This place was suggested to us by our driver as one of the oldest pubs of Glasgow. It's a nice rustic place. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that they don't accept cards.....Old school :)

Went for a quite couple of pints here when visiting the city - it was pretty quiet because the football was on but it's just a proper old-fashioned, no frills boozer - but the woman behind the bar was really friendly and up for a lovely bit of chat. Really enjoyed this place and would definitely go back.

This is the real deal if you're looking for an old style Glasgow boozer. It's all a bit rough and ready, but the service is excellent, the prices affordable and there's a real sense this is a bar which serves a community, even if it is being increasingly displaced and gentrified. Karaoke, live music and pub quizzes, and the Glasgow patter is free. Recommended.

Amazing wee pub...streets ahead of the bars in the city centre that have zero atmosphere...the locals make this place....so friendly....we were in on a quiet afternoon and still had the best time ...the old timers banter is superb...reminded me of still game 🤣🤣🤣🤣cant wait to revisit when I return to fabulous Glasgow!......also amazing local butchers next door ....

What a pleasure to stumble upon a bar like this one. Elaine sat and talked to my girlfriend and I all night. She told us about traveling, about Glasgow, about the bar, and about herself. Over the years I have traveled and over that time, I’ve realized. A bar isn’t about having a pint, it’s about the people you meet and the stories you hear. Elaine is the type of people that make Glasgow great. She’s friendly, she’s welcoming to strangers, she’s the type of amazing that makes a traveler feel welcome when they are far from home. This bar has so much heart and soul that I was blessed to experience just a glimpse of it. Thank you Elaine, and thank you for showing us why people make Glasgow great.

Voaww, the oldest public house in Glasgow 1500 something, amazing isn't it ? We were there tonight met some wonderful Scottish young men, who were celebrating Elaine's 60th birthday ! It was a private party that we dış not know but we still could join the enthusiastic cross.

Not my first visit here, and every time enjoyable. But last Friday, 2 weeks before charms Christmas, we took our office Christmas pub crawl into here. 17 of us, and what a night... Arrived around 6pm and never left! Bar staff fantastic, even called in the karaoke lady early for us, and wow... Can she sing!! We danced, great tunes has to be said, we sang. We drank..a lot! Great prices, great staff. Honestly, you can make any night a true laugh in here. Regulars are all very welcoming and fun too. Thanks to all!!

Old school, regular commercial Scottish lagers and ales on tap. Good vibes. I was there only because the great Tony Bourdain had been there.
