Fairly decent Italian that's been in Shawlands since the birth of Christ, maybe. Always busy with attentive, friendly & helpful staff all bound together in the ecletic designed surroundings which only a place that's been around for a while can get away with. Food was fine, not write home to your mother good just fine and not massive portions. I will return. Googled just asked me "has anything has changed since your last visit?"... Aye, it's got about 30% more expensive for the same portion size. Still tastes nice tho. OCT 2023... UPDATE... Still cracking and amazing staff.

If you are not white then I would I would strongly advise you to AVOID this restaurant unless you would like to experience racism?! We will never be coming back to this place ever again!! Its 2023 and cannot believe I had to experience this in Scotland. What was meant to be a romantic evening with my mrs turned out to be a horrible evening. Absolutely shocked and disgusted with the staffs behaviour and attitude towards us!

I love this restaurant where I ate 4 nights in a row whilst at a conference nearby. The service is very attentive and professional, and there was no more than 15 minutes to wait for food. And the food was just brilliant and authentic Italian cuisine served by the Italian waiters. This was simply the best and therefore I highly recommend this place and commend all the staff for making it such a good evening

Incredible. Trying to find gluten free on their menu wasn't the easiest - (garlic bread says doesn't contain wheat but it does) - but otherwise amazing.

This was my first visit to this fabulous eatery. Well I can only say I can't wait to go back. It truly was a great experience from start to finish. The mussels as a starter were the best I have ever tasted. The mozzarella starter equally as good. We shared them and cleared the plate. I had sea bass with saffron foam delicious. Friend had one of the chicken dishes. Sides of fresh vegetables and hot salty chips. Amazing . Staff attentive but not overbearing. They team have got it just right. If my first visit is anything to go by I think you could book with confidence and enjoy a great meal our.

Went here for the 1st time recently on my daughters 21st birthday and loved the place. Really nice inside, food was good and all the staff were excellent. Our waiter Giuseppe was 1st class. He and the other staff including the chefs made a proper fuss of our daughter on her Birthday. I will definitely go back.

Food from here is in no way consistent. The same meals being different each time you come. The spicy chicken penne - my usual go to & usually amazing seems to change day to day; some days being amazing, others being nothing like the usual recipe. I’m not sure if certain chefs standards aren’t as high as others and therefore the food changes immensely depending on who is on in the kitchen but I think consistency is key in restaurants and this is something this restaurant really lacks, from service to food - you never know what you’ll be getting when you arrive.

Food was amazing, staff were very attentive even tho the restaurant was very busy. We shall definitely be back.

We were exhausted, we were hungry and we struck gold finding Oro. A big menu of traditional Italian dishes, delicious starters, rich filling mains and amazing desserts. Kids and grown ups were all very happy. We all rolled out of there ready to pop.

Excellent pizzas. Not terribly warm welcome, at least not compared to how it used to be (I think it has changed owners since I last visited), but the food makes up for it. Quite expensive for what limited choices there are though. City centre prices for staring across Kilmarnock Road to a B&M store doesn't really tally.

Busy and vibrant atmosphere. Food came quickly even though it was super busy when we were in. Food itself was so delicious, I was really impressed with my pasta, the sauce tasted really fresh and pasta cooked perfectly Al dente. Staff were lovely and attentive. Decor a little tacky but don’t let that put you off because this is a wee gem in Shawlands !

I had the Arancini to start, the Spinach and Ricotta Ravioli as a main and the Tiramasu for dessert. All absolutely beautiful and the italian tomato sauce they make for the pasta is the best I have ever tasted. The staff where lovely and very attentive. It had a lovely atmosphere. Will be going back again.

Very good food, very substantial portions. None of us could actually finish their main course. Focaccia is wonderful. Service was quick and pleasant. All at reasonable cost

Visited today for a birthday celebration lunch. Everything about the visit was fantastic - beautiful decor, excellent food and brilliant service ! There was nothing bad to say about our experience - everything was top class. Highly recommended if you like good food !

Pleased to review the Lovely Italian Restaurant ! We had two crispy prawn starters, which although was delicious, however the portion of 3 prawns was somewhat sparse …! The thin crust pizza however was what I’ve been searching for since visiting Rome & Venice, the flavour and texture was first class ! The welcome and service we received was second to none and I congratulate all the staff for making our visit so nice. I have no hesitation to review this establishment and look forward to my return visit ! Well Done …..!

We were there for an early dinner, but we were treated like any other guests. We asked to move outside as it was a lovely night and this was no problem to the staff. The staff were all very nice. As for the food....it was amazing. I had the spicy sausage pasta and my hubby had a pizza. Both were very nice. Thoroughly recommend it.

One of my favourite eateries in Glasgow and a true legend in the heart of Shawlands. The food was outstanding, portions plentiful and beautifully presented. The staff were great and service top notch. I will no doubt be back, and will try leave space for desert next time!

Wow, where to begin… food was raw. Pasta was undercooked. Pizza was cold. Been coming here for years, 2nd time I’ve been and it’s been a disgrace. Heard alot of people complaining about this place. Would avoid now at all costs.
