God will be your only witness in this place. I haven’t seen a psychiatrist in over a year from this clinic. Every time I go in for an appointment it’s never with a psychiatrist, it’s always with a “junior doctor” for those who don’t know, this title is less than that of a GP’s. They don’t offer any kind of therapy, they only offer medication, and if you have any sort of problems they send you off on your way.

These people are not nice. I was to get help with medication .and a different psyciatrist undermined the one who was to help me . 3 weeks later.i still have no help.this has been going on for one year. They just pass buck to someone else and discharge you... This not mental health........

I have addressed the negative reviews after months of receiving no recourse or relevant referrals. As a defense. They said: we get a lot of Thank You cards for our good services. My next appointment was in a room full of cards. My GP referred me to this Center as they can not review/proscribe long-term medication or provide therapy. At this center, I have begged to have a referral to a psychotherapist and psychologist. The team decided not to give me referrals/treatment as it can make things worse for me. Instead, you can only see a Nurse as a way to shorten psychology and psychiatric waiting lists. My advice is that you can refer yourself to psychology treatment or get a direct referral from your GP to see a psychiatric specialist to discuss your medication and treatment plan. This a Mental Health resource center, but you can't find any information online about what resources they have or have no leaflet to hand out about their services creating more confusion. Due to shortages and NHS underfunding, they can't provide treatment to all. Therefore they discharged patients, gaslighting and refusing treatment.

Shawpark has always been extremely wonderful and I don't have the words to express how helpful they have been and always will be. They deserve respect and gratitude.

Unproffesional staff who pass on stories of past patients to service users I just found out from a service user my name came up , and he knew what happened about the service i was given from shawpark resource centre !! And I am disgusted at this , they should close the place down absolutely disgusting and the service given here is shocking , lack of care & confidentiality . I wish health board knew of the treatment given and no confidentiality for the sevice users . Thank you for that Dr Cairns !!

The rest of the reviews speak for itself. They need to take a look at them all and change their tone. They are self important, rude, insensitive, unwilling to help, belittling, unprofessional and quite frankly my psychiatrist in particular needs to be fired. I'm in the middle of writing a complaint letter. I'm in need of some dire help and they simply refuse to help downplaying all of my symptoms and even the times I went to hospital.

Going here is one of the worst experiences of my life!! Absolutely terrible inhuman care. Doctors aren't even qualified to do their job and treat you like a robot rather than an actual human with emotions. How this place is even allowed to call themselves a mental health centre is beyond me. I would give them negative stars if I could.

A loved one literally attempted suicide twice and they put them on a six-month+ waiting list for therapy. Mental health care in this country is a bad joke. They could not care less whether you live or die.
