had the roll with black pudding, sausage, and a fried egg. They were very big sandwiches at a good price. The staff were all very friendly as well. What a fantastic way to start a day in Glasgow!

Food 4/10 😕 💖cute staff, very friendly. 💷 affordable. 💻👩🏽‍💻cute place to read or work. You will end up smelling like a kitchen tho lol. ☕️My latte was great. 🍳I got the scrambled eggs on sourdough toast. The portion is nice and big. BUT the scrambled eggs were salty, great texture great portion but pretty salty. And so when i went to pay, the person taking my payment was generous about it. Not alot of people ask nor bother to take note. If you do order your eggs make sure you ask for no salt. The ketchup isnt giving real ketchup either.

What a delightful little gem! Staff is incredibly friendly and kind, food was DELICIOUS, and after 2 weeks in Scotland we FINALLY had some good coffee. I had the vegetarian roll and a side of beans. The beans are homemade!!! The small menu also let's you know they actually care about the quality of each meal. 10/10. Don't skip out on this place, it's worth the extra walk and time.

I have been coming to this place every time I visit Glasgow and it never disappoints me! Great one for nice coffee and a bite, I love their brunch/lunch options. Conveniently located in the heart of city centre towards Strathclyde campus and Merchant city, staff are very friendly and prices are good for the offered products. This time I got the soup+sandwich combo (halloumi sandwich and a very tasty and wintery cauliflower/bean soup) for ~£8 and my partner got the "big breakfast" for £10 (I think). Both we were happy with value for money and more than happy to go back!

Lovely food, bloody loud staff when you enter - which isn't great when you're dying of a hangover and they shout HELLO at you. Nice service but pricey.

I had a delightful espresso and tried my first full Scottish breakfast. The service was great, and the food was well prepared and tasty (although it turns out that black pudding might not be my favourite, but that is on me)

Lovely place to get your chilled out breakfast. Excellent coffee, very good selection of a hearty breakfast. There's something for everyone.

The coffee here is amazing and the server was lovely. The food was very disappointing and a bit disorganised today. Ordered poached eggs on toast plus avocado and mushrooms. Avo and mushroom was £2 additional for each. This is what i got... Another half slice of toast and a small ketchup size pot of avo arrived later. The sprinkling of mushrooms made me sad :/

The five stars is for the flat white and very pleasant service. I'm pretty fussy about my coffee and this just really hit the spot. Dark but nutty and perfect temperature. The eggs with vegan Lorna sausage was pretty good too!

I traveled over 2000 miles in Scotland, went to numerous cafes, and this is by far the best. it's not even close. reasoning: * they have proper cafe hours. if I waited until 10am or even 11am to open like much of the country, I would be very grumpy indeed before my first coffee. * they have proper real filling food. the burrito is excellent and the Scottish breakfast also looked good. * most importantly, the coffee itself is varied and excellent. I prefer a very nice filter coffee, which is almost impossible to find across the Atlantic. the coffee I had was light and fruity, absolutely perfect. this said, I also had a long black and it was yummy as well. all in all the best spot I've been to in some time. if you are visiting Glasgow, I really wouldn't bother trying anywhere else for your morning coffee and food. I came here 3 of 3 days.

Really nice place. Staff were super friendly. I had the Halloumi sandwich it was pretty average. My friend had a breakfast that she really enjoyed. Will be back to try something different.

Great little spot to read a book or grab some brunch with pals. Really friendly and attentive team paired with delicious coffee (the filter coffee is maybe the best I've ever tried) and food makes this a must visit café. It's become my go-to and it's a 20 minute walk away...!

Definitely one of the most joyable coffee spots in Glasgow. This edgy coffee shop is located so close to the centre offering pretty contemporary light roasted tastes with friendliness sprinkled, no wonder it attracts many young and bright vibe. The flat white I ordered is well-balanced with the creamy oat milk texture and a fruity finishing from the beans, really yummy and refreshing. Its interior design has a touch of casualness and playful decoration that also offers a view into the city’s history (the port) as an atmospheric backdrop. All in all, this is a place I’d definitely want to come back to.

Spitfire Espresso is simply the best coffee shop I’ve ever been to. First of all it looked unique and stylish, everything in the store had a vintage touch to it. Their espresso had a very special flavour and tasted amazing. The food looked elegant and most importantly delicious. The prices were a little high but I think it was worth it. I came here two times during my one week stay in Glasgow, and will absolutely come here again in the future. I would highly recommend this Espresso shop. It is an amazing place to spend time with friends.

Amazing wee coffee shop. Dog friendly and used to go as much as I could before lockdown! Food is tasty, drinks delicious, and the staff are incredibly friendly and just happy to be there. They really create such a lovely vibe and atmosphere in the cafe I was so excited to see they're open for takeaway during lockdown and we popped in for a tasty cold brew! Defo worth a visit.

Three nights at Celtic Collections. Day 1, breakfast in Z Hotel, microwaved breakfast brick (sorry, should read “brioche”)! Day 2, breakfast at Spitfire Espresso The “breakfast brick” proved to be the high point... “Pity Greggs was shut....” “Must have been a staff training day at the Spitfire...” “Poor, working (slowly) towards average would sum the review up” Day 3, out of pity, decided it couldn’t be that bad two days in a row and went back..... .......and so should you, what a fabulous breakfast, the Lancaster Bomber was the only food I’d needed since having another the day before. The Fat White (and that’s no yoke) was tremendous, necessitating a second. On their way from “poor” to “average” they need to slam the plates down a bit more, placing half the breakfast on the table and similarly, wobble the cups a bit more such that half of it ends up in the saucer. No matter how many days in a row you go, you will not be disappointed by the food, drink or atmosphere in the place.... As my old car share pal, Ernie, said, daily, “y're a lang time deed”, and this is one place you need to go before you are. 2/10????? PS one of the staff was caught smiling....but that’s been reported!

cracking wee coffee shop. incredibly helpful and friendly staff, reasonable prices, and a fantastic tasting espresso great for milk or black coffees. a fantastic range of options for food also including sandwiches, breakfast style meals, and a soup of the day which (whenever I've had it) has been brilliant! super vegan friendly also which is always a bonus! overall my favourite spot for lunch/coffee in the Merchant City - would definitely recommend!

I'm a huge coffee fan and I just had one of the best espressos in my life at this coffee shop. The brunch was also amazing and really delicious. The staff is friendly and welcoming, they remembered I had come the day before and even joke about it.

(Translated by Google) Well-roasted Italian-style coffee, nice plates for breakfast, friendly and slightly offbeat service. So a good time. (Original) Café torréfié à l'italienne bien corsé, belles assiettes pour le petit déjeuner, service amical et un peu décalé. Un bon moment donc.

I really like Spitfire espresso, the coffee is definitely high quality, and the food is simple but good, does an amazing job. The only thing is that Spitfire can be a very noisy place. But definitely a great place!
