Full
disclosure,
we
booked
a
120
euro
tour
(for
2)
which
we
knew
would
include
strangers
rounding
out
the
tour
group.
Cam
reached
out
in
the
days
prior
saying
that
no
one
else
had
booked
the
tour
and
we
could
either
reschedule,
cancel,
or
pay
an
additional
80
euros
(for
2)
which
would
also
get
us
“higher
quality
whiskey.”
As
that
was
the
only
day
we
had
free,
we
chose
the
80
euro
option.
The
tour
included
four
pubs
walking
distance
to
each
other
and
one
shot
each
(total
of
four
shots)
of
whiskey,
one
per
pub.
While
Cam
was
knowledgeable,
though
not
natively
Scottish,
he
wasn’t
as
versed
in
the
details
of
the
history
or
the
making
as
I
would
have
thought
and
I
found
my
basic
knowledge
of
the
process
and
history
a
decent
match
for
his.
The
whiskeys
were
a
decent
representation
of
what’s
available,
and
the
pubs
were
off
the
beaten
track.
For
60
euros
each,
it’s
not
a
bad
deal
for
3
hours
and
four
drams,
but
with
the
additional
cost
we
could
have
spent
a
little
more
and
had
a
driving
tour
to
several
local
distilleries.
I
think
that
would
be
the
best
bang
for
our
buck.
