Considering half of Glasgow has a rule about solo people drinking, this was honestly the nicest time. Music was amazing, lovwly friendly staff and proper cheesy disco downstairs. Thanks so much for a lovely end to the week.

Such tasty food. I had the vegan katsu burger. The fries were fantastic, skin on, just as I like them, and the burger itself was wonderful. Good atmosphere in the bar itself, mixed crowd, and mixed tunes. Will certainly be back again

Fantastic punky bar in Glasgow with a big club/venue down stairs. Food is also served during the day. A fantastic Glasgow institution. I wish I could give 5 stars but unfortunately for how cool and accepting the staff inside are, whoever they have outsourced the security to have been known to be not very LGBT friendly in certain instances. I love the bar so much but be wary of the door men. Still love it but they can do better

The most lovely service always happy to help, let us order outside food in, the band was insane, the atmosphere and most of all the late night karaoke! Immaculate vibes, highly recommend!

Nice enough bar, but the door staff really let it down, especially the blonde female steward. My friends and I had been in for one round, went out for a cigarette and one of my friends was told he was too drunk to come back in. He’d just finished work and was on his first pint. My other friend left to go to the shop, which he said to the door staff and was refused entry when he tried to come back. We all work In hospitality so I understand that it’s the steward’s job to be vigilant, but it seems as if she was knocking folk back for no reason as we watched a few other people try to get in and were denied. It was 9pm on a Monday so wasn’t like it was super busy inside. I’ve heard great things about this pub but this experience has really put me off trying to go back.

Superb unpretentious Glasgow venue. Staff are tremendously friendly and helpful. The downstairs is perfect for small gigs, and has a great atmosphere. Recently had the pleasure of seeing Rob Heron and the Tea Pad Orchestra, l with supporting act True Strays here. What an incredible night it was too. If you can, then support grass roots music, and do it here

What a lovely place. Great staff. Even the bouncers are lovely. Other bars take some notes please. Queer Theory downstairs is always a highlight. The guys at the desk there are 10/10

Really need to become more aware of what’s going on at the bar upstairs. I was in Scotland for the first time ever celebrating a friends engagement, there were 3 of us waiting to order and a random bloke pushed into the queue at the bar jumping and being a nuisance. Immediately the woman behind the bar said “get all these 4 out”. So due to the actions of one bloke we don’t even know we were labelled and asked to leave. We were very calm and collected and when we originally ordered we sat back down to our tables and was polite to all the staff and kept ourselves to ourselves, I even offered the staff at the front if they wanted a redbull as you’re kind to the staff where I come from as respect goes both ways, unfortunately not here. I have a very bad level of social anxiety and i never go to bars or club scenes so the last thing I would want to be doing is causing issues in these places, I was actually struggling being stood at the bar in the first place. Even one of the security said how she was being unreasonable but we were asked to leave. Absolute ridiculous.

Had a mad craving for buffalo wings so I checked the menu online earlier in the day and planned to meet a pal there later for some food. Was so looking forward to them. Arrived at about 5.30pm (a Wednesday). The kitchen had changed, and there was a new QR code menu on the table, so the one on the website was incorrect / by a different restaurant altogether. We got drinks at the bar and asked about food. The member of staff said she didn’t know what was happening with it and they might not even be serving tonight. We had to ask her to go find out from the kitchen as she didn’t offer to help. It was a super awkward interaction. Needless to say we left without the buffalo wings ☹️☹️

Really enjoyed all the artists! Great talents! Atmosphere was nice as well. The food, however, was not what we had hoped for. Very dry spring rolls and the chicken fingers were also not cutting it. If you only come for drinks, it’s a great place though.

Reminiscent of days slipped past! Nothing much has changed since I was last here 25 years ago! Only quieter. But given it was a Wednesday sure it's jumping at the weekends.

Decent - it’s been around for decades and retains its down to earth feeling. The cocktails sound good in theory but execution isn’t always amazing. Like, the margarita is from a Jose Cuervo ready mixed bottle. Why am I paying £7+ for that? Anyway, music is good. Great if you can get a booth to sit at. It’s roasting on a Friday or Saturday night when it’s packed. Ever reliable!

One of my favourite venues in Glasgow. Never had a bad night here, but had some epic night such as Slow Crush who played last Monday. The open mic is always top as well, and was even 9n up the stairs the same night!

Good drink selection and fair prices. Was also open late. A solid alt dive bar in Glashow.

Student crowd, fair prices, but food is small portions for the price and extremely salty. Staff are very helpful. A bar you would go with your mates on a session, not a quiet chilled drink for food.

One of my favourite places in Glasgow. Always guaranteed to have a good night here. Inclusive and friendly to me and my pals from the LGBTQ community. Great service, deals, and food too. Top marks !

still a great atmosphere - food is a bit expensive but some of the nicest loaded fries I've ever had so worth it. (Full vegan menu aswell)

This place doesn’t accept UK CitizenCards as a form of ID. This is ableist against people like my mate who legally cannot get a drivers licence due to a medical condition.

I am just in love with the quesadillas. However, the staff is not the friendliest, everytime I go most of them are just sitting and the person from the kitchen is attending, cooking and serving which is a bit unfair. But yes, the food is amazing.

👍👍 An excellent experience at Miller and Carter tonight. The food came out quickly and was so incredibly delicious - the steak was cooked to perfection and the beef dripping sauce was to die for! All steaks come with house fries they can up upgraded to chunky chips or sweet potato fried but we honestly...
